Unprofessional and very disappointing

My property was a new townhouse in a very sought after attractive area. When I enlisted my property with SF they promised they had a database of interested customers and my house will sell quickly. I was under the impression that the size of SF would work for my benefit but I turned out to be wrong. I was "just another customer". There was no personal touch or effort put into selling my house. In fact they brought the digital team to do the marketing piece a day AFTER I moved out, when the house was a total mess and without staging anything - showing the house "as is" (and actually worse). At one point the agent advised me to sell the house at a lower price than the one THEY recommended to list the property under. So either they overpriced the property or they didn't deliver! Either way I found their service very unprofessional and very very disappointing.

Deceptive advertising and shortsighted customer care

I went into the Westport branch of the franchise to enquire about the cost of a valuation, I was told there would be no charge ( to quote their website ' Thinking of selling your property? This is a free service and there is no obligation to engage our services, so if you need a valuation for selling your property we're ready to help. ).Nobody showed up for the first appointment, I had to chase confirmation of the second subsequent to which I received an email informing me there was a charge of €200 plus vat for the valuation as I had mentioned during the viewing I was considered marketing the property myself.

Instructed Sherry Fitz to sell my home this year - just after the post-Christmas lock-down.The environment was uncertain and stressful. Their quiet competence and confidence was just great. We worked out the pre-sale spending budget, and they were active with meeting my requirements. The standout for me was when there was a bump in the sale path, they were proactive and honest. They also behaved very ethically when dealing with the bidders which I found comforting. Overall, I can't imagine talking to a different agent when selling again. I dealt with Barry Ensor and Andrea Whelan in Rathmines office.

Really hate using Sherry Fitzgerald,In the process of buying property. I was interested in a property in Maynooth. I was obliged to register with their on line bidding system so as to give my offer. I was immediately out bid by 1st time buyer who would never get loan approval on this property as there were substantial alterations needed. If you want an auction try bidx at least you know everyone is playing the same game. So, if your selling with Sherry Fitz I wont be bidding unless its an absolute bargain pitched way below market value.

Totally Disgraceful

Totally Disgraceful. We heard that Sherry FitzGerald was a professional company, but how far from the truth was this. We sold our residential property with them. They found a buyer, but at this point everything went so wrong. A member of staff gave the potential buyer the key and let them enter the property unsupervised. We were unaware of this until we got a call from a neighbour stating the potential buyer had moved a static caravan into the rear garden by craning it over the roof. At this point the potential buyer had no insurance in place, they damaged the interior of the house and they were planning on living in the static caravan rent free before the contract was exchanged. The staff at Sherry FitzGerald did nit check the property to ensure this did not happen. You can imagine the extra stress this put on the seller as the interior of the property had been destroyed and there was a static caravan in the rear garden. If the sale had fallen through, I would have been in a world of pain as it would be up to me to put the house back to being sellable again. The directors of Sherry FitzGerald were concerned, not for the customer, but their business. We had nearly two weeks of stress and getting extra engineer reports completed. I would not recommend their services.

Buying a house is the biggest investment most people ever make. I bought a house in D16 from Sherry FitzGerald New Homes pre-COVID in 2019 and never once had a face to face with a Sherry Fitz employee. Remarkable! On the day of handover, they had a builder from the site meet us at the house with the key. He handed the key over and walked away. I never heard from anyone again to check in on us. We've had a bunch of issues since with the house and estate and nobody wants to know. I thought it was just us, but all the neighbours are in the same boat. Get the money as quick as you can and then move onto the next deal! When I bought off Quillsen in the past, the agent met us at the house to handover the keys with a bottle of bubbly and a congratulations card. They then walked us around the house to make sure we knew how everything worked. They then followed up a few months later to see how everything was going with the new house. That is proper customer service. I wouldn't buy a house marketed by Sherry Fitz every again. My recommendation to Sherry Fitz is to take a good look at their customer experience.

We are so grateful to Julian, Michelle and the team in the Castleknock office for the highly professional, efficient and supportive service they provided for our elderly mother in the recent sale of the family home of 58 years. The house went on the market shortly before the lockdown and despite this we managed to complete the sale on 26th June. We were kept informed every step of the way and they were accessible and responsive if we had any questions. They always had our mothers safety and wellbeing as a priority. Couldn't have done more

Worked with Sam at the IFSC branch. Very knowledgeable about our development, professional, courteous and pleasant throughout. Both Chris and Sam struck us as less hard sell and more 'tell us how it is'. They knew the market extremely well and even though COVID-19 intervened, they still got a great buyer and a great price with the deal completed in a very timely manner. Ed Reilly came to value our home in anticipation of us going to market. After our first meeting with Ed it was clear he had a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the current market so we did not hesitate to appoint him which transpired to be a great decision. Not all sales go smoothly , however with a calm and problem solving approach the sale was completed. we used SF to sell our house unfortunately the agent told me he couldn't tell us who was coming to view the house because of DATA protection this is not the case with other estate agents and I was also told that no bookings would be allowed unless the person viewing the property had funds approved or financially able to purchase the house this was one of the conditions I had requested due to the fact that I'd have to leave my house everytime someone viewed it which wasnt an issue really but I would rather someone coming in that had funds rather than a person who didn't as it's only wasting time for me and my family aswell as the agents I found that once I signed a contract things had changed only for those reasons I wouldn't recommend but had never any issues in the past

Very annoyed with sherry fitzgerald tallaght. Mislead about a few things during the already stressful process of buying apartment. I was told on a couple of occasions that furniture was included so I gave all my furniture to charity shop, only to find a completely empty apartment to move into. Have to now spend money I don't have to buy a whole new set of furniture on Christmas week. Very unprofessional people.
