Recently sold our house with Cheshire Lamont and the experience wasn’t great. We had an initial meeting with Bill which was fine and the valuation etc seemed reasonable. After agreeing to go with them someone came round to do the photos. The photos were ok, however when Cheshire Lamont uploaded the listing on rightmove they used every single photo that was taken in most cases 5 or 6 photos of each room with numerous duplicates, making the list look unprofessional and chaotic at best. We then had to sit down with them and remove a huge number of duplicated photos and reorganise the listing ourselves. Unfortunately it went down hill from there, we never heard from Bill again after one more meeting despite the fact he was our original contact. It then turns out the people opposite us had put their house on the market for 50k more than ours with Lamont, which seemed reasonable as it is slightly bigger. After finding a suitable buyer for our place we were then very surprised to learn that the price of the house opposite had been dropped by 50k and all of a sudden our buyer went next door. The surprise became lessened when we found out Bill was good friends with said neighbour, this left us with the only option but to drop our price by 50k. When we eventually found a buyer we only had occasional contact with Elaine in the office who was very helpful and organised viewings. Once we had agreed a sale we heard almost nothing from them until the day of completion when Bill phoned my wife to thank her for the colossal amount of money we’d just paid them for doing what I can see as very little. Compare this to the excellent service we have received from the estate agents we are buying from and the difference is night and day, personally I would not recommend.

We have recently relocated from Hampshire and have settled on Nantwich. Bill and the team at Cheshire Lamont located in the town were representing the vendors and during the buying process, we worked closely them and found them to be very friendly and efficient. Our own solicitor was less than efficient, but thankfully the Cheshire Lamont team were very patient in what became at times a very stressful period. I cannot recommend at Cheshire Lamont enough; the whole team was friendly and eve n when things were being dragged out by our own conveyancing solicitors, they were very understanding and although keen to keep things moving, they were never pushy or made us feel uncomfortable. To summarise: very profficient, friendly, knowledgeable and community spirited - highly recommended.

Recently sold a house with Cheshire Lamont, I found them to be excellent they kept me updated as often as they could and I found every time we had a viewing they gave me a run down of each potential buyers views I couldn’t ask more. Originally bill came out to view the house and priced it perfectly and explained what needed doing to give it the best chance of selling. As for his team in the office they all were excellent and made me feel less anxious as selling a house is quite a stressful time. I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all and for all the hard work you did regards Mr Bolide.

We bought a property through Cheshire Lamont at the end of last year and found the team at the Nantwich office very professional. Another sale we had had agreed through Cheshire Lamont had fallen through (not their fault) and Bill in particular was excellent with us on both occasions. We were not their clients yet they treated us with respect throughout - a refreshing change from other agents we had encountered. David accommodated a second viewing swiftly for us when no one else was available and we otherwise wouldn't have been able to make it happen. They made the process smooth and were very supportive on completion day when I was an emotional mess! Happy buyers, highly recommend.

Great job from Bill and the team at Cheshire Lamont. Initially the property was assessed, and a favourable and confident valuation was given. This was followed up by a professional property review and together with high quality photography the property was beautifully presented to the market. The property was viewed almost immediately, and an offer was made and accepted above the advertised price within 24hrs. From there although there were some issues with the chain during the sale the help and support from the team was exceptional. Our house move was handled by Nantwich branch. Viv was our main contact and she was a trooper. Our sale and purchase - (we also bought our new house via them) was a bumpy ride to say the least. Outside factors caused our journey to be a difficult and lengthy one. We sincerely believe that we wouldn’t have got through it had we been with another agent. The advice given was always solid. Viv was an absolute lifesaver on many occasions. Genuinely caring about our plight and providing professional , friendly, advice and encouragement. Viv went through as much as we did and without writing a essay it would be difficult for a reader to understand quite what a time of it we had. We got through this because Cheshire Lamont helped us through and supported us even when it could’ve been in their professional interest to do otherwise. I think we may have given up had we not had Viv, Elaine and Jen and Bill on our team. These guys REALLY know their stuff. Hi, the office staff are nice, they listened and responded. However, let down by communication. 1 - Had a view arranged by them. We showed the client round, asked CL for feedback, they said they had no knowledge of viewing and didn't get back to me after saying they would. The manager never returned my calls, hence, the owner came round to evaluate and apologised for lack of communication, then never got back to me regarding value or opinion on the current marketing as promised, i even called the office for his thoughts. Having sold a number of properties over the years I was always of the opinion that the Estate agent made no difference, that the house sold itself. However, my experience with Bill and the staff at Cheshire Lamont in Nantwich has changed my opinion. From my first meeting with Bill, which was a couple of years before we put the house on the market, I received sound advice from someone with an excellent understanding of the local market as opposed to the over the top ‘wow, this is amazing’ flattery, on entering every room, of some estate agents. Bill visited us three times in two years before we decided to sell and was extremely professional on every occasion. It’s wasn’t the easiest of sales, in my experience, we lost our first buyers after a few months of jumping through hoops but quickly found another buyer when the property was re-marketed. All the way through the process we were kept up to date by the office staff in Nantwich with regular feed back on viewings and then with progress updates when the sale was going through. We eventually achieved more than the asking price so we’re extremely happy. Needless to say, I thoroughly recommend Cheshire Lamont in Nantwich.
