This sale was beset by cock-ups on the part of solicitors and the buyer's mortgage provider. As far as I could tell, the only party to the transaction that didn't mess up was Dawsons, the Estate Agents who went to great lengths to ensure that the sale was eventually a success. Tracy Sturgess gave 100% to us in getting things sorted. Tenacious! She would keep us informed by phone, email, text within and without "office hours." She was always contactable and I had total confidence in her, Andrea Devoy was helpful in getting good photos done in the early stages and being very speedy in getting things underway and I noticed that Caroline Mountfield in the office was always very efficient and polite.

A Good Smooth Sale!

When we decided to put our property on the market we contacted several estate agents for valuations. Although one on-line estate agent had lower fees, we decided to sign up with Dawson's after Andrea Devoy visited the property and gave us a realistic asking price. She was very pleasant and also professional in her dealings with us and arranged for Natasha to visit the next day in order to take photographs. These went on-line within a day and we were very pleased with the results. Within a week Andrea rang us to tell us that an offer had been made on the property which was not far off the asking price, which we duly accepted. The process has been very smooth and we have been kept informed at all times. We would definitely recommend Dawson's and would also like to thank Andrea and Natasha for their professionalism throughout.

Selling House

Andrea came to valuate our property on Saturday 08.07.17, giving my husband & I an idea of if we would be in a position to sell. Andrea said she had a buyer in mind & would contact them to see if they would like to view the property. On Monday 10.07.17, we agreed a 72 hour contract, allowing the buyer to view the property & a viewing was booked for Wednesday 12.07.17 at 10.45am. James accompanied the buyer at 10.40am & by 12.15pm on the same day, James was calling us with an offer. By the end of business on Wednesday 12.07.17, we had accepted an offer. My husband & I cannot express how much we appreciated Andrea's time on the Saturday & how honest she was with us. She made things clear & concise. We are extremely pleased that Andrea's gut instinct was right & the buyer she had in mind placed an offer as expected & we have accepted it. On the day of the viewing, James was very polite to myself & the buyer. He escorted the buyer around the property, answering any questions the buyer had. At the end of the viewing James fed back to me the buyers thoughts & said he would be in touch. When James called an hour & 30 minutes later, he was extremely pleased to advise of the buyers offer. We negotiated throughout the day & by close of business (on the same day) we had come to an agreed price & term. From start to finish, Andrea & James were nothing but polite & helpful. My husband & I would recommend this team to friends, family & colleagues. Thank you very much Andrea, James & Dawsons.

Highly Professional

Good, professional service

We found the staff at the Dawson's Morriston branch to be very professional, helpful and polite. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we feel they worked hard on our behalf to sell our house. The valuation was very fair and we were impressed by our property advert on the website. The staff in the office were always very obliging and on the rare occasion we were unable to get through by phone, it was due to a high number of calls. If we left a message, Dawsons staff would always respond promptly. We received a good professional service from all the staff in the Morriston branch whom dealt with selling our property & answered our queries, in particular we are very grateful to Associate Tracy Sturgess, Office Manager Andrea Devoy who always passed on our messages, Caroline Mountfield and all the other negotiator/sales assistant staff who were all very friendly and helpful. (Natasha, Rochelle). The only negative comment we feel we can add is that we would like potential buyers to be vetted a bit more carefully before offers are submitted, as our first buyer unfortunately dropped out, causing delays to ourselves and to the vendors of the property we are buying. We were both very impressed by the Dawson's website and feel that the addition of floor plans would help prospective buyers. We note that Dawson's staff across the region are actively involved in a lot of fundraising activities which is really good to see & it would be nice to see other Estate Agents following this example. Overall we were impressed by the service offered by the Dawson's Morriston team and we would definitely recommend them to friends, family and colleagues (as I have done so already.)

Sale of property at difficult time

After many years in the rental market we decided to sell up and pull out. The property was put on the market by Dawsons Sales at the Morriston branch. Unfortunately the owner of the property passed away in early January which meant that the sale was hindered by probate and officialdom. The staff at the Morriston branch were able to keep the ball rolling for me during this very sad period and the sale has been completed with minimum of fuss and very little involvement required by me. All the staff especially Tracy at Dawsons are worth their weight in gold...

Professional, no fuss, sale of property
