The team at Rook Matthew Sayers Ponteland office did NOT disappoint. From the valuation visit, throughout the sale process & up until completion we felt their advice, market knowledge & professionalism was everything we wanted from a team trusted to sell our property. They understood our house wasn’t just a ‘house’ but our home and this home needed to be sold as such. From the initial photography, online marketing, accompanied viewing and high levels of communication throughout the process we couldn’t have been more satisfied. Well done the Ponteland RMS team. Have had a very disappointing experience with the Morpeth branch. Attempted to purchase a property which had a covenant in place. The covenant was not as advertised, the staff telephoned me with information that turned out to be incorrect. At one point they passed the blame to their client, however they are the agent acting on their behalf so surely it should be up to them to make sure all details are correct? As there were covenants in place, both mine and the vendors solicitors were corresponding with each other but Rook Mathew Sayer, seems to interfere a lot. For example telephoning me to tell me the covenant had been lifted when in fact it had not. But this was something my solicitor told me CORRECTLY, after speaking with the vendor’s solicitors. I have been left out of pocket due to the misinformation, and at times, unprofessional service I received from Rook Matthews Sayer. I’mCurrently seeking further advice about costs incurred. As I’ve said I feel very let down by them and would advise against using their services.

Dear Alan, We’re very disappointed to receive your 1* star review and have investigated this with the branch staff further. We have been informed that upon your initial viewing with the manager the covenant was explained to you, additionally it was also advertised correctly in all of our marketing materials. We also checked this with the Business Support team who have also confirmed that it is displayed in all materials correctly.It may be that you have interpreted the covenant incorrectly and we are sorry if this is the case but we have followed all procedures of advertising it and explaining it correctly.Furthermore, you stated that Rook Matthews Sayer telephoned you to say the covenant had been lifted, our Morpeth team called to explain that our client had amended the details of the covenant in order to help yourself and future parties attain a mortgage on a previously ‘unmortgageable’ property. Once again apologies if this was misinterpreted after this was explained to you. The Morpeth team did try to contact you regularly via email and phone for your final decision and our client extended the deadline due to your unresponsiveness. However, ultimately they retracted from the sale as they were unable to contact you. We are sorry that you are feeling let down however, we feel we did everything we could to try and secure the property for you. GoogleI have had very bad experiences in the past with other estate agents. RMS has undertaken both letting and a sale for my property. Both have run smoothly, with very good communications and regular updates.

GoogleI changed estate agents from another in Morpeth due to only 1 viewing in 6 months and no contact from them with updates. I went into Rook Matthew's and had a great feeling about them from the start. They gave a great deal of invaluable advice and help for putting it on the market. We had viewings within the first week. Then an offer on the property within 6 weeks or so. I am 200 miles away from the property near Morpeth and I can honestly say this was of no concern at all. I was kept informed all the way , with the sales progressors contacting the buyers, the buyers solicitors, me and my solicitors to keep everything running smoothly. They were excellent, professional, courteous, thoughtful and very knowledgeable about their profession.
