Manning Stainton were great throughout my move. Charlotte my move manager kept me updated regularly and helped out when things got tricky with my buyer’s solicitor. She was really supportive and I valued her a lot!Only thing I would knock a star off for was a member of staff I dealt with before Charlotte, who left my front door open and didn’t let me know. This same person wasn’t particularly helpful on the phone either. Overall though, would recommend and I felt looked after along a bumpy process!

Renting a property via Manning Stainton is a generally painful experience which requires constant ongoing monitoring and intervention by the landlord. They represent poor value for money, do not follow instructions or act in the landlords best interest.My interactions have generally been unprofessional and required multiple follow ups to get even the most basic maintenance undertaken. They admit their 'approved contractors' are overcharging but their only suggestion is to organise somebody independent despite paying them monthly to manage the property. Accounts team are equally unprofessional with underpaying rent, increasing fees, requesting money to be left on account and then randomly returning it. Tendency to hide behind "do not reply" or generic email addresses. No consistent relationship manager and when you want anything from them (such as a simple annual statement of account) it is chargeable.Would avoid at all costs.

I had a good experience with Manning Stainton when purchasing a flat recently. The sale took a while to complete but Manning Stainton let me visit the flat a couple of times after my offer was accepted, to measure up and check things out. This was very helpful, as I could work out where all the furniture was going to go before the moving date. They also had a little goody bag waiting for me when I picked up the keys which made the move day even more exciting. I would use Manning Stainton again and recommend them to others when purchasing a property (posted on behalf of Miss M Wood)
