Began sale of my house end of June. Still hasnt gone through. Buyer awaiting third mortgage application mid October. This wasn’t the person Mannings Wetherby told me was the true buyer. No response to complaint at Head Office. Now lost the property I was buying. So another couple totally let down. Update: reply from Mannings received on Trust Pilot - telling me to contact Clair Frieze. I did. Two weeks ago. No reply.

We can assure you that every buyer we agree a sale to has the full due dilligence conducted on them but sadly there are occassions where a buyers position changes through the course of sale or there can be issues with their mortgage once it passes through the lenders internal processes. We didn't hear anything for weeks after agreeing the sale of our home. When calling, we would be told our agent wasn't available and we would get a call back but the call never came. Our solicitor also struggled with the agents lack of communication.

The Pudsey MS branch is very polite and responsive. They always ring back when they say they will, and/or follow up with an email. Staff are friendly at the office, but the viewing agents are not always given sufficient information to answer questions about the property, which can be inconvenient and requires additional calls back and forth. It would be more convenient if viewing agents were given information packs with basic info (e.g. age of boiler, windows, vendor's situation).
