GoogleWe bought a property that was listed by Toomey and can honestly say Frank was amazing from start to finish. We were selling our property which was very drawn out and at times very frustrating dealing with not the greatest solicitors. Frank went above and beyond to offer help/advice and was always just a call away, he was ten times better than our own estate agents. Can't thank him enough for everything!

GoogleAs a tenant whose home is managed by Toomey Estate agent, I must say the customer services has been substandard. The receptionist/Admin person Kim was extremely unprofessional on the phone. I'd been quite unwell when she had been trying to make contact, which when we did speak thought it was ok to try to undermine my illness and make demands about coming into my home. In another event today Toomey Estate Agent's sales person Frank, thought it was acceptable to enter my home without my permission to carry out a valuation. Their emails were not received by myself and I had no knowledge that they would be entering my home unannounced. I have a teenage daughter who is sometimes at home, Frank does not have a DBS and he did not have explicit consent to enter my home. "By law, your landlord is not allowed to enter the property without permission in the UK." This is totally unacceptable and I will be taking the matter further.
Dear Carmelle, Thank you for taking the time in writing a review. Its disappointing that it’s negative as we strive to provide a good service to all customers and clients. I have reviewed the situation and can see that my colleague had previous e-mail correspondence back and forth with yourself and continued using the same e-mail address . You requested on the phone to confirm an appointment regarding access to your property to be e-mailed which we did, however you did not reply. We e-mailed you again requesting access and was followed by numerous phone calls that you did not answer as you said you didn't recognise the number so chose not to answer the calls. A further e-mail was sent on the Friday saying that we require access for the next Wednesday and if it wasn't convenient to reply or we would enter with the management keys. When you did not reply my colleague Frank attended the property and knocked a number of times, there was no answer so entered the property. He called out and was answered by your mother whom he explained who he was and from where. He completed the inspection in less than 5 minutes and left. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused as this was certainly not intended. Regards, Paul Farren (Director)

GoogleAre you looking for the Estate Agents who will make you cry and their solicitors literally stole your money? (Evidence Available) Then look no further. Frank is lovely chap but he is on payroll of the solicitors (Evidence Available) who he recommends and they literally stole your money. I am currently taking legal action against the solicitors to recover my money. (Evidence Available) On the other hand I found Kim very abrupt (brief to the point of rudeness) I asked for her not to deal with me, this was ignored which led to further misunderstandings and yes even tears. What can you do when your estate agent to whom you are paying over £3000 tells you that she will sit back, do nothing and let the deal fell through? The whole sell took around 6 months mostly because planned works on the estate which I warned the estate agent from day one as well as I told them about the need for 1 month gap between exchange and completion due to moving abroad. At the end I was forced to exchange and complete on the same day and rent my own flat back (Evidence Available) for 1 months for (at least) below the commercial rate. I complained, no reply was given to me for over 1 month, only on my further request the reply was given along the lines: we were busy, we worked hard for you...etc. No discount, no refund (very least for the solicitors who pay them and stole my money) not even simple apology (very least for making me cry). Flat sold? Yes. Did I get all my money? Not as of yet. Happy? Have a guess.
Dear Peto, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's somewhat disappointing that after our numerous e-mails back and forth, our explanations did not answer your questions. In reply to your post, I'm pleased that you had a good relationship and found Frank a lovely guy however you are incorrect saying Frank is on the payroll of the solicitors, what I believe you are referring to is an introduction fee they pay for a referral for their service. This was not paid to Frank directly and is only paid on the completion of a sale to Toomey Estate Agents. We are the prominent Independent estate agents for selling properties where your flat was located within 2021/22 and therefore well versed with the difficulties faced from the freeholder/managing agents. What you fail to mention in your review was the fact that your previous solicitors registered the title of your property incorrectly when you originally brought the flat. This resulted in having to wait a considerable amount of time for the land registry to amend the title before you could complete the transaction. We are sorry that the sale was not as smooth as we all hoped for, however factors outside of your and our control added to the timelines and therefore the stress entailed. In our opinion the staff involved on your sale worked tirelessly in an effort to sell your property, with constant communication and dedication until such point when the sale finally completed. GoogleToomey provides oustanding service to buy/sell your home. I had a long journey to sell our property, but was kept informed and helped all the way. Frank is an exceptional agent, and thank him and all the team for their continued support. I would highly recommend Toomey to anyone who wants a personalised, competetent Estate Agent, without all the hastle of chasing for answers.

GoogleI've worked with Kim at Toomey's for nigh on 20 years and she has always been excellent to deal with. Down to earth and willing to help a tenancy run smoothly even when not contractually obliged. By far the best agent I have worked with (and I've had a few). Not only has she helped manage my property for 20 years she also aided in its sale. I'll be sad to not be working with her anymore and best of luck for the future.

Toomey was the agent I called first as I knew the family from when I was younger. As Frank stepped into the property I instantly knew that it would be Toomey that we would use. He seemed to care about the people, our sadness and not just about selling the house. Because of lockdown it was almost 2 years later that we managed to put the house up on the market Myself and my sister met with Frank to sign the paperwork. As this was all new to us he explained in depth so we understood everything. Even through our tears and upset he understood and chatted to us like we were friends. There was no rushing or pressure for us to sign. Then came the dreaded paperwork and rather than bother the solicitor I turned to Frank who happily helped always quick to answer emails or return my calls When it came to the time to exchange contracts I received a call from Kim, again through my tears she was very helpful and understanding and let me blubber down the phone and with a lovely caring tone and a sorry for my loss she made me feel better. I can say that having to sell my late mums property after the shock of losing her was definitely made easier by using Toomey of Mitcham. I highly recommend 5 ***** To Frank and Kim

GoogleWe sold our first property with toomeys and from the very beginning the staff were very friendly and approachable. We were told from the start they will be there to help us every step of the way and they really was. We started our sale with Frank and once we had our offer Kim took over and they was both amazing. We had a few difficulties along the way but Kim was always there any time even after hours to solve any problems and help us. She was an amazing person to work with in a situation that was new to us. Even after all sales were completed Kim has still emailed to check in on us and see how we are getting on. I would definatly recommend Toomeys for any house needs.

The sale dragged on for 6 months due to my slow solicitor but Frank stayed in touch and kept me updated and tried to help the process along as much as possible. Thank you Frank!

GooglePaul at Toomey's was excellent from start to finish. Due to COVID-19 we unfortunately never had the chance to meet in person, but his video walk-through of our new home was great, and helped us make the ultimate decision to buy our first home (in which we are very happy!) Like any house move, there were a number of issues and barriers that arose, but Paul was always there to help us through it - going above and way beyond the call of duty; multiple times. He even arranged a bottle of champagne for us from the developers of our new home - couldn't have asked for more!PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleMy first experience of Toomey’s was when they did a probate valuation in lockdown for me, despite the difficulties they managed to do this efficiently and quickly. When Probate was received my first port of call was to speak to them to give them the first opportunity for a sale, this is when my relationship with Kim developed. She and her team Frank who I actually met, have been excellent and dynamic in their approach to getting me a buyer. The first day of signing with them the property was sold, and using her recommendations has made a smooth progress to exchange and completing within 6 weeks. GoogleI called them regarding a property on my road a few doors down that was Too Let, I asked if they could tell me how much the rent on the property for my family and they wouldn't tell me the receptionist had to ask and was told we don't have that information and the property has gone even though the property after a week even now the board still states Too Let. Not very helpful.. I'm sorry to say the board even as of today still shows TO LET. I can even provide you evidence of this.

The board that you called in for was not a "To Let" board but a "Let and managed by" meaning that it had been let and was being managed by us. As the property was not showing as available on our system the receptionist was unaware that the board had been erected and was unable to assist you any further with this property. We pride ourselves on the service we provide to landlords and tenants and would be grateful if you could contact the office to make sure we have your contact details for future properties when they become available. GoogleI used Toomey Estate agents to purchase my first flat and I cannot fault them. Paul and his team were brilliant and patient - kept me updated at all times, 5 star service. It was a new build that was really delayed (not due to them!) and they went above and beyond to keep me updated, give me access to the property and made sure that I could complete as soon as possible. Being a first time buyer there were things that I needed advice and info on and they were always happy to help, take my call and arrange visits. They offer a first class personalised service, thank you Paul, Frank and the team.

GoogleFaultless service from start to finish. From Franks initial valuation, right through to exchange and completion. I also dealt with Kim in the office. Both were very professional and knowledgeable about the property and local market. As an agent myself for a number of years, you could say I expect a certain level of service. I was kept updated with feedback from all the viewings, and when a buyer was found, they negotiated the right price, and pushed through the conveyancing. I would not hesitate to recommend them over any other agent in this area. Thanks again guys!
