I contacted William H Brown as soon as a specific property went on the market. There was no answer, so I left a voicemail. No one returned my call. I tried again two days later, and left a message with someone in sales. Still nothing. I followed up with an email and even requested contact through Rightmove… again, completely ignored. After multiple failed attempts across a week, we decided to visit the branch in person. When we arrived, the sales team were sat chatting amongst themselves. In the letting office one staff member was on the phone. After around 10 minutes, the lady ended the call and acknowledged us. She laughed when we asked about viewing a specific property, saying she had just accepted an offer over the phone. To make matters worse, she then told us that because we are not military, estate agents don’t tend to prioritise enquiries like mine. However they never asked the question and only assumed this. The lady apologised insincerely and took our details, stating she would reach out with similar properties. No one reached out to us. We were going to put our house on the market with the agency we rented through. We decided to go elsewhere. Completely unprofessional, really disappointed in the service. If I could give zero stars, I would.

My husband and I just moved to Mildenhall from the US and had the pleasure of having Amy as our letting agent. I instructed WHB Mildenhall to market my property for 15 weeks. During that time I had very few viewings and received no offers. The main feedback we were given was to reduce the asking price, which became a repeated recommendation throughout the listing period. After three and a half months with no success, I decided to switch to a local independent estate agent. Their commission was significantly lower, and the experience was completely different from the outset. The property sold within four days of going live and achieved full asking price. Notably, this was the same price WHB had been marketing the property at for five weeks. Based on my experience, the difference in approach, urgency and results was clear. While I appreciated WHB’s time, the outcome simply did not meet my expectations.

We personally dealt with Amy Beaton, who we HIGHLY recommend. But while we ultimately found our future home through another agency, she was amazing at walking us through the process, keeping us informed on potential timelines, recommending properties that could suit our needs, and was just overall an awesome person to work with. I'm sad we weren't able to get her the credit she deserved with a successful let contract, but she was still great and I was so appreciative. If you're American mil looking to let, William H Brown agents really pull it out to get you into a rental that suits your family. We felt supported by this business, and as you know from PCSing, sometimes it feels like international agents are just completing performative dance to insert your bodies in a space they want you to be. This experience was NOT that. Great experience. Fast email response time for all the different properties we looked at online. We talked to three separate agents from William H. during our home search, and all three humans were incredibly kind.

Poor tenant experience with property management and landlord. If renting from them do not allow virtual inspections. Ensure all scuffs, dings and even cleanliness is annotated on check in inventory. Always formally document everything including conversations. Property manager defers to landlord, landlord will quote an unreasonable amount for fix and will hold your deposit to recover costs.
