Putting a door handle as a 2 on the home report seemed a bit over the top (the handle and lock works effectively). The small.flat roof being marked as a 2 as there was a small water pooling? No evidence of leaks inside property and roof was redone 4 years ago and is solid, Also downpour of rain earlier in the day. Also saying that my heating being an electric wet system with solar panels and feed in tariff is not economically good, I can't understand as I pay around £40 week when the heating is on, for all our power. (You can't get a feed in tariff anymore, so thought that would increase the cost effectively)

This company was tasked with estimating the depreciation in value of my property as a result of flooding.After taking months , they finally ruled there was no difference in value of property with or without a flooding issue. However, I have just been informed by a fellow RICS surveyor that there assessment was totally flawed. Without seeking expert advice from a flood risk engineer to calculate how much it would cost to prevent my property from flooding ( which they did not obtain) it would be impossible for them to asses valuation. This is total incompetence and has caused my wife and I great upset.Update. Two weeks since I submitted my revue, DM Hall have made no attempt to apologise for their incompetence-no explanation-nothing. I now know why . RICS the body that regulates this,and most surveyors has decided that they were not guilty of gross incompetence and are taking no action to rectify my situation. If they can get away with this level of incompetence without punishment there is no safety for the homebuyer!!!

Very happy with the service. I live in a fairly remote area with nearest surveyor a 2hr drive so I was not realistically expecting a survey within 24 hours. Communication was excellent with a date for survey notification and thereafter a thorough and detailed survey & validation. All in all, an excellent & professional service.

Too expensive for a small one bedroom modem flat. Surveyor was in property and surrounding garden for 30mins. Generally found difficult to get thru to the Falkirk office to speak to someone.

This was our third house valuation by DM Hall and once again they came up with a figure that matched our own. As a recently retired Council Tax surveying technician I had a good idea of the market/mortgage valuation of our property and they matched our figure to the penny. The surveyor arrived on the appointed time and date and was very professional in his survey. One wee glitch was being invoiced twice for the survey despite this having been paid via our solicitors but this was efficiently dealt with by Deborah in their Oban office.
