I have used Henstock Property Services to buy and sell property in the last few years. They have always been very attentive, made time to listen to my requirements and ensured that they properly matched properties to me - never showed me anything that clearly wouldn’t have been of interest and vice versa when I sold my house they brought people to view who would clearly be interested in buying - the property suited their needs to a tee. The communication is great and all staff are helpful, friendly, knowledgable and above all HONEST. They go above and beyond the normal service, nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks to John and Phil. Would highly recommend Henstocks to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

I first started my property selling journey some 9 months ago. Like many, I was of the opinion that high street agents were over priced and didn’t do much for their money - so I went down the alternative route of using an online agent. I accepted an offer on the property within a few weeks, great - until 6 months down the line.. The buyer kept delaying, blaming various things and my estate agents wasn’t responding to emails or phone calls. The sale fell through 2 days before completion as the buyer wasn’t in a position to complete and my estate agent had gone into administration. No sale and £800 down... The next day I phoned Henstock Property Services and I couldn’t be happier with the service they have provided me. They found a buyer within 2 months and arranged all the viewings and correspondence with solicitors. They helped push the sale though in just 8 weeks! Jane has been an absolute rock to me and has gone above and beyond to help sell the property as quickly as possible. The location of the branch is so easy and convienient to access and they are very quick to respond to all enquiries, by phone and email. To anyone thinking of saving some money using alternative methods - don’t! The most helpful, friendly and knowledgable support you will get is from a local agent. Worth every penny! Highly recommend this estate agents and especially to Jonathan was pro-active in pushing both solicitors through and we spoke almost weekly for updates. Henstocks went above the call of duty in not just introducing the buyer to the seller but being our link in communications. Without Jonathan's help, solicitors would have continued to drag their heels for even longer. Fantastic service. From our very first telephone conversation to the day the sale was closed. Extremely professional. Every detail was explained thoroughly and we never had to wait more than a couple of hours for our phone call/email to be returned. We began our journey with Henstock from emailing to organising a viewing. The email was quickly responded to and a viewing was organised without any hassle. The viewing was also worked around me and when I could make it (the other houses I went to view were given times and some I couldn’t make due to work ect..) So the experience was already so positive with Henstock! Andrew who helped organise the viewing and answered all my questions on emails has also been amazing! The wait time for a response is so little and every question was answered in a way a first time renter, like myself, could understand everything- thank you Andrew! When arriving at the viewing, we was greeted by Philip and he was welcoming and also very helpful to answer all questions about the house. He gave me lots of information about how to apply for the house and what the next steps would be if I was to be picked by the landlord, again, all the questions were answered in a way for me to understand due to me never renting before or viewing a property before. I received an email a few days later after applying asking for personal details for checks- I contacted Henstock and asked if this means we are confirmed to have the property and they were very open, honest and helpful explaining to me that until all checks are done nothing can be confirmed. I sent off all my checks and then had to send some documents off to Legal For Landlords and they were very helpful and quick with responding to all my questions too! During my time waiting for the checks to be completed, I contacted Andrew via emails and also the shop contact number with even more questions and any updates and these were always answered to the best of their knowledge. I really couldn’t fault Henstock. I had the confirmation email and asked when would I like the keys! A date was organised and again to work around myself! I was greeted again by Philip at the property and he went through all the terms and conditions and all paperwork throughly so I understand it all. He again answered all my questions and reassured if there was anything we needed, don’t hesitate to call or email! I wasn’t concerned or worried as Henstock had already met very high standards during the whole process. My overall experience with Henstock has been absolutely amazing as there isn’t anything I could fault them on. Helpful, kind and reassuring! Again a special thank you to Philip and Andrew!”

Today I completed the purchase of my first house. Henstock property services were the estate agents and were excellent to deal with from day 1. Janice picked up the phone when I first rang and we never looked back. The whole process took 4 and half months (no fault of the agents at all) and it would have probably taken long if it hadn't been for the help and great effort from the team at Henstock. I have to thank Andrew and James as well as Janice for getting the deal over the line. Superb to deal with. From the valuation of the property to the completion of the sale Phil and the team were exceptional . The advice offered was always of high quality this was matched by brilliant service . We bought a house from Henstocks and it was a great experience. We dealt personally with Jonathan pretty much from the start. He was very welcoming when we arrived to view the house giving us enough privacy to be able to look and discuss without being over our shoulder. But he also gave us lots of useful information as we were new to the area. Throughout the sale process our buyer caused issues and delays but Jonathan was great at helping the process along and dealing with whatever came our way. He helped ease our nerves and reassured us. Then on the day we went to collect the keys, we received a lovely little box of goodies for our first day in our new home. I really would recommend using Henstocks and if we were to move again in the future we'd use them for our sale.

I had the owner come to value a house we were flipping. He was rude, passive aggressive and obnoxious. His valuation / observation was: “Well it’s white and grey…isn’t it? You’ll be lucky to get £200k for this.” We got 2 more valuations which were considerably higher and ended up selling for £254k. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I could have lived with the incorrect valuation (by £54k!) on its own but his attitude was poor from the moment we opened the door to him.
