I did a medical administration course and passed. Don’t get me wrong I nearly quit as I found it difficult to do medical terminology. I had a bit of a breakdown but Hazia from the Cardiff branch was totally amazing with me. I completed the course and now I’ve a job within the NHS which I love. Phill and Mark were also a great team to encourage me on. I really can’t fault the Cardiff branch one bit. I added on to complete a medical secretary course which I am enjoying. I even had a well done card when I had my job!

Training aspect was fine. Trainers were quite supportive. But don't expect any proof you actually completed the course you chose. Be ready to pay high prices for a course with nothing to show for it. Over 3 months is an awful long time to receive a certificate. Who knows might receive it next year. 😒

I enrolled in the AQ2022 Diploma in Professional Accounting Level 4 program at The Career Academy. I have been studying for this program for about 2 years. After completing all the modules, my training provider, The Career Academy, asked me to contact Pitmans Training Venue for 3 of the 5 exams I needed to take. When I filtered for Remote Invigilation on the AAT website, the first one I saw was Pitman Training Venue Brighton, so I reached out to them. The person I contacted was Joy Renshaw, the Center Manager there. She sent me a form to schedule my exam dates. I filled out and submitted the forms for all three exams and asked if there was anything else I needed to do. She did not respond. The other day, I sent an email to The Career Academy, adding her to the CC. I asked whether the invoice for my exams had arrived. The lady replied to me. She wrote that since SOUTHAMPTON was written at the bottom of the forms, I should contact SOUTHAMPTON, as she was in BRIGHTON. I stated that I had talked to her from the very beginning and that she had sent these forms, and I also attached the email she had sent me. Of course, the lady did not reply again. I'll overlook the fact that she mistreated me in this matter because of her own mistake, but she sent me automated replies without even reading any of the emails I sent her. The worst part is that she doesn't even know about the email she sent! They are waiting for me to take an exam at a center where this person is the director. It's obvious how this exam will turn out. It's a complete shame. There is no listening or understanding whatsoever. Just forced answers. As a result, they shamelessly mark you as wrong.

I went with my wife for her Life in the UK test. We found the staff very unfriendly. I had to wait outside and when I went in to use the toilet, an obnoxious woman told me I shouldn't have used it as it wasn't a public convenience. There was no other option. Unbelievably rude.

The Life in the UK tests can be a little stressful for all parties as the conditions are strict and the staff have to manage compliance. This can mean that our staff do not seem as friendly as they ordinarily would be.

I have recently passed my Medical Admin Diploma, Nichola, David & Amanda at Pitman Swansea were amazing from the beginning . They were very helpful & supportive. They took their time to explain everything, I could do the course in the centre or from home or I could do both if I needed, so I could complete my course in around my job. if I had any queries outside office hours I could contact them even on a weekend, I could also make arrangements with them to go into the office on a Saturday to sit my exams. I would highly recommend Pitman Swansea from my experience.

The Adobe course was useless. Rubbish videos with boring content. The majority of the course was useless copyright nonsense. I needed online help with certain parts of InDesign. This was a disaster. No one had a clue how to help. A complete bunch of brainless people claiming to be experts. There are no teachers in the so called Training Centre. They sell you a rubbish course and are very happy to take your money. I will never study or recommend Pitman Training, especially the Pearce St branch in Dublin. I was fooled by their staff and their so called interest in helping me upgrade my qualifications. Do not give them your money. It is all they are interested in. When things went wrong they simply did not care.

Avoid this place! When I signed up I was told that , I will get support , oh yes of course, rubbish support! Would you chuck away your Ipad and MacBook Pro for a nearly 10 years old laptop??? Well, they did not tell me that their receptionist course program is not supported by iPad, by MacBook Pro anything that has to do with Safari and recent devices! Unacceptable..,, well you need to make it to work on an iPad or MacBook Pro, am not willing to throw it away , when I paid a lot of money for it! I will further complain about this issue and if nothing g can be done , will go somewhere else to complain, not fair and absolutely rubbish company! Student support is NON Existing! Stay away from this company!

Do not waste your money! I am months in and have had countless problems . I could not log in and found that Brighton is shut for 2 weeks . I struggled 2 weeks after that till the last emailed showed my DOB was wrong . HQ change my email causing 2 accounts and me having to resubmit by retyping my 1 st assessment on the other account. Now on my day off ready for 2nd assessment its locked . I cant do it and they shut Mondays. Text books have many mistakes and contradictory answers to online .

I did Typaz basic to correct my bad habits. The course was very basic and the range of exercises surprisingly limited. Course was completed within 2 weeks and minimal efforts but it only offered very small range of practice text. I’ve ended up achieving a good result but only because I bought another online course which was 5% of the price and offered me a lot more exercises. Staff was pleasant and I’m glad I’ve managed to complete the course but I will not be investing in further courses. Maybe good for those looking for secretarial qualifications but in hindsight it wasn’t a good value for money for me.

Enrolling to Pitman Training Reading was my worst decision. I could have paid a lot less at my local training centre. I paid £2,030 for a course. The course is distance learning. Before I made the payment I was welcomed and provided with support by Andre. However after I made my payment it stopped. I was not able to start my course right away so I phoned Andre to ask for my start date to be pushed forward to May. When I started in May I was experiencing technical issues as Pitman's system was not compatible with Mac. I was given contact details to their IT department. I contacted them but had no respond. In June I was told that I should wait until end of July for their new online learning platform switch. When I contacted Pitman in July I was told that I will not be able to continue the subject I was waiting to complete because it has expired. Pay attention to the word 'expired'. They use this a lot at Pitman to try and have you pay more money to extend your course. I refused to pay and decided to move on to the second subject of the course. I called on several occasions for support on the subject matter however I was told to visit the centre. I live an hour away from the centre so this was not an option. I was told that I can study distance learning at my own pace when I was enrolling to which made my decision easier to enrol. I was also told that I have 3 months to complete each subject to which I had 4 to complete. As Pitman had technical issues with their old website and I had to wait for the switch to happen in July thus my start date is July. I contacted Andre last week to continue my studies on the phone and he said okay just to wait until the centre reopens after the pandemic. But received an email from Andre the following morning saying that my course has expired. Even when I told them that I was affected by the current situation they told me that I will have to pay £504 to continue. Also even though I had 2 subjects left that I paid for, for £1100 I was told that I will not be allowed to continue the course unless I pay the same amount. Anyone planing on study with Pitman be very aware of their tactics as they only care about charging more money than providing you with the training that you have paid for. There is a lot more to this story that have not included. All I can say to anyone planing on studying with Pitman Reading is to avoid avoid avoid as they are very unreasonable and difficult to deal with. It's never their fault even when it is. All they care about is selling an extension to you. I have planned to take legal action against Pitman Reading.Ibrahim

We were also available to offer you the remote support that you required. You went over the agreed contracted time with us and we still looked to enable you to complete your training with us, despite us having no legal obligation to do so. We incur costs to train you and asked for a nominal sum to help to cover the additional costs in extending your training with us.Once again, we are sorry that you feel dissatisfied, but am saddened that your review is not factual. The Socrates software course with Pitman training in Lisbaun indust estate Galway was the best thing I ever did. Brilliant course which opened great opportunities for me. I went on to work as a medical secretary in a doctors practice and after one and half years doing this I now work as a clerical officer within the HSE. Would definitely recommend. And it's not expensive for the opportunities you get out of it.
