GoogleIt is an agency that does not value tenants. They only want money and that's it, they put up false ads, when you get there the house is in bad condition. No one comes to fix anything in the house. Don't bother. They only care about the owner not the tenant. Be careful what you get into. They will never help you get your deposit, they talk badly after they make you a contract.
We do not have any tenants that go by the name of Josh Brown; so can only assume this is a fake review or about another horizon estate agency? If you feel the review is correct please reach out to the directors who will carry out a full investigation

FacebookI used this company to sell my home as they are a local business . My house move was not straight forward but I could always speak to a member of the staff and they worked tirelessly to help push forward the move. Chloe and Charlotte were extremely helpful and empathetic and I would recommend this company.

Facebookwould 💯% reccomend horizon for there service in selling our property. From start to finish especially Chloe and Charlotte got me through a stressful time and any questions or queries were answered straight away. I can't thank those two enough. GoogleFrom the start of the sales process, where the agent didn’t turn up for the appointment this company was disappointing. Didn’t return calls .. didn’t keep us updated. (The office was being renovated, waiting for new staff.. staff on holiday…just popped out … will call you later .. etc etc ) it’s the dog ate my homework company. BUT they did manage to find a buyer which our brilliant solicitor kept us informed and updated on. The day the sale went though Horizon suddenly managed to call us 3 times in one day!!! Awful company.. very very disappointing ..if your selling not buying use someone else!!!

GoogleI have had a brilliant experience with Horizon sales and lettings, specifically with Victoria Hesse who is one of the estate agents. Victoria showed myself and my family around a property in Thornaby and was very pleasant to talk to as well as very informative, from there she has answered every questions and been ery helpful in the process of us renting a new property. Overall a brilliant experience and would highly recommend Horizon and Victoria. Thank you!

GoogleI dealt with Horizon Sales and Lettings over a period of almost a year for my purchase of a new home to live in. They were extremely professional and helpful throughout the whole process and if, for any reason, we decide to sell, they will be the first port of call for the sale. I have no hesitation in recommending them for any estate agency activity you may need.

GoogleAbsolutely horrific experience dealing with Horizon. I can only liken the experienced to be mugged at knifepoint (which I have). They provided literally no service and decided that they should get paid for it, from my hard earned money. I wholeheartedly disagree!! If I pay for a service I should have something to show for it. Trying to discuss the "mugging" with them was even worse as once cash was in hand, they ignored all phone calls and emails despite violating their own contract. I echo others' statements of "do not pay a sourcing fee". From my experience completely unprofessional, uncaring and money grabbing, whilst we've been left with nothing.

GoogleMy girlfriend and I have had a terrible experience with this letting agency. We saw a property as soon as it was listed and knew we would have been one of the first to enquire. We were offered a viewing that was to take place 6 days later and assured it would be the first viewing. We were keen to place a holding deposit straightaway to secure it but were told that the landlord is keen on viewings as he wants feedback for the property, which in hindsight is interesting as the landlord was not present for the viewings. Despite being told we were the first viewing, my girlfriend arrived at the property and was greeted by someone else who had just viewed it and was leaving. She was also told at the viewing that the letting agency had already received applications for the property, when they hadn’t allowed us to submit one until after we viewed it as the landlord wants ‘feedback’ despite us saying we definitely wanted the property and enquiring as soon as it was posted. At this point we felt completely fobbed off as it was clear we had been treated differently to other people for whatever reason. We did find this ‘feedback’ issue strange from the start, as surely you have all the feedback you need if you’ve got someone that wants to put a deposit down on it straight off the bat. But we thought ok, maybe the landlord just wants to meet the applicants so he knows who’s going to be living in his property which is fair enough. However, all of this didn’t matter in the end anyway as we were finally told the truth days later which was that the landlord intends to sell the property and just wanted ‘feedback’ from prospective tenants. As a result, we wasted over a week of our time chasing a property that they had no intention to let out. The letting agency surely would have been aware of the landlord’s possible intention to sell and should have been transparent with potential applicants. In our case, I have been offered a job in the Teesside area and I am under time pressure to secure somewhere to live to enable me to start the job as I’m currently based three hours away. This has wasted crucial time where we could have put more energy into other properties let by real landlords who don’t treat people this way. Both the ‘landlord’ and letting agency have failed to act with integrity and have treated prospective tenants like guinea pigs for the landlord’s ‘feedback’ experiment. Another shocking thing we learned is that they are still taking viewings for the property as a rental despite telling us that the landlord intends to sell it. We are absolutely stunned that they are happy to continue misleading people. The letting agency has apologised for any disappointment caused and in fairness, everyone we spoke to was pleasant, but at this point that just isn’t important anymore as we aren’t only disappointed, we are disgusted. My girlfriend had to take time out of work for this viewing, as would other prospective tenants and both the landlord and letting agency have shown - and are continuing to show - no consideration for this. Finding a home is stressful enough without having a property dangled in front of you and not knowing there’s no chance you’ll be able to rent it anyway as the landlord simply just wanted his ego stroked to get a feel for the market. My girlfriend and I have both rented properties independently in the past and have never experienced anything like this. We can only hope that we do secure somewhere to live in the next week or so before I have to admit defeat and stay where I am currently. So a word of warning, please be careful with this letting agency if there is a property advertised by them that you wish to pursue.
Hi Lauren, we cannot control the wishes of a Landlord; whilst they initially signed terms to rent a property with ourselves, if they due to a change in circumstances want to sell a rental property and not rent it we have to grant their wishes We notified all clients upon receiving instructions from our client they wish to sell not rent Unfortunately circumstances like this are totally out of our control as a company and we do hope you find a suitable rental property in the area
