We recently completed the purchase of our new home. I was very impressed by how Peter Woods handled the entire process, from initial viewing through to completion. Peter was responsive and easily contactable, even from before we had made an offer. We arranged multiple visits between offer acceptance up to exchange of contracts (builders, architects), and Peter was always accommodating. As a buyer, it was extremely helpful to have Peter's guidance, keeping things on track yet not placing undue pressure on either us or the seller. I highly recommend to buyers or sellers.

Extremely poor experience with this estate agent, specifically Xander, who was dealing with the purchase of a property. Decision-changing information about the property’s immediate surrounding area was not disclosed early on in the purchase, which we later found out was well known within the Wimbledon circuit and was publicly available (unbeknown to us at the time). This information was going to emerge from solicitor searches, and ultimately meant we decided to pull out of the sale leading to wasting time and money (6+ weeks, thousands of pounds). I highly recommend avoiding buying a property from this agent based on the selected information shared, poor communication and handling of the parties involved (no acknowledgement of the situation or apology was ever provided).

Peter managed the sale of our property during a particularly challenging time in the 2023 housing market. We found him and the JDW team to be very professional, personable and efficient - always responding quickly to our questions and following up promptly when chasing other parties. We lost our initial buyers at one point due to change in their situation, and within days Peter had worked hard to schedule a series of new viewings and managed to secure another buyer. There is no doubt that the speed with which he reacted, additionally liaising with our seller’s estate agent, helped us to avoid losing the property we had offered on. During the early part of our journey Peter even paced the streets of our target area looking for potential properties for us. I recommend JDW to anyone looking to sell property in Wimbledon - we really felt we were the focus of their efforts and it was an absolute pleasure to have Peter on our side. Many thanks!

My wife and I have had quite a pleasant experience with John D Wood & Co over the past week. We have been searching for our first time purchase for a little while now and so we have dealt with a variety of agents from a number of different estate agencies. Xander from John D Wood has particularly stood out from amongst others by going the extra mile in getting to understand our situation inside and out. He is both personable and relatable, as he has lived experiences similar to those of our own. We did not feel pushed into making decisions that we weren’t comfortable with. We had to find a let in a very short space of time as our builders wanted to start 2 weeks early. Emily was our contact at John D Wood and she was exceptional. Once we had found a suitable place she worked efficiently and tirelessly to get us in. Turn around was about a week, and despite a fair amount of paper work and checks we were able to move in before renovation on our house began.
