We have been impressed with everything from the start to finish of the selling process with Eddison White. The team especially Aidan Naude, were enthusiastic about selling my house. They kept me informed of prospective viewings and gave feedback after each viewing. Aidan is dedicated to the house sale and was the main contact especially supervising viewings. His knowledge of the locality was helpful for non local buyers. Right to the end of the exchange and completion process Aidan showed fantastic commitment. Thanks for getting the sale over the line!!

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Eddison White (Merton branch). Last week, I applied to rent a property through the agency and dealt with Steve Gardener. After viewing the property, I was asked to pay a holding deposit, which I did. Following that, I submitted all the required documents through The Letting Hub platform as requested. A few days later, I was informed that we didn’t pass the reference check and that the property would go back on the market. I was also told that the holding deposit would not be refunded, which I find completely unfair. After researching online, I found that under the Tenant Fees Act 2019, a letting agency must return the holding deposit if the tenancy does not go ahead due to a failed reference or credit check. The deposit should be refunded within seven days of the decision not to rent the property. Despite this, the agent insisted that the deposit will not be returned. I’m extremely disappointed with this practice and believe it’s important for others to be aware of it. Has anyone else experienced something similar with this agency? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow-up (posted on 5th November 2025]): I’ve since submitted a formal complaint to Eddison White regarding the unreturned holding deposit, as this clearly breaches the Tenant Fees Act 2019, which requires a refund when a tenancy doesn’t proceed due to a failed reference check. If there’s still no response within the next few weeks, I’ll be escalating the matter to Trading Standards and The Property Ombudsman. I’ll keep this review updated to let others know how the situation develops.

I used Eddison White to sell my property in Mitcham and was extremely impressed with the professionalism, advice and support. They marketed the property particularly well with excellent photographs and an engaging description and we secured a near asking price offer quickly. There were a number of particularly difficult legal issues and Aidan at EW did an excellent job liaising with the solicitors, buyer and keeping me informed. I cannot give enough praise to Aidan, he kept the sale moving forward and was instrumental to getting the sale to completion under very difficult circumstances. Well done Aidan! I would strongly suggest NOT working with Eddison White. It is to the point where if a property is listed with Eddison White we would rather not see it. Anyone selling in the Colliers Wood area take caution when thinking of selling with Eddison White, you will lose offers and have less people view properties based on their service. As a first time buyer, purchasing a flat was a pretty scary prospect. I knew I'd likely go with a flat through eddisonwhite as i just felt that the flats I was shown were a higher standard then others I visited. From viewing flats, to exchanging - James was happy to help. He was prepared to show me all the flats in my budget range so I really got a feel for the market. Then when I'd made the offer, he was always at the end of the phone/email to help with any questions or problems I had, as well as being super proactive in moving things along between solicitors and making sure the vendor and I knew what was going on. I could not be happier with the service the team offered when selling our house. They got a price for our property that we were very happy with. The team did a great job of understanding the area and our home, and they did an amazing job of setting the house and making sure it looked amazing for the photos and viewings. We had quite a difficult chain due to changes at the top of the chain, while also trying to get everything done before the stamp duty increase. Aidan did an amazing job of managing all the issues and ensuring everything workout as smoothly as possible. I've just bought my first property from Eddison White. From viewing through to completion Emma Brundle was professional and quick to answer any questions I had. My purchase should have been straight forward but unfortunately I made a horrendous choice of solicitors which almost lost me the property. Would highly recommend Eddison White. They sold our property for a lot more than any other local estate agent had valued it for. It was also sold very quickly with multiple offers. Wow wow wow - what an absolutely fantastic experience choosing to sell my property with eddison white! No other estate agents would be able to compare to the level of knowledge and professionalism this branch offers in Colliers Wood - thank you to Emma, James and Richard. From the moment I walked into the branch and had a chat with the owner Richard about wanting to list my property I felt completely at ease and knew they’d take great care of me. I mentioned my address as I bought through eddison white previously he instantly knew which house it was and what it had originally looked like and was eager to see it refurbed! After having the flat on the market with Purple Bricks for six weeks without any offers, Rhys at Eddison White proactively contacted us to take over the sale. We wish we'd put the flat on with EW in the first place and not wasted time and money with PB! We had lots of viewings and an offer really quickly.
