I decided to use Barnard Marcus to sell my property and am very happy with the levels of service the team provided. They have been fantastic! Vezir was simply amazing. His knowledge of the market, advice and attention to detail was second to none. Yinka and Annabel were also a pleasure to deal with, constantly providing updates throughout the whole process and always available to answer any questions and/or reach out immediately for any additional information required. I was with the agency in Mitcham and cannot speak highly enough. Vezir was my point of call and he went way beyond to make sure my sale was as smooth as possible and was not delayed in anyway. Vezir definitely supported me throughout this process and made me feel that I always had someone in my corner. It did not feel at all that it was about their fees but definitely more of a human touch when getting the sale completed successfully. Eli supported me too towards the end and both kept in contact with both the buyer's solicitor and my own. I would definitely, no questions asked, use them again. Vezir and the team at Barnard Marcus Mitcham were fantastic and incredibly supportive in the process of selling my house. We had previously tried to sell our property in 2021 with another agent which quickly went downhill. When Vezir came to value our property he also explained the other services they have. He arranged for me to meet the mortgage advisor, Slawomir who was also very helpful and he was able to compare the market for me which helped me save some money in comparison to my bank. We rang the 27th Dec 2020 and our house went up on the market on the 4th January and Vez had a buyer by the 7th January. Had a great experience with Barnard Marcus. We became lifetime members when we bought our house, and so used them again to sell, and glad we did. They were happy to listen to our suggested asking price, and gave good feedback and ultimately got it sold with a fairly quick turn around. I was particularly impressed with response times, as at no time was I left in the lurch about progress, viewings, feedback etc. James was a wizard, and I think secretly enjoyed doing the viewings so he could play with the cat. I do not understand these people. Had a viewing of a property on 26/May I liked the property. I called the office next working day. I was told by the manager to see their adviser. Did that next day Everything went well, made an offer I was told they would contact me. I rang after 3 day to find out the property is gone. “I was told I was late to make an offer” makes no sense, late by one day?. Least they should have told me some one has put a higher offer, I might could have matched it or not who knows.

We (finally) sold out property with Barnard Marcus in Mitcham in March this year. However, the process was long, stressful and most of the issues we encountered during the sale were as a direct result of the incompetence of staff at this branch. Viewings were arranged with very little to no notice at all. Once the viewings had taken place, feedback would be near impossible to get. I had to phone up to five times a day to speak to someone about feedback as a result of the viewings. Anybody who has sold a house will know that feedback from viewings is what you use to ensure that your house appeals to buyers. Once we came under offer, the real trouble began. Barnard Marcus clearly do not vet their buyers well enough. Before buyers are able to put offers on properties, it is good practice for the agent selling the property to ensure that the bidder has funds in place in order to purchase the property or has passed an affordability test. My buyer had neither. This only became evident after our house was taken off of the market. The offer on our property was received and accepted in October 2017 and we only completed in March 2018. This was due to the fact that our buyer had not got a mortgage offer in place and when he did get an offer in place, there was a shortfall of nearly £20,000. It took a further two months to sort the deal out. I understand that these issues do arise when dealing with property. However, the way it was handled by Barnard Marcus was nothing short of a disgrace. Their staff simply do no communicate with clients enough and you are left to chase them for information and answers. As soon as you are under offer they pass you onto their completion team and they are just as bad, if not worse at keeping you up to speed with proceedings. When you are involved in a long chain, information is key. A lack of information puts everybody in the chain on edge and in my case, the chain nearly collapsed a number of times because Barnard Marcus were not responding to requests for updates and information. In the end, we simultaneously exchanged and completed on the same day. This was because our buyer's mortgage company would not release funds until the day of completion. I really needed Barnard Marcus to be on the ball in terms of chasing solicitors and mortgage brokers on that day and they simply did nothing. Again, I was left to call, chase and update everybody. Selling my house was the most stressful thing I have done. I am convinced that had I not used Barnard Marcus, the stress would have been at least halved. Their staff are not trained to the standard required, they have no communication skills, they lack customer focus and I honestly do not see how they continue to operate as a business. I was heartbroken to have to pay them any money for the service they provided me and would strongly advise anybody considering using them to think again. You will regret it. I hope this helps future buyers and sellers alike.

We regret using Barnard Marcus, staff been rude, there was a situation where we've been shouted at, we've been lied to two ocasions and we learned it's NOT estate agent rolli to update you with your sell (we had to pay 5k), when complained in the head office were been told agent ONLT have to find the buyer, nothing else, had to do everything ourselves pretty much... but the HIGHLIGHT of entire experience was when AGENT left our FRONT DOOR WIDE OPEN (thanks Robin) Pleasant experience: There mortgage is brilliant, focused and professional.Glenn is a Top Man Manager: Carries professional, she knows what she's doing, apologetic after every issue we had with them, it was just to many... Update. They passing your personal details to 3rd party companies, someone just called pushing new broadband and landline. When called the agent saying I'm not happy about that been told that's standard procedure... Apparently no data protection with them.... Highly unhappy

Both Vezir and Ali showed incredibly poor customer service, I have dealt with other branches of barnard marcus and found them to have excellent customer service, perhaps this branch has bitten off more than it can chew. they do not respond or call you back when they tell you they will, you have to constantly chase them even after putting an offer in to get any information and they do not respond to emails or calls at all sometimes. I would recommend avoiding this branch at all costs. I put an offer in on a property which was ultimately unsuccessful, throughout the offer process they promised to give an update the next day by a certain time even if there was nothing to update or the seller was still thinking, they never did call and i had to call multiple times and wait hours before they got back to me. they similarly promised me multiple times to send other similar properties for viewing after the unsuccessful bid and i called and chased to be sent these properties multiple times both via phone and email and they were never sent or responded to
