I engaged Barnard Marcus in Mitcham to sell my house in March this year and within a week they arranged 3 viewings of which 2 were interested. And offer was accepted by me within a week. Mr Yinka valued the property and I got near enough price. Mr Yinka is responsive to any issues during the process. Robbie (Manager) has also been very cooperative and understanding and resolving any issues. I used BM in mitcham to buy the same house in 2003 and sold the same through them in 2025. Could have given 5* but at some stage I felt like they kept on trying for heavy price reduction to favour the buyer even though valuation was done at full value. Victoria in admin has also been responsive to any issues relating to IT portal. Overall my experience with Robbie and his team has been good.

Barnard Marcus, Mitcham Branch, Extremely Disappointed I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Barnard Marcus in Mitcham has been so frustrating that I feel compelled to warn others. From start to finish, their communication has been poor, unprofessional, and frankly unacceptable. Despite repeated attempts to get updates, I was consistently ignored or fobbed off with vague answers. I felt like I was doing all the chasing while they showed little interest in supporting me through the process. There was no urgency or accountability, and I was left feeling anxious and completely in the dark. This lack of care has put my onward purchase at serious risk, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for a responsive or reliable estate agent. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Complete waste of time. property was valued at £600k-£650k by Barnard Marcus who then suggested their modern way of selling property with Iamsold. they agreed with valuation but said put it on less for £550k to get the interest and in 28 days you will have an offer(s) and that will take a further 56 days to complete. perfect. heard nothing from them had to chase constantly. they had 2 viewings and an offer of £475k explaining that as it was an auction you will get people working like its an auction so wanting to offer less. the opposite of what I was told at the beginning. he then suggested dropping the price to £500k 30% less than what it was valued at. I said lets cancel it then where he then informed me I had agreed a 2 month agreement & has mede me stick with them for the 2 months on something we are miles apart on. yet it was a 28 day auction so why make me sign for 2 months. complete and utter waste of time. anyone can sell £1 for 70p thats easy. choose your agent wisely, the quality of an agent changes area to area as well so make sure you do your homework. from my experience Iamsold wasnt the right route for me & has been unprofessional and a complete waste of time. I now have a property thats been advertised for less than its worth for 2 months. what a nightmare. UPDATE:surprise surprise an email trying to justify their position. shows me a 1240 sq ft extended 4 bed house in finished condition for £575k...My property is 5 beds & 1840 sq feet so going by The sq footage should be at £840k in a finished condition & they are tring to get me to reduce to £500k. SHOCKING !!

I was with the agency in Mitcham and cannot speak highly enough. Vezir was my point of call and he went way beyond to make sure my sale was as smooth as possible and was not delayed in anyway. Vezir definitely supported me throughout this process and made me feel that I always had someone in my corner. It did not feel at all that it was about their fees but definitely more of a human touch when getting the sale completed successfully. Eli supported me too towards the end and both kept in contact with both the buyer's solicitor and my own. I would definitely, no questions asked, use them again. Had a great experience with Barnard Marcus. We became lifetime members when we bought our house, and so used them again to sell, and glad we did. They were happy to listen to our suggested asking price, and gave good feedback and ultimately got it sold with a fairly quick turn around. I was particularly impressed with response times, as at no time was I left in the lurch about progress, viewings, feedback etc. James was a wizard, and I think secretly enjoyed doing the viewings so he could play with the cat. I do not understand these people. Had a viewing of a property on 26/May I liked the property. I called the office next working day. I was told by the manager to see their adviser. Did that next day Everything went well, made an offer I was told they would contact me. I rang after 3 day to find out the property is gone. “I was told I was late to make an offer” makes no sense, late by one day?. Least they should have told me some one has put a higher offer, I might could have matched it or not who knows.
