I had arranged to view a specific property with them. when I turned up on the day no one had arrived so I called to check I was in the right place, they told me I had the wrong place and needed to meet them at a completely different property. When I arrived I realised this wasn’t the same property I had agreed to view and when I asked about it they told me that that had already been let so they’ve taken me here instead, no apologies at all. There was no communication prior about any of this so it was a complete shock to me. The property was also completely different to what I was looking for and if they had of informed me prior instead of tricking me into coming to this viewing then I would have been able to decline instead of wasting my time. Absolutely useless!!

Don't even waste your time. Viewed a house on Monday. Asked for an application for it. Did not come through so chased it. Eventually came through on Tuesday, so filled it out and sent it in. Then told on Wednesday that it had been rented. Turns out they did not wait for my application, even though they knew it was coming. Just presented the first one they got to the landlord, who no doubt acepted it because he thought it was the only one. Since when has renting been a race and the winner is whoever gets the application in first. Waste of my time.

They do not communicate each other and will keep bothering their previous tenants. We used to live on one of their properties months ago, and they want us to pay almost £1000 worth of utilities, claiming that I have debt on utility company. Even though, prior leaving the property all utilities are paid and accounts were closed. They called me last month, to ask me about this, which I confirmed as we have different account number from the utility provider. Yesterday, I received an email again that I need to pay the DEBT that I owe the utility company from. I sent all of the proof and tell them to communicate with each other first before asking someone to pay £1000. No apologies, no response. Would never ever trust this letting agency. Our landlord is lovely, he is easy to speak with, rather than speaking with the agency. Our inspector, Anisha (forgot her name) is lovely, otherwise her team is not easy to communicate with.

Upon moving in, the sofa, chairs, and bed were broken, I've been left without heat for two weeks in winter, and the agents themselves try to brush you off with promises things "will get fixed" and leave you hanging. There were also silverfish found in multiple rooms of the apartment. One agent who was supposed to fix my thermostat and heating was in the building but couldn't be bothered to wait for the lift so went back to the office and I was left with no contact as to where they were or what he was doing until I called over an hour later. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I have recently moved into a property with this agency and since I moved in (5 weeks ago) have had no working hot water at all. I have reported this issue time and time again by both phone and email. All I have been given is excuse after excuse and am STILL waiting to have any working hot water! Pauline Scott know this is the first time I have rented a property and to be perfectly honest I believe they are completely taking advantage assuming I do not know how the process works and do not see me as a priority even though we are hallway through Winter. I have no idea if my Landlord is even aware of the issue but I will certainly be taking this higher. If I could give this agency minus stars I would have.

Worst Property Agents, they just want to let out their landlords property without looking into the status of the property whether it is in a condition suitable for tenants to live in and what all they are promising is available in a good condition or not. We had faced very troublesome time with Pauline Scott, where the property we lived in was having drainage problem - which got resolved only after a month, Mattress - had springs coming out and were hurting the body - this got replaced after a month due relentless follow-ups. the house overall was not clean as well and the Oven and Hob were in the very bad state and not cleaned. We had to get it cleaned. Furniture was not at all good and was damaged in most places. As our hotel stay was getting expired and this was the only option available for us to get into we had to take it, but others please look for other agents and please look properly the property atleast twice before finalising with this agent. They speak all sweet words (office staff as well as the individual who comes to show the property) and also promise to get the property in a clean and neat condition with all problems rectified before tenant moves in but nothing happens and they are also not ready to show the property again before our check-in which will allow us to verify if the problems are rectified. Never ever go with this agent for your property tenancy. the only advantage for people coming in for short term onsite is that Only Pauline Scott offers a 3 month Tenancy Agreement (while others do a minimum 6 months) and the fees are less compared to other agents, but then one needs to suffer for 2 months to get the flat free of major problems and make it in a liveable condition.

Horrendous agency. Absolutely useless. They lie to cover their inadequacies and there are many ! I was a long term tenant and quite frankly the lovely owner may as well have set fire to his money. I once called the emergency line as I had water pouring into the kitchen at 3am ( I never ever received a call or any help i fixed the problem myself ) ! I fixed 95% of issues myself as it wasn’t worth the time and faff to get them to help. When the lovely owner got poorly they took the opportunity to throw me out with two months notice even though they knew the owner and myself had changed the contract to a year. They are useless, inadequate and have no interest in the clients, only in the money . STEER CLEAR AT ALL COSTS !

Got us moved in quickly and efficiently, staff are friendly. EDIT: Were as nice as possible as we were moving in; but since then feel like it’s our job to get anything done since. Had multiple issues and it takes forever to get solved. We’ve called during their working hours but the phones have been turned off early, called the emergency line to which no one replied to our voice message after 3 days. Turns out no one had even listened to it. (What’s the point in an emergency phone number that no one checks? I’ve heard from a colleague they had their own set of issues with Pauline Scott..

Avoid this letting agents at all costs!!! My current landlord left me a false bad reference, i provided proof of his lies and they refuse point blank to refund my holding deposit I paid to them. Not only that but I also lost the house me and my children were looking forward to moving in to. Absolutely crooks in my view. How they feel it is acceptable to take nearly £300 off a single mum is beyond me. Absolutely no understanding at all.

Do not attempt to rent through them. Neglectful, unprofessional and abrupt. Worst customer experience I've had in my life. Unbelievably rude employees who respond when it suits them After a battle with them on a refundable hold deposit, we contacted the director who did not respond. Only sent our money back with no response on his findings. As first time buyers/renters, it put a sour taste in our mouths.

We have been living in this property for 6+ years, Pauline scott have had the property for the last 3 years or so. And every interaction we have had with Pauline scott has been faultless. They have been prompt, professional and helpful at every turn and have never had a situation where we have been let down. The property is a bungalow, and due to my partners disability this is a great help. And whenever we have needed anything sorted it has always been dealt with very quickly. We have rented through Pauline Scott since 2010 when my little girl was just a few months, and this year we will see her turn 13 in the very house we moved into 12 years ago. We cannot fault the service that has been provided to us during this time it has been second to none, any maintenance problems we have had have been dealt with quickly and sufficiently. Whenever we’ve had a routine inspection the staff are always super friendly and make comments on how lovely the house is kept I would definitely say they make you feel at ease. We wouldn’t want to rent through anyone else now and hope to remain with Pauline Scott for the foreseeable future.

Pauline Scott have been exceptionally helpful ever since we moved to Ipswich, they've been great at helping us resolve any needs we've had and have aa great rapour with the Landlords too. They were especially helpful a number of years ago when our Landlord at the time sold the house we were living in, helping a family off 5 adults find a new home, close by, and with a great Landlord... no easy task. I'd happily recommend them.
