Having not sold a house for 31 years we needed to be walked through the process, which Paul did with professionalism and care. He was there every step of the way, going that extra mile to keep us informed, even messaging us at weekends and late into the evenings when needed. This Agency is awful, passive agressive behaviour, trespassing and a lot of manipulation involved, not to mention the fake reviews they have from bots on sites such as Google.Quick side note to the previous reviews mentioning to lock your doors, don't, just change the locks, they have spare keys but only use them when it's convenient, they are sneaky as they can get.

In those 11 years the service that was given to us has been steadily improving, now that Mcfarlane have taken full control I can honestly say they are an excellent letting agency. GoogleI let a property through SLCA for many years, and although it is too soon to review McFarlane (who have taken them over), I was more than satisfied with their service. They seem to strike the right balance between the interests of the tenant and the landlord (although I can remember no occasion where these differed). GoogleI rented a property in Marlborough for a couple of years, moving away a year ago, and was very happy with the service provided, and was delighted to find that a property that I have just moved back into was also managed by them. Jacquie is brilliant, and a really lovely person, and is able to combine professionalism with personability. The only challenge that I experienced was when I tried to pay my rent and deposit using a credit card and was not able to. It would have been much easier for me if I could have used a credit card to mitigate the time between paying, and when I received my previous deposit. Other than that, all very good and thoroughly recommended!PositiveProfessionalism

McFarlane Estate Agents are QUALITY, they are the best Estate Agent I've ever dealt with, Jacqueline Marchant-Currie especially. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable, efficient and supportive, nothing is too much trouble. Jacqueline provided significant support to me during an extremely long, stressful, complicated situation with a tenant. When I requested something she sent it to me almost instantly and she accompanied me whenever I asked her. Her commitment to clients is always above and beyond. The whole team are professional, efficient and friendly. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile and very much a "can do" attitude. Communication is key and they keep you in the loop throughout the process - I absolutely cannot fault them.

I was looking at purchasing a new build property and used the developers assisted purchase programme to sell my existing property. Mcfarlane were selected as the agents and they promptly came out to take photos etc and my property was on the market within days. I eventually decided to withdraw from the transaction but the service received from Mcfarlane was really good and I would not hesitate to use them if I do decide to sell in the future.

GoogleThe team have gone above and beyond with the sale of my father’s house. When it proved difficult to get a gardener around Christmas the team stepped in to find someone and also arranged for them to visit. The sale process has been very efficient.

TrustpilotHave been lied to every time ive used them
I was manipulated into putting an offer into a property when i was lied to about the reason the last sale fell through. This resulted in a £1600 bill for me. Complaints procedure dont comment and dodge specific queries. State lying is not tolerated and then there are no actions taken to prevent it. Make sure you get everything in writing when you talk to them.

GoogleLesley and her team at SLCA have acted for the past two years as property managers and Landlord agents for the house I rented on a short term assured let in Marlborough. They could not have given better service. They were always polite, professional and efficient and were prompt to respond if ever I needed to have contact with them or to request attention to the property. They were also always a pleasure to deal as was anyone from their extensive team of skilled service contractors who visited to make repairs or service the property. Lesley was fair and reasonable always. I would not hesitate to return to SLCA if ever I needed to rent a property again through an agent and, in my experience, Lesley and her team are the best agents in the High Street.

We are currently looking for a house and we came across one we liked and the sellers were Mcfarlane so we called the agent and a lovely lady called Charlotte answered the phone to my partner, the house we wanted to view had been sold subject to contract so she said she would take our details of what we was looking for and help find alternatives, she was so lovely and helpful and as we were on the phone she was sending us links to houses she was so professional and personable and made it very easy for us. She booked us viewings on houses which Anita showed us around she is also so lovely and very helpful and knowledgeable and just makes you feel at ease so Thankyou Charlotte and Anita we really appreciate it
