Describing Holly's service as excellent would be an understatement. From the first moment we interacted with her she impressed us with her professionalism, friendliness and responsiveness. We were stressed about our move from London to Canterbury but dealing with Holly has made the experience significantly smoother. It is worth noting that her stellar services continued even when she had to take on an extra workload to cover for an absent colleague. She made sure to inform us of her increased workload and to direct us to where we should follow up with questions if we needed more immediate responses.Our interaction with her has reflected very positively on Miles & Barr in general. I'm also happy to say that when we had to contact someone else on the team for help - Rhian - she too demonstrated similar qualities. Our gratitude goes to both of them.

We unfortunately didn’t use Miles and Barr to sell our home, but had the pleasure of purchasing our next home through them.Throughout our experience of moving home, they demonstrated how the process should be handled, unlike our agents selling our home.In our opinion they went above and beyond. With a team, very well led by Hollie-Anna, we received weekly phone calls, giving us regular updates on what we needed to do and what we were waiting on from other parties involved.They were always on the other end of the phone, willing to speak and explain various processes and always more than willing to assist in anyway they could.

We approached Miles & Barr about a beautiful house that my boyfriend and I were hoping to rent. It ticked every single one of our boxes - but there was a lot of interest! We were in touch with Holly Hill at the estate agents throughout the process who ensured we had every opportunity to view the property, meet the landlady and kept us reassured throughout until our acceptance. Holly really supported our application and has made the whole process so easy, accommodating our needs. It has been such a positive journey. Thank you!

GoogleWhen we were selling our Margate home we met with four local estate agents and I knew instantly M&B were the company for us. I truly felt like they believed in our home (which was beautiful and historical, but also unusual) and they believed in the area. They do charge a little more as a fee, however, they make that fee back by getting you the best sale price for your home. In terms of the sale, it went through seamlessly and they were supportive every step of the way. We worked with the 'Exclusive' arm of the company, with Sarah, Joe and Katie, who were all a pleasure to deal with. I've verbally recommended them to neighbours who are considering selling so I thought I should do a google review too! GoogleWhen we were looking for houses, Miles and Barr far and above had the best properties on the market in the area. They use great 3D imaging software so you can do a proper virtual tour and when it came to do in person viewings, the staff were friendly and covid compliant. As first time buyers, they helped us negotiate a lower price on the property so that we could receive our Help to Buy ISA bonus, and kept us up to date with any proceedings on the seller's side. Since it was a chain-free sale, it took less than two months from first viewing the house to completion.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleThe Property Management team are next level! We submitted a repair issue with our boiler, turns out after nearly singeing the gas engineers hair off, that we need a new boiler. It isn't going to happen today, that's ok. However their response was to call and and ask if someone could come over and drop some heaters to ensure us, and the kids wouldn't go cold until the issue was rectified. SERIOUSLY! What Agency goes to this level?! I've been renting globally for a while, and my wife and I have lived in 13 different homes over the last 17 years, and no one has gone this above and beyond before! I haven't bought a property in over 40 years so was a bit rusty. Everything Miles and Barr have done for me has been excellent, from the initial introduction, both polished and professional to the updates received every ten days to let me know how the sale was going through. Any difficulties quickly remedied, I can't praise Miles and Barr enough. I would also like to praise Ben for his professionalism during the initial meeting and Shelley Webster who has kept me up to date throughout the procedure.

We asked M&B to market our house last autumn and only had a few viewers. The few viewings that did take place, we never had any feedback from the agents. For weeks on end we heard nothing from them. Earlier this year they called me suggesting we dropped the price by £10k to get in before the stamp duty concession ended. But no sale. So I cancelled the contract and put the property with a different agent. A week and a half later and we have an offer at the original (higher) asking price which we have accepted.

This company discriminates against single parents of low income. This agent told me they had put my details forward for rental properties when in fact they did not show my details to the landlord at all. I found this out as a family member turned out to be a friend of a landlord but he wasn't shown my details. This is down to the one member of staff having too much 'power' and it going to her head. Shame on you and your colleagues for judging people by thier circumstances.

Poor sale info communication. Incompatible buyer viewings. Several dedicated sale progress advisors instead of one as we were told. When i called for info " We are not dealing with that now its with our sales progress advisor". Our latest one had left, leaving us chasing around staff to get information ..ended up calling the Deal branch to get them to contact Ramsgate. Only to be told our sale had fallen. Through. Unrealistic hope of sale of our property to 'very keen buyers' , one of which was a cash buyer. Considerable wasted expense completing buyers demands. Only to have all 3 sales fall through. First call from M&B since November to 'Touch base' Nothing to do with Covid, Brexit or the weather, just an unsatisfying disappointing service. Not Recommend

A big thank you to the staff at the Ramsgate branch but especially to Emma smith the sales negotiator she went above and beyond to keep me informed of the sales progression of my property. We found ourselves in a long chain which we had no knowledge of due to sellers that were less then truthful (not miles & Barr or Emma’s thought but another estate agents negotiator that didn’t even bother to contact us from the beginning)

Recently bought a flat through Miles and Barr. Found them to be very helpful and professional. They provided me with a personal adviser, Donna Bogard. She was very nice and dealt with my queries and problems promptly even when she was poorly and working from home. All the staff at Broadstairs office quickly dealt with my request for extra viewings. Would definitely deal with them again and recommend them for good service.
