I had a viewing booked for today at 4:15 PM. I emailed 30 minutes beforehand to see if I could reschedule for same day 5pm and was told it had been cancelled because the apartment had already been taken. This was surprising, as I had only booked it yesterday. If I hadn’t emailed first, I wouldn’t have known and would have shown up outside the building, mind you, it’s raining quite heavily today! This is not a professional way to deal with people.

Savills, a world class real estate services company, has been helping me on rental aspects all along these years for my property in Manchester as an oversea investor. With great help by Ryan of their sales and lettings department from Manchester office, I recently completed my sales smoothly. From the preparation of marketing materials, lining up potential buyers, connecting me to solicitor, following up all the supporting documents till the completion date with money on hand, I cannot believe I can do it without present in UK. Donna and the team at the Manchester office were really helpful with all queries and maintenance issues we raised. They always replied quickly to emails and tried to resolve any problems in the flat asap. When we raised any issue, the contractor usually came within the next few days to have a look. I do recommend renting with Savills, really smooth process with viewings, references and then the tenancy itself. The team were always willing to help. I would rent with them again for sure.

I've been renting with Savills for 1.5 years (2 flats in the same building). In this time, I've been amazed by how professional, approachable and accommodating Savills have been. In particular, I've been impressed by the property managers Donna Phillips and Sam Fairclough. Donna has been incredibly helpful in ensuring the quality of the flat is maintained and any issues were dealt with quickly, while Sam has been great ensuring smooth transitions when moving between flats and switching tenants out on the tenancy. Having previously had nightmares with other letting agencies, I'm very happy with my choice to rent with Savills.
