We appointed Reside Manchester to manage our Residential property portfolio almost 5 years ago and for much of that period Laura Balme has been our primary point of contact with the organisation. Laura is Head of the Department with overall responsibility for all aspects of property management from Marketing & Lettings, resident liaison, periodic inspections, health and safety compliance, procuring maintenance contractors and overseeing planned and cyclical maintenance. She is an exceptional manager, and her professionalism a shines through at every level, frequently providing regular reports and updates on demand and growth in the private rented sector, market rents, investment returns and expenditure. I value her considered advice, guidance, and informed recommendations. She is an excellent communicator when handling resident inquiries or complaints and proactive in her dealings with supply chain partners or contractors, and can be assertive should the need arise. Perhaps one of Laura’s strongest qualities to her patience and the empathy she exudes in challenging situations whilst maintaining a strong level commercial awareness.

The team at Reside have been absolutely brilliant throughout the entirety of my experience with them thus far. Chelsea initially came out to view my property and value it following which she came and did the photography which she did an absolutely outstanding job of, managing to show my flat at its absolute best. She has been a pleasure to deal with during this process. Esther and Elise who did the majority of the viewings were similarly lovely and professional, both ensuring that the viewers were fully equipped with all the information regarding the details of my property. I had to take my property off the market temporarily but upon it returning to the market, Reside had an offer accepted on it within a week. Since the offer has been accepted, Esther has been in frequent contact with me ensuring that I am fully up to date with the process. Reside are a joy to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to sell (or indeed purchase) a property.

I have been renting this flat for a little over a year. During this time, I have had three different property managers. Unfortunately, the first two managers were not particularly supportive and often made promises that were not followed through with meaningful action. As a result, several outstanding issues remained unresolved for many months. Lauren, however, has demonstrated a completely different and professional approach. Tasks that had been pending for several months were addressed and completed within a short period after she took over management of the property. I am grateful for the high level of support and communication Lauren has provided, which has made a significant positive difference to my experience as a tenant. Lauren is always really helpful. When we report something she gets it sorted really quickly. Since she took over as our property manager we rarely have to wait more than a couple of hours for the problem to be picked up. More generally though I feel like there could be greater communication between the contractors and the team at reside but understandably that can be out of their control.

I’ve been renting an apartment through Reside for the past 18 months, and my experience with them has been nothing but positive. Max Hutchinson, who arranged both my viewing and my vacating appointments, has been incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional throughout. Communication has always been excellent, with emails responded to promptly and clearly. During my tenancy, I only experienced one issue, and it wasn’t Reside’s fault. An external contractor carried out work on the fire door but didn’t reconnect the lock properly, which meant I couldn’t lock my apartment late one evening. I contacted Reside’s emergency helpline, and they called me back almost immediately, arranging for the contractor to return and fix the problem straight away that evening. Nothing has ever been too much trouble for the team, and they’ve always been approachable and efficient. Having had some difficult experiences with previous letting agencies, Reside has been a refreshing change. Thank you to everyone at Reside for making my tenancy such a positive experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to others, and I have nothing but good things to say about your service.
