GoogleAs a landlord I find the advice provided by Kai & Candice at the Manchester Branch of Hunters extremely valuable. They both keep me up to date when tenancies are due for renewal and when documentation needs updating / renewing. I am disappointed that the Landlord's portal has now been discontinued as I found this really useful. A bit of notification that they were doing this would have been helpful.

TrustpilotAvoid this agency at all costs.
I paid a Β£135 holding deposit to secure a room with an agreed moveβin date. The moment they took my money, they changed the date and told me I could only move in several days later. Because of their change, I could no longer proceed and asked for a refund, which they refused.
Every part of the process felt unprofessional. They changed key terms after taking payment, ignored the written agreement, and then tried to keep the deposit even though the change was entirely on their side. I had to escalate the issue to the Property Ombudsman because they simply would not do the right thing.
This experience caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and disrupted my housing plans. Based on how they handled this situation, I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious before handing over any money.

GoogleExcellent service and support provided by Hunters Manchester. In particular Lucy, Daisy and Candice guided me through the maze of potential pitfalls that exist with any lease agreement. I would recommend to anyone who is not sure about what is involved .

TrustpilotRobot refused to give me a viewing
Awful experience trying to arrange a viewing. Spent yonks on the phone with a robot. It asked me unnecessary questions and misheard things; then had to reconfirm everything. Eventually it was happy. I hung up and it started again this time by text. In the end it refused to let me have a viewing unless I told them my spending budget - which I wasn't prepared to do. Do not sell your property through these idiots.

TrustpilotDisappointed
Disappointed, we learned our house purchase had fallen through at the point of us being ready to exchange on our property. We found out that the office had known about it and left it to the agent, who had been looking after us, to tell us after she came back from annual leave! We never got a reason for the purchase to fall through and they even tried delaying us putting an offer in on another property. Luckily this was with another agent and we trusted our gut as the trust with Hunters had gone. 7 weeks later we were in our new home. Felt let down and disappointed with Hunters. This was our first and last time dealing with them.

TrustpilotMy experience with Hunters was deeplyβ¦
My experience with Hunters was deeply disappointing.
Repeated administrative errors relating to notices and tenancy handling caused unnecessary delays, additional time, and avoidable stress during possession proceedings. When I recently contacted the branch again regarding future instructions, I was informed in a dismissive manner that they no longer wished to work with me due to previous disputes, disputes which arose from their own handling failures.
Professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication appear seriously lacking based on my experience!

GoogleA really HUGE thank you to Alex Kendrick for his expert and dedicated work from the outset- marketting my flat brilliantly, dealing with questions along the way, and always impeccably calm and friendly- even when he had to run a new office on his own.
Hunters got me by far the best price selling my flat and swift service, compared to other agents I tried.

Trustpilot"Avoid Hunters Property Management
"Avoid Hunters Property Management, Inefficient, Rude, and Unprofessional"My experience with Hunters Property Management has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. They have consistently demonstrated poor service, inefficiency, and a dismissive attitude towards tenant concerns.Ineffective Issue Resolution: Hunters fails to handle even basic maintenance issues. For example, a heating issue during winter was passed to the landlord without any attempt to troubleshoot. I had to step in and take personal risks to resolve the problem myself, only to discover it was a simple battery replacement. Their inability to perform even basic triage highlights their lack of professionalism and problem-solving capabilities.Creating Gaps Between Tenants and Landlords: Instead of acting as a competent mediator, Hunters merely relays messages between tenants and landlords, causing delays and unnecessary misunderstandings. This approach has damaged the relationship between myself and the landlord, as the agency often fails to communicate effectively or accurately.Rude and Dismissive Behavior: The staff frequently respond to concerns with a dismissive tone, making tenants feel unsupported and undervalued. Their arrogant demeanor gives the impression that addressing tenant concerns is a favor rather than their responsibility.Neglecting Tenant Safety and Comfort: Health and safety issues, such as rat infestations and malfunctioning alarms, were not addressed promptly, despite the serious risks they posed. The lack of urgency in handling these matters has caused significant stress and discomfort for my family.Minimal Value Added: Hunters operates more like a messenger than a property management service. They fail to provide meaningful solutions and seem content to pass the burden of responsibility onto others, leaving tenants to fend for themselves.Overall, Hunters Property Management has proven to be unprofessional, inefficient, and dismissive. Both tenants and landlords deserve better. I strongly advise against using their services if you value timely resolutions, respect, and effective communication.

GoogleSince writing my initial review below, the manager from head office, Maryam got in touch with me and has been so helpful. She looked into my complaint and communicated with me along the way which has been really appreciated. She has gone above and beyond for us and resolved everything so quickly. The issues had been going on for months so it really does show how good communication makes such a difference. She has also arranged for our deposit to be returned to us quickly. I canβt thank Maryam enough for how she handled everything and it has really made me think differently about Hunters and I would now reconsider using the company in the future.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would do. The employees are disrespectful and speak to you disgustingly. It is almost impossible to get any response from them apart from when they are trying to rip you off or harass you with incorrect invoices. They are somehow able to get new tenants into properties but unable to return old tenants deposits / communicate about it. Absolutely ridiculous and the worst experience I have ever had with a letting agency. Avoid this place at all costs

Trustpilotlettings fees are very high
For lettings their fees are very expensive. First 3 months of my 450 rent studio flat they took and I did not get anything. When tenant leaves another month will be gone as inventory check is 180 and cleaning in 250 and this is for a studio flat. If i want to cancel the contract i have to pay 900. Stay away.

GoogleHunters have been absolutely amazing from start to finish, which isnβt easy for me to say as I have tried several in my life and found all others to be severely lacking! I will however, be going back to Hunters after my experience using them to sell my city centre apartment & I canβt recommend them enough.
I was initially apprehensive about going with Hunters since their fees were higher than any other agents Iβd reached out to. Now I can say they are absolutely worth the money.
I initially dealt with Martin, the sales manager. Martin spent time in our initial consultation answering all my questions. He came prepared to the valuation viewing, with evidence & documentation to back up his suggestions on price & positioning (something only 1 other estate did!)
His passion and enthusiasm to work with me was what convinced me that despite paying a couple of grand more for their services, my apartment would sell at the price that I wanted & so the extra would be more than covered. I was not wrong.
Listing the property was a quick & simple process, and whilst Martin guided me, I had full control & final say over how the property was listed. It looked incredible and really made the most of the property, especially the βdolls houseβ floor plan.
One the listing was in place, I then dealt with Ben, the sales negotiator, who kept me up to date on the viewings and the output from them. Within 1 week the property was sold, well over asking. There were some negotiations on price, and for the first time in buying/selling a property, I felt like the estate agents really cared about both parties and getting something that everyone was happy with. Thanks Ben!
Once the sale was agreed, I was transitioned over to Sam, the Sales Progressor. Hunters could not have been more helpful. Sam kept me up to date all the way through the process, with regular emails and phone calls to check on me and to update from the buyers side. These were particulary valuable and appreciated when solicitors and lenders were asking more and more questions and Sam did an excellent job of keeping both parties happy and communicated with me very regularly. Despite things not going exactly to plan, I didn't feel concerned at all as I fully trusted Hunters & Sam to help us all get the job done. Sam continued to go out of his way, chasing solicitors and all parties all the way through.
I decided to go with Huntersβ associated conveyancers as Hunters reassured me that they could help move things along with them if there were issues. Whilst I am still undecided about the solicitors themselves (whilst they knew leasehold, they barely communicated directly, I had 4 phone calls in total with my solicitors, the rest was via their portal and Hunters!), Hunters could not have facilitated the sale more from their side. Ben and Sam were always available to chase up my solicitors and to get things moving or remove blockers. Without them, my sale would surely have dragged on and on.
Having sold and bought before, so I know how important it is that everyone works together towards hitting a key date & this is what Hunters really excelled in doing for me.
In summary, Martin and his team at Hunters in the city centre do cost more than many others, however they are worth their weight in gold and I would not hesitate in using them again in the future. Thank you for helping make one of the biggest processes in my life, so pain free!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I have only great things to say about Hunters Middleton branch! From the very first phone call right up to exchanging contacts They have been beyond brilliant. I absolutely loved the pictures of my house and the write up most definitely did my house justice. My house sold within 4 days and I was over the moon with the price!Nicole was the shining star for me- she kept in daily contact and was the most reassuring and helpful person every single step of the process. She chased up people when they needed it ensuring the sale moved along at pace. Thank you so much Hunters but especially a massive thank you to Nicole- you have been amazingly!

TrustpilotDisappointed is an understatement..
To say weβre disappointed with the level of communication from the Horncastle Branch with Michael and Susan Noonan is an understatement and the level of service is a far cry from Michael's commitment to customer experience.Researching this branch shows multi-occasions that this activity has happened here.If youβre viewing a property with the intent to buy, donβt expect them to tell you if any other parties are interested. Theyβll just pull it from under your feet along with any visions or excitement of a future you had in said house.Viewed a property two weeks ago, following the viewing we had a really positive conversation with Susan in the office expressing great interest, no more than a week later sold to another buyer with no communication. It would have been professional and courteous to reach out to the buyer but more so to the seller, as Iβm certain they would like to have known of other interest. Susan and Michael took away any opportunity or chance to put in any offers, resulting in many wasted hours.I wouldnβt usually leave a review; but the tone in which Susan delivered the news was blunt, lacked any sort of empathy and very closed, to date I am still waiting for a reply to my email which I can only assume has been ignored. We will steer clear of this company for future sales and purchases, knowing that their priority doesnβt appear to be with either buyer or seller.Happy to receive a call or email to discuss our experience with you.

TrustpilotHunters are not interested
Hunters let the house adjacent to ours. There have been multiple pipe leaks around the bathroom causing flooding which in turn is causing damp smells on our side due to the length of time taken to address the issues. It's been repaired after four weeks now within hours water is currently coming through the ceiling next door soaking our party wall and they have told the tennant it's livable no problem.

Expert advice!
The lovely Tom Moorhouse came to value our house on 22/08/2026.
He gave sound, candid advice which my husband and I are extremely appreciative of.
Although we are not in the position to list our house right now (no fault of Tom's), we'll certainly be back within 12 months.
