My brother and I contacted Hunters…

My brother and I contacted Hunters recently in relation to a 6 bedroom detached house with extensive parking & gardens in Buntingford Hertfordshire. We arranged an appointment with their employee Laura. My brother and I were so impressed by Laura from our first meeting in relation to her knowledge of lettings. She proved herself to be highly efficient and courteous during the following week and arranged all the certification, photos & floor plans for the letting with the individual contractors and in addition to providing us with beautiful Client brochures posted it on Rightmove within a very short time scale. I would highly recommend Laura and Hunters.

Extremely disappointed with this firm

Extremely disappointed with this firm, wanted to purchase a property and have waited a year for a viewing to be told it's now got a offer. A year ago offered a cash purchase and was given two appointments for viewings on the property both cancelled and the property taken off then relisted 6 months later asked for another viewing numerous times to be ignored and fobbed off. Finally after months for another viewing appointment to be cancelled again and told it's sold. It's been a year completely unprofessional, long time a year to be on the market especially when it could of sold a year ago. Would not recommend very slow at getting back in touch. Poor communication Extremely poor

Horrible Company, Do not use them.

They are very lazy with their work and don't try as much compared to other firms we've interacted with. They made multiple basic spelling mistakes in the detailing of certain properties, such as 'life support' instead of 'lift support' and somehow misspelling 'appliances'. They also have poor communications between potential tenants and letting people, telling us 15 minutes AFTER the designated time that the tenants would not be coming, even though the arrival was booked a week in advance.

I recently sold 3 houses with Hunters in Gateshead and I have to say Hunters did a job a great job for me. A couple of the sales were not straight forward but they managed to get the sales over the line and and showed great worth ethic and professionalism. Rob is always on the other side of the phone going the extra mile to help out. They also managed my rentals and did an amazing job finding me great tenants. Really slow in replying to anything pretty much

If you ever need them pretty much they are very slack in responding to emails or phone calls. We moved out of our house on 2nd July and have only got our deposit back today (16 days later) this is with no disputes. Basically if they want something they will be quick to act, if you require something they'll fob you off, and they're taking over yorkshire by the sounds of it.

I would give zero it i could. In disrepair for two years. Dont know were to start. Electics, mould, guttering, blocked toilets, firealarms. Dog poo on the floor when moving in. Overgrown ivy on the walls etc etc. im begging you dont rent from them. Fail to attend apointments etc

What to say, utterly unprofessional estate agent. Some properties are for sale in ivyhouse road that we like to view, seen it in Zoopla. And was told that property is sold couple of weeks ago, off hand. I am sure as an agent they have access to the account and very easy to put it STC, rather than making people running around.

I have just recently moved out of a property that Hunters in Baldock were managing I can’t believe in the difficult times with the pandemic how absolutely professional and efficient they have been. Both Claire and Chloe were brilliant. We were feel ripped off by them and felt completely powerless. We were not provided any breakdown of the amount for deductions of our deposit. Firstly, we should have received our deposit back within two working weeks. We only got to receive it today after almost 3 months of constant chasing and mental stress. We were not provided a breakdown of the deposit deductions and were told the deductions amounted to 392 pounds. Feeling powerless and in need for our money we asked them to give us the money back, but all lines were crosses today when an additional deduction of £78 was made for keys, even though we handed both keys over to them in their office. We only got to learn about this deduction after we got the deposit in our account and their was no mention of it before. If getting a property from them please take video evidences of every small thing like a crazy person, even when handing them over the keys

This was our first event with Hunters and it got off to a slow start which we put down to us being new clients. We persevered as their terms were more favourable than our previous Agency. We were very particular about our choice of tenant and the team must have got exhausted by our insistence on detail before accepting the first opportunity. AVOID THIS AGENCY!

Hunters (Harlington)- The agents and landlords prioritize money over tenant well-being and are quick to take your deposit while ignoring maintenance requests. Despite multiple issues in our apartment, including faulty electrical work, mold, and poor plumbing that allowed mice to enter, nothing was addressed. However, the landlord was eager to withhold our deposit to "fix" these issues, only to rent the unit out immediately without making any real repairs. Communication is terrible; agents rarely respond to emails or resolve concerns but are quick to chase tenants for payments. Be cautious when dealing with them.
