Ok where do I start from the valuation to the end the whole staff Richard, David James Sadaf and Millie gave 200% customer service they took so much care and attention to every detail. They made us feel relaxed throughout the whole process of selling our house. Bridgfords should be very proud of all the staff that work for the Withington branch they all deserve a night out on the company. I recently purchased my first flat with Bridgfords Withington. James and Richard were super helpful and communicative right from the beginning, and were always transparent and good at getting answers to any questions I had as a first time buyer. The process was very smooth and simple right up until the last week when there was some miscommunication between the other parties involved, which James and Richard were very quick to help solve, which was very much appreciated. Honestly I can't fault them!!

Fraud risk

Refused to return deposit after tenancy ended, eventually complying four months later after we enacted formal action. Ignored all our calls and emails, and during the little communication I could get with them I was treated with more rudeness and dishonesty than I have ever experienced. In particular Deposits Manager Paddy and Leanne consistently treated us with the utmost contempt. Probably some sort of illegal operations behind the scenes. Avoid!

Bridgfords Withington offered a great service from valuation to completion. David performed the valuation. He didn’t oversell himself or the property and he was transparent about what he liked and what he thought could be improved prior to viewings. Wearing swimming pool-style shoe covers was a small but appreciated attention to detail. Viewings were block booked in a day and an offer was accepted a week after. James managed the completion. As well as chasing up the solicitors, he happily fulfilled other requests such as turning the heating on during the cold spell. Top service!

What can I say about Bridgfords in Bamber Bridge, what an absolutely fabulous team of professionals to deal with especially Jane Catterall! This amazing lady has gone above and beyond for us firstly regarding the sale of my mum's house after she passed away, and now ourselves. Without Jane with her knowledge and wealth of experience our house move would have collapsed, she did everything in her power to get the job done, she went above and beyond, and is also a very understanding and caring individual remaining professional throughout. Largely positive experience as a buyer with generally good communication compared to the estate agent we were selling with. We did have a bit of an issue with communication when trying to relay specific issues found in our survey, and in the end had to speak to the seller ourselves to ensure he had full context. We also found sometimes our emails or requests weren't replied to once we got to later stages of trying to arrange the move in a chain. Rating reflects these elements of the customer experience. Moving is always a stressful experience, but Bridgfords have at least been one of the better estate agent dealings I've had over the years.

First time going through a letting agent as a non student and it couldn't have been easier or smoother. Grace and Bryony in particular were so helpful, attentive and when I had copious questions about the contract (the only thing that difficult about the process was deciphering the jargon in the contract clauses) Grace was particularly helpful in talking me through what things meant and why they were in the contract. Every interaction with Grace and Bryony was a pleasure!

Thanks to Richard and Sadaf I managed to buy my wonderful bungalow with a wraparound garden......a dream come true ! It took a long time and a few let downs before I finally sold my house , but Richard was very diligent in chasing solicitors and generally trying to keep the wheels turning. Some things never change - still shoddy

Some things never change. We bought our house through Bridgfords 5 years ago- not a good experience. They don’t answer the phone or answer emails. Today, as we’ve decided to sell the house, I thought to myself "maybe they’ve changed." I’ve called them 4 X, each time being redirected to an answering machine.I’ve emailed them and no reply. A continuation of a shoddy service continues. The 2 other estate agents I’ve contacted have replied more or less straight away and visits have been arranged. I honestly don’t know how Bridgfords survives in the current economic climate.

2 month+ deposit return delay

I rented a property managed by Bridgfords and moved out two months ago. I still have not received my deposit back. Since moving out, I have called and emailed the branch multiple times to follow up. My calls have been hung up on, and my emails have gone unanswered. For an agency that expects tenants to meet strict deadlines and requirements throughout the tenancy, this level of service at the end of the process has been disappointing. I would think carefully before renting through Bridgfords based on this experience.

I've just (today!) completed on the purchase of a house in Manchester that was put on the market by Bridgfords. The sales negotiator was Ziggi. Both Bridgfords the firm and Ziggi the sales negotiator were outstanding! I was kept informed when necessary and things were chased up when that was helpful. 1 Star is too many stars in my opinion...

I approached Bridgfords and Michael Poole last year to see about selling my late fathers Bungalow. I found their sales tactics to be a bit off, immediately trying to upsell me services I personally felt had no value, insisting it would make every difference. I begged to differ and having a bad gut feeling about them and a positive experience with Michael Poole I chose Michael Poole instead. Then came the phone calls trying to get me to switch and saying they would do a better job. After the second phone call I made it clear I was definitely not going to change my mind and asked them to remove my number from their records and not call me again. I received several other phone calls 2 or 3 weeks apart from each other and after repeatedly asking them to not call me again, the final call I received I told them (not very nicely) that if they contacted me one more time I would report them to the police for harassment as I had made it clear on several occasions I didn't want them to contact me.
