GoogleA few years ago we bought our house through Nicol & Co in Malvern… and we were so impressed with their professionalism we chose them again when we made decision to sell again. They, together with our conveyancer (Zakia Hussain from Taylor Rose) made an absolute dream team at a really difficult time for selling.
The following really distinguished Nicol & Co from the alternatives:
- A truly joined up team from Ellie, the head of the office, through Hannah and Lauren to Harvey and the effervescent Fiona, who both showed the house. Their communications were impeccable in getting the house to the point of an actual accepted offer and past a difficult initial bump with our buyer’s initial solicitor, who was unprofessional. Importantly, if one of the team was out of the office, another of them would be able to seamlessly pick up any issue with ease and competence, a rare thing to find in any business today.
- a great social media campaign, which not only showed off the house at its best but also surprisingly connected us to the family of the master builder who built the house. When we met them it was lovely to hear how had themselves only recently used Nicol & Co to sell their house in Malvern too. It must surely be highly unusual that an estate agents could set up a fan club, but the excellent service that Ellie and her team provide at Nicol & Co is that occasion.
- Kat, Nicol & Co’s sales progressor, went above and beyond. There were some very difficult moments in the chain which made us nervous, but she was a wise head in helping stay our nerves and also in decisively dealing with a difficult lawyer and estate agents. Not all estate agents have sales progressors, and those that do definitely don’t have someone of Kat’s diplomatic but firm persistence. She also was excellent in communicating with Zakia Hussain (Taylor Rose), our equally talented conveyancer.
I hope this detail shows why it makes sense to choose Nicol & Co. They are worth every penny of their fee and more. Definitely the top estate agents in Malvern - and consistently so. We have now twice found them outstanding and very highly recommend them.

They were managing the sale of the house we were buying, whilst we were selling our own property through a different agent. Unfortunately, our sale proved to be problematic, but throughout the entire process Nicol & Co were the driving force in getting everything over the line. Their professionalism, dedication and determination to help us in any way they could genuinely made the difference.
From the very beginning, they were proactive and thoughtful. When we were looking for a property, they were quick to highlight homes they felt would suit us, showing that they had really listened and understood what we were looking for.
The team in the Malvern branch, particularly Lauren and Hannah, were in constant communication. It was hugely reassuring to know they were working so hard behind the scenes, keeping us informed and pushing things forward. Kat was also exceptional. Despite the sale becoming complicated through no fault of Nicol & Co, she remained calm, focused and committed to ensuring the transaction completed in the way we had hoped.
Our only regret is that we did not have Nicol & Co selling our own home. Given the level of due diligence, care and persistence they demonstrated, we are confident the process would have been far more straightforward if we had opted to have them selling our house too.

FacebookRight from the very first meeting when Robin met me at the property I was selling, I had a really good feeling about working with Nicol & Co.
Robin had such a positive, friendly and enthusiastic attitude, and she had good knowledge of the local area which put me at ease straight away.
After the initial meeting, most of my telephone contact moved to Alice and I cannot express how grateful I am to Alice for dealing with this sale in the professional way she did.
This was probably not Alice’s easiest property negotiation to deal with, but she handled every bump in the road proficiently.
Alice’s communication was exceptional and she kept me updated on everything on a regular basis, even when there was little movement she still called me to keep in touch and let me know what was going on.
When the final negotiations were taking place, Alice was amazing and I can’t honestly say how grateful I am to her for working so hard to get this sale completed.
Other members of the team also played their part and although I hope I’m not missing anyone out, I would also like to thank Jackie, Tom & Jake who along with Robin and Alice all played their part in making this process a success.
I would not hesitate in recommending the Worcester branch of Nicol & co to anyone looking for an estate agent.

Whilst the house I have found to buy is not being sold by Nicol & Co, the teams at Worcester and Malvern have been fantastic throughout the whole looking and viewing process - from contacting me when relevant properties became available to following up following a viewing. This has not been the case with other agents!!!!
