All the team made the process of letting the property very straight forward, guiding me through the process and answering all my questions quickly, especially at what can be a stressful time. I would highly recommend Bulmers.

The staff of Bulmers particularly Sally Bulmer made our experience during renting a property very easy. All the Covid restriction were dealt with smoothly. We can't speak highly enough of all of them and hope this continues during our rental. Thanks again.PositiveProfessionalism

I am very very happy man πππ π― The Bulmers team at Malton are absolutely brilliant, they kept me informed at all times, and are very understanding and professional, also very quick with getting things done properly, everything done on time and now I have my lovely warm home all in less than two weeks from my viewing. Thank you so much Bulmers Letting Malton

I am very happy with the service that I received from Jennifer when moving into my property. She is very friendly and effecient and made sure that everything was in place at the correct time, so that everything ran smoothly. One main thing that wasn't done, which should have been, before I moved in was a closer look at the cleanliness as a whole. Mostly all the carpets were filthy and I have had to clean them at my own expense.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. I will make sure your kind words are made known to our local team. In regards to your concerns about the property's carpets, unfortunately, Bulmers has only been instructed by the landlord to find a tenant and not to manage the rental. As this is the case, our local team are unable to instruct a cleaner on your behalf but can appreciate your concerns. Best wishes, Scott

Having contacted Bulmers lettings in Malton, and arranged to view Brawby Parks YO17 6PY for Saturday 23rd at 13:30 (my partner had made an arrangement too for 12:45 for the same date who works away). I work part time from home to provide administrative support for our family business as he is subcontracted to a government body in Reading, London and homeschooling my children. My partner was contacted by Sally Bulmer to advise him on route on how to get to the property as the area the property sits on is horrendously flooded, even right outside the property itself. Although, she'd had been made aware by my partner that we were coming through York and that where we had been travelling from is also flooded, he had explained that we would be travelling in our Discovery 3. I received a call from Sally to check that I am still attending the viewing. I explained to her that my partner and I had double booked for this viewing. That instead of separate viewings for the 12:45 and 13:30 that we are travelling together. Although, I sensed her hesitation and annoyance over the phone as her tone immediately changed to then what transpired to be rude, unprofessional and downright arrogant. Anyhow, as we are unfamiliar with the area, and following the Satnav, we found that the said flooding was really bad, even we had doubts that our Land Rover would survive the submerging, as we witnessed how deep the flooding was when we saw a tractor with its tyres fully submerged in the flooding as he drove through it. Anyhow, we decided to go back to try another way but got lost, I contacted Sally to keep her updated as at this point, we were running late, instead of being empathetic she replied that she had "instructed my partner on how to get to the property, and did he not listen to her instructions and why would we go the other way even though she had explicitly instructed us on how to get to the property through the main road off A64" bearing in mind that I hadn't spoken to her with regards to directions. My partner found this woman at this point to be the rudest person he had come across for an estate agent. We continued on with our journey to get to the property. Unable to get through another flooded area, my partner called her mobile twice and he was unable to reach her. I tried once to speak with her had the same outcome. When we finally got to the property, she was waiting outside to meet us, driving in through the flooded entry of the property, we saw the extent of the flooding. Still in the car before trying to turn off the engine, I courteously apologised to Sally and explained that the Satnav hadn't make our journey easier and of course the flooding. Immediately, Sally Bulmer retorted that we hadn't given her an information to "match what she sees and that she have doubts from the onset that the information doesn't match what she'd been given and based on that she won't proceed with giving us a viewing and that this process finishes here" astounded and dumbfounded with this new revelation of outburst, I asked her what information, Sally Bulmer asked "do we not live together?" We do live together, but my partner works away. Surely this is a bonus point for a letting agent to have an employed family with real income and pays corporate taxes and such. My partner and I looked at each other and thought this is a joke and decided that this is not worth getting into an argument about our logistics with this bull in front of our children and immediately turned our car around to get home. This experience of it's kind is a malpractice and the Bulmer lettings of Malton should have its license revoked. We felt humiliated, embarrassed and worst of all, this all happened in front of our children. Based on this experience I thought, is it because we were not dressed to the nines, and that we have children and of a mixed race family that this country house surrounded by water from the riverside to which the property sits on, doesn't befits us and that she thinks that we won't be able to afford it.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Our modest lives shouldn't be a question of affordability based on materials of wealth. But a descent salary should meet such expenses and to Sally Bulmer's expectations. Even though we thought it'd be a financial loss if we bought and not rent in order to get to know the area well. And by golly, thankfully, she made that decision a lot easier for us and based on what we saw, the property will and always will be a problem for whoever embarks on renting or purchasing it. We asked ourselves, if it'd been such a lovely property, (although, we never got the chance to see it inside) why would the owners let a 6 bed country house for Β£1595 monthly, it doesn't make sense and the numbers doesn't add up. Anyhow, before doing business with this estate agent, please read their reviews. I wouldn't recommend them, as they (Sally Bulmer) whom we believe owns the business (the clue is in the name) runs it how she sees fit and treats her customers how she sees fit. With such ill attitude, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The company having friends and family to counteract the negative reviews here shouldn't be considered, as awful as they are, the one star is just too much for them. A zero rating should be added to reflect on just poor their custom, reading from previous posts, it's customary of them. Unprofessional and arrogant and downright rude adds to her resume of lack of integrity, interpersonal skills and communication skills.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Our previous tenancy ended, leaving us searching for a new place to live. We had multiple viewings with different agencies, but Bulmers were by far, the most helpful, accommodating, and in the end, offered us the best properties! As we were working anti social hours, Sally Bulmer arranged a viewing at a convenient time for us, meaning we didnt need time off of work. Since then the service has been second to non, from assisting with paperwork to second viewings we could not fault any aspect of our experience using Bulmers.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
Many thanks for the great 5* review and your kind words. Best wishes, Lucy, Customer Relations.

On reading some of the reviews on here , I think Iβve been dealing with different people over the past 5 years !! Iβve always found Sally Bulmer to be helpful , courteous and extremely professional . Dawn Ferrer has done all our house inspections and is also helpful and pleasant to deal with . Any problems that weβve had have been dealt with to the best of their ability (even Polish DJβs at 3am) so I wouldnβt hesitate to use them again .PositiveProfessionalism
Thanks Andy for the amazing 5* review and recommendation, best wishes, Lucy, Customer Relations.

We have found Bulmers to be professional, helpful and easy to deal with. We have viewed a few properties with them and each time have been met by a friendly member of their team who was very willing to answer all of our questions and waited patiently for us to look around. Bulmers kept in touch to advise us when suitable houses came onto the market. Upon finding the right property for us the application process was quick and smooth. Their COVID procedures were of a reassuringly high standard at all stages. More recently when we needed a small repair making to the house they sent someone round on the same day. Overall we have been very impressed with the services provided and would definitely recommend.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

From the moment I was in contact with Bulmers, I couldn't have asked for a more friendly, professional and caring group of individuals. Any question I needed answering, they did and if they were not too sure of the answer, would find out and inform me as soon as they knew. From the initial interest in a property, to the final, being given the keys, was a smooth transition where i was fully informed the whole way through the journey. Moving can be a daunting experience, but they made it as stress free as they humanly could. Even after being in my property for over 6 weeks, they still had the decency to phone up and check the jobs that should have been done, have been. They are a credit to the industry and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to rent a property.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Arranged a viewing of a property to let with Bulmers Lettings. Sally arrived 15 minutes late (we had taken a 2 hour journey, due to a move for work) with another prospective tenant in tow. The property was dirty, with mould and damp evident due to a leak from an overflow pipe. Surprisingly, none of the images showed this and it wasnβt a new fault. Completely wasted journey, and she just argued back that it would be fixed and the mould wasnβt that bad. She couldnβt have been more disinterested, and from reading other reviews we are purely cash cows. A lucky escape!
Hello, I am sorry you feel this was please email me at review@countrywide.co.uk if you wish to discuss this further. Kind regards, Lucy, Customer Relations.

Good afternoon all. This is my experience of Bulmers. As a family we have sought to rent property several times with this company. We have found Sally Bulmer to be rude and patronising. 1. NO RETURN CALLS OR FOLLOW UPS.We have left details with Bulmers staff to asking for call backs to arrange viewing property... no reply . 2, STAFF HAVE LITTLE OR NO KNOWLEDGE OF BUILDINGS. When we achieved a viewing with their staff, they have known little or nothing about the property you are viewing! 3, COMPLETELY WASTE YOUR TIME. If you decide to approach them or you are a landlord consider this. We are a working family with professionals all employed on good incomes. We have viewed several properties and had the experiences mentioned above. If your a landlord you may not be getting the best clients in your let. If your a client trying desperately to find somewhere to rent? You may be better seeking another estate agent, who return calls, doesn't patronise and have huge. Self righteous egos, and more importantly put the landlords and clients interest first Bulmers does neither. They will prob reply with the line... we are sorry your disappointed......
Hi Terry, We have contacted our local team regarding your comments and have been unable to locate you on their records. Please contact us at review@countrywide.co.uk to discuss further. Kind regards, Scott (Countrywide Customer Relations)

It is a shame zero stars is not an option provided by google. Customer service skills are absolutely diabolical. Never been made to feel like a second class citizen anytime in my life until I dealt with this letting agent. The first thing I read on the website ...."You have the house, we have the tenants", is it just me that thinks this makes 'potential tenants' sound like cattle they are in control of. Anyway shocking service, terrible people skills, avoid at all cost. FYI with regards to Country wides response, I called head office to be ignored. Just shows how much the group cares.
Good morning Robert, I am sorry if you were not happy in your experience we us. If you wish to share any further comments about your experience, please do email me at review@countrywide.co.uk Kind regards, Lucy.

Do not expect your bond back without a fight when you leave. Stalling tactics meant it took 3 months after checkout to get a penny of mine, clearly a deliberate technique to grind you down into giving up fighting for it. They ignored the deadlines given to them to respond to the adjudication service when the dispute began, submitted evidence after deadlines had passed, told them some of it had been returned to me when it hadn't, refused to respond to emails or return phone calls before or after checkout. Wouldn't give me a copy of the checkout inventory. They claimed for cleaning (after a professional clean was done with invoice provided) without providing invoices or receipts to the dispute adjudicator to prove it had been done, nice little extra earner for them. Extremely unprofessional service and have been recommending to everyone I know in the area to avoid them.
Hi, Valentine Thank you for your message. I am sorry that you have experienced these issues. I apologise for the delay in the deposit, but the dispute is done through the TDS which is a third party whom we have no control over. Having spoken to Sally over the phone she says that she has sent the check-out report, though if you have not received it do not hesitate to be in touch and we will send another one. I can also report that the cleaning was done on the 2nd November. I hope this clears everything up for you though if you have any more issues donβt hesitate to be in touch. Kind regards, Chris

If you are looking for a agency to manage your lettings then I would highly recommend Bulmers Letting Agents. We started using them over 3 years ago when we bought our first buy-to-let and had no hesitation in using them for our second property. They are extremely professional and efficient at dealing with all matters from finding a suitable tenant to dealing with repairs and maintenance. All of our tenants have commented on how nice the staff are to deal with and how promptly they sort out any issues they may have.
Thank you Fin. Best wishes, Mark

The Bulmers team are uniformly helpful, patient and informative. The whole process, from arranging a viewing to signing the agreement was straightforward, clearly explained and professionally handled and documented. Great experience overall.

Wouldn't deal with bulmers ever again The flat I shared with my partner when we left we couldn't get our bond back until we threatened with legal action and we put in a formal complaint The house we bought had been looked after by bulmers and it was in disgraceful condition Only good thing we got it cheaper After weve heard quite a few stories of bulmers holding on to bonds
Hi Richard, Thank you for your comments and as such we have contacted the local team. I understand, as you will have been aware, that the property in question was not managed by Bulmers as this was handled by the Landlord directly. With this in mind, as the Landlord did not give permission for the bond to be released, the branch team were unable to achieve this for you. However, I can see that several e-mails were changed, one including your threat of legal action, upon which the Landlord gave Bulmers the permission they needed. While I am sorry for any inconvenience you experienced, I do hope you can appreciate that this matter was not as a result of any inaction of our local agent. Kind regards, Scott

I've been looking for a property for a few weeks and the only person to treat me like anything other than a number or something to organise, so far, was Clare at Bulmers. Renting somewhere by yourself can be so stressful and kindness goes a long way.
Thank you for your brilliant 5* review. Best wishes, Lucy, Customer Relations.
