Strakers are brilliant. They have helped us to sell two house belonging to relatives in the last 12 months. All of the staff are kind, courteous and very patient. They listened and did things in the way we requested. They helped us when we encountered a complicated problem . They kept us well informed with progress and were always available by phone or email to answer queries. They offer excellent service.

Communication was always good, particularly during our second sale attempt where manager Marianne Owens became directly involved, we cannot praise Marianne enough for her knowledge and expertise, her influence helped us enormously and we will always be grateful for her personal touch, her efforts went beyond in our opinion. We were very pleased initially with your Sue George in spending time with us and for sharing her knowledge of the site with us.However, having sold our property on December 8th 2021 we have been informed almost month by month of additional delays to our build completion date. This now stands at May 27th 2022! We will have been renting for almost 6 months by then and having to pay for storage for 6 months.We are aware of supply and labour problems but it transpires that our purchase, plot 15 Maton Close,was to be the last to be completed which would have been useful to know.I can appreciate that this is out of your control and Ashford Homes have been good on communication and arranging for all ' extras'.We remain very frustratedAndrew and Sally Elliott

Being the first time I’ve sold a house, strakers we’re very helpful, quick to get it on the market and sold before it reached online. Also purchased our new house with them, viewings we’re organised quickly, right through to making an offer. Would have liked a few more updates throughout. Found it hard chasing solicitor and estate agents to get info, between making the offer and getting a move in date (6 months). Felt like a very long process, the solicitor firm recommended by strakers, were hard to work with also hard to get motivated, to finalise all paperwork.

GoogleWe recently purchased a property through Strakers. The whole experience was a frustrating and unpleasant mess. First they failed to tell us that the property we were interested in had received an offer despite, our stated interest, leading the sellers to accept the only offer they had. When we attempted to view the property again a Strakers agent rudely told us that it was our fault they didn't contact us, and that the property was under offer. They then failed to tell us when that offer fell through, mere days later, and the property was back on the market - it was only through chance that we noticed the property was once again listed as available. They then tricked us into paying for services such as electrical inspection of the property, which are traditionally carried out by the sellers as part of the sale. While we made it clear that we needed to proceed quickly with the purchase they also took no further action for two entire months, only becoming active again when it suited the sellers to proceed, immediately before christmas, at which point Strakers agents called us as many as four times a week for weeks on end to harass us over contracts that they knew were being handled by our solicitors, and which we had no ability to accelerate. The Strakers agent was also grossly unprofessional and insulting during one of these calls, throwing an actual temper tantrum down the phone at us when we insisted on being able to inspect the property as part of the exchange process - which we were legally entitled to do. Never have I been so disgusted with a supposedly professional agency. I will never be using Strakers again.

GoogleWe recently completed on our house sale, which was marketed and managed by Strakers fantastically. Within days of the property being on the market, we received our first offer, which due to the current climate, sadly fell through within as many days, however; our contact at Strakers called us immediately upon receipt of the news and acted promptly to re-market the property that same day. Again, within a matter of days and weeks, they booked in several viewings and we received another offer, which we accepted. The Sales Progression Team were great and kept us informed throughout, even supporting our buyer with details of surveyors and electricians, as the buyer wished to conduct an electrical test on the property, for future rental purposes. Whilst both solicitors were conducting enquiries, our contacts at Strakers were always prompt at reaching out and checking in with ourselves to keep us informed of progress. We certainly believe and are confident that Strakers did their very best to facilitate a fast completion, however we understood that timelines were controlled by the solicitors. All Strakers team members acted with absolute professionalism, responded to all of our queries immediately, and acted on Covid guidances appropriately. We would not hesitate to recommend Strakers, and in fact already have.

This was my first time to bid on a property auction, so I was somewhat apprehensive. I found the process reassuringly straightforward: the Online Auction Buying Guide provided by Strakers is welll written and clear, taking you through the process step by step. In addition, it was very helpful to be able to talk to a member of the Auctions Team, Tori Lancaster-Gaye, who was able to follow up on my queries and provide practical advice, helping to demystify the process in a friendly manner. I gave 4 rather than 5 stars because I found the legal pack very sparce, and had to chase up a few answers as the auction approached.

The easiest estate agent to deal withWe enquired about a property that had a lot of interest and they were taking no more viewings. Every other estate agent you never hear from again. Matthew called me back and booked a viewing for the following week. We made an offer and was also given the opportunity to increase our offer. We did and we were not successful. Rosemary phoned us when she said she would and worked late to make sure we knew the outcome. She also did a follow up the next day to try and help us in our search. Exceptional service and I have hope they might find us our new home yet🤞

We were very pleased to use Strakers for the sale of our house in Malmesbury. The initial viewing was constructive, professional and positive.A number of the staff showed people round the property and we had regular updates of of how the viewings went. After a few weeks Strakers advised us to consider lowering the price, which we agreed and from then we had a number of offers. Once we accepted an offer Strakers were busy monitoring every stage of the sale by speaking to other agents and the solicitors involved. We lost one buyer as the chain broke down. Strakers immediately contacted another prospective buyer, who still wanted the house and was in a position to raise his offer favourably and the sale was eventually completed. The sale took about four months.We really appreciated all the time and effort put in on our behalf by all the staff in the Malmesbury branch and would recommend them to anyone wanting to buy or sell a property.
