⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for Peter Alan, Maesteg Branch Although we weren’t the vendors, our experience purchasing a property through Peter Alan Maesteg was excellent from start to finish. The team were efficient throughout the process, accommodating multiple viewings so we could take renovation measurements and keeping clear, consistent communication between ourselves, the vendor, and both sets of solicitors. On key collection day, everything ran smoothly, and the team were absolutely lovely to deal with. Even after completion, they continued to support both us and the vendor with follow-up tasks such as meter readings and final handovers. We have another property to sell soon and will definitely be using the Peter Alan Maesteg team again. A big thank you to everyone involved, your professionalism and friendliness made the whole experience stress-free!

Excellent service and attention from the team at Peter Alan. Special mention to Lewis who was instrumental in the sale of my home considering the setbacks I experienced. Lewis went above and beyond in assisting me to negotiate successfully an agreeable price for my new home. He was always available to take my call and answer any questions or concerns I had and was always responsive to emails. He was always so positive and supportive through the whole journey. worst experience as a first time tenant.I am writing to raise a serious complaint about the ongoing conditions in my rented property. It has now been four months since I moved in, and the problems remain unresolved despite my repeated reports. There is a leaking roof which has been worsening for from today, and water is now dripping through the bathroom light coul cause the electricity to trip or a electric shock. The stairs are broken and could collapse at any moment, the walls are full of moisture, none of the doors are in proper working order, and the backyard is full of trash that was never cleared before I moved in. There is also a severe mould problem, pest activity including slow worms entering my living room, and overall unsafe and unhygienic living conditions. I have an infant in the house, which makes this situation even more dangerous. I gave my official notice 10 days ago, but it has still not been accepted, and I keep receiving the same false promises with no action. Some of these repairs and checks should have been completed before I moved in, but nothing has been done. As a common citizen who is paying rent, tax , bills and you get this for your months baby and wife.

Shauna Rees from Peter alan Measteg has been absolutely amazing! We put an offer on a house in April and when hitting July we ended up hitting a few bump in the road and Shauna helped us out so much. From contacting the sellers, solicitors and vendors for us, helping us speed up the process if completion quicker and all round advice on many different things. I don't think we would have our keys right now if it was for Shauna! Huge huge thank you. And highly recommend!

TLDR: Sold property during tenancy, told I'd be unaffected before being told I had 2 days to move out, demanding double rent payment, refusal to refund deposit & rent overpayment on a property they no longer own. Happy to take action when a rent layment is 2 days 'late' (even if the payment isn't a valid one) but outright reject liability categorically when it comes to refunding tenants. Thieves and con-artists. Moved in end of March 2021, landlord sold the property during my tenancy and I was told it'd make no difference to me (sold with tennant) 2 days before the sale was final I am visited by the new landlord to clarify that I'd be moving out October 15th (this was on October 13th) as Peter Alan informed him I was leaving. No conversation had been had with me. Was made to sign a new contract, find a new deposit and rent half way through the month and was told my previous deposit and rent overpayment will be refunded. Instead, Peter Alan attempted to charge me rent on the 1st of November (on a property they no longer managed and insisted I was moving out), then issued me with late payment warnings and potential action. Since then I have been fighting to get my refund back. I have had my deposit (as its held seperately) but I am still fighting to get my refund back. Peter Alan insist they are not liable to repay my refund even though my statements show that my payments were sent to Peter Alan. I've had nothing but excuses, deceit and unproffesionalism from Peter Alan, particularly Kim Wilkes whom seems to spend the vast majority of her time either never in the office and therefore never working, or just blatantly ignoring emails from me on the matter. Legal actions have already begun though given how this will now take time, I'd rather for-warn potential tenants ahead of time! Given the choice between going with Peter Alan again or being homeless, I'll be finding myself a nice boxNegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Excellent service from Alexander Lewis. I have dealt with Alex on many occasions over the last few years and she is so helpful and hard working. Nothing is too much trouble for Alex. I highly recommend using Peter alan as an estate agents as they are prepared to go above and beyond to help customers achieve what they want. Worst branch. The staff is not helpful at all. Most of the time no one picks up the phone. When you go to the agency, there is usually no staff in the rental department. Or the branch is locked. They take my, my partner's and my guarantor's personal details, take our deposit. And finally they don't let us into the house. Shameful. Completely unprofessional. I will tell all my friends and other people to be careful with this branch. They make money from deposits and the money is not returned.

Amazing service! Would like to especially thank Kim and ffion. Me and my partner have found our perfect little home thanks to them and they couldn’t have made it easier or had been more helpful. We did have a small problem with a leak in the property which I told them about and even said it wasn’t a big deal but within 24 hours the problem was sorted and I’m confident any future problems will be handled with the same urgency and professionalism. Any concerns we had were solved straight away with no hassle. Currently we’re on our 3rd week in our new home and absolutely couldn’t be happier! Peter Alan as a company is just outstanding, truly care about their customers. Normally I don’t leave reviews but on this occasion I just wanted to give them a special mention due to how great they’ve been with us.

Megan was excellent in dealing with viewings, allowing me to visit the house a few times to take measurements etc. Jess was brilliant in explaining things to me as a first time buyer, and was always very responsive to my calls/emails. Jess even went out of your way to help as at a difficult time through the initial administrative process. This really did not go un noticed and I am so gratefull for this personal touch you gave to us as a family. Even when viewing feedback was often negative, Jess remained positive and carried on, always bringing positivity and this helped so much, all assisted by a excellent sense of humour and valued Sales experience. I first met Jade Davis when she was one of 3 local estate agents to value a property tht i had been left by my late aunt, the first thing that struck me was her confidence in what she did and she also valued the property above the other two agents, she was the only estate agent to follow up her visit with a call to see if i wanted to go ahead, as i was a bit hesitant due to the value she insisted she was right and the other two where wrong. We had an offer on our property at the end of October and after many weeks of slow progress and poor communication from another branch we were delighted to receive an enthusiastic and friendly phone call from Jess at the Maesteg branch to inform us that she was now taking the sale forward instead of the original sales team at another branch. Jess is a pleasure to work with, she is professional, dedicated and honest. Jess returns calls and follows through everything in a timely manner. She is an excellent communicator and we felt very reassured by her experience and demeanour. Jess took over the sales progression of our property from another branch and within 2 weeks we have exchanged contracts and complete this week. Any problems encountered Jess found a way to resolve . Cannot rate Peter Alan enough from… Cannot rate Peter Alan enough from start to finish they have been an excellent estate agency. Arranging visits to view properties were done quickly and arranged around a convenient time for us. Communication was made via email and over the phone which made contacting the estate agents easy with any queries answered within a few hours. All staff were extremely helpful, however Jess was our main point of call who was informative and very helpful. We chose to go with Peter Alan’s solicitors which were Howell’s solicitors which I believe was the best move as it enabled the process to move quickly and smoothly. Within less than 4 weeks of us putting in an offer, all paperwork is complete and we shall be receiving the keys today! We cannot believe within the space of 6 weeks we will have become home owners
