GoogleMarcia and the team at Low Fell were fab. I viewed a rental property with Rachel and wanted to take the property. I spoke with all of them on the phone making sure I had everything before I came in to make the application. Come move in day Marcia explained all the move in paperwork and what everything meant. Alex and Haley were also really accommodating making me a brew, and making what felt like a stressful day an absolute dream. I love my new home and how all stress free it was! Thanks guys!!! GoogleTOTALLY AVOID THIS COMPANY! UNSYMPATHETIC, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL!
I don’t even know where to start in describing how unprofessional and truculent this company has been with myself and my boyfriend. So much for safeguarding your tenants and your landlords, I don’t think I’ve been supported in the slightest. All they did was conspire against us with the landlord and become arsey when challenged.
Was whacked with a £270 bill from the landlord and your move for jobs done on the property which actually were in the inventory photos when we moved in and made me take them to dispute! Look at your photos before you accuse your tenants of damage they did not do!
And to add to that, was told by your move and the landlord “not happy with the cleanliness of property or condition” no break down of costs given to me untill 3 and a half weeks later, but funny how the landlord had arranged for all these jobs completed and an invoice created within this timeframe without even informing his tenants ??
Asked for an early check out due to me unfortunately having to attend a family members funeral in Suffolk in the week of checkout and my boyfriend working 13hr unsociable shifts all week, they declined and had not the slightest bit of sympathy at all. I’m disgusted at this. Therefore we moved out a week early, handed the keys in a week early and was charged for cleaning of some slight dust in the property which if you think logically would have been there after the house has been unoccupied for a week!
Tried to make me and my boyfriend feel like fools when questioning what the last tenant and her family paid for their water bill as our bill creeped up from £35 to £61, to be told “that’s normal for a couple” yet the last tenant and her family paid £35, only when raised by us and northumbria water to be told we have a nearly £400 debt, due to a slow leak in the LANDLORDS house! There was no sympathy shown by the landlord or your move for this and we have had to claim our once in a lifetime leakage allowance on HIS property to have the debt wrote off, we cannot ever use this again on future property and have only just received compensation from Northumbria water for this.
Also to add onto this, when you come to move out and you tell them specifically that you do not want viewings done when you are not in, and have NOT given permission on numerous occasions for them to use the keys to come into the property and they on one occasion attempted to open the door and walk into my property to show people round as I was getting dressed! Luckily I had the latch on! When I challenged the lady about this she stated “sorry who are you? didn’t know there was anyone living here” I think you should know who’s living where is part of your job and considering there was a car on the drive and the tv was on it was obvious someone was in!
AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE THEY USE THEIR TENANTS AS CASH COWS!

Dear Miss Stone,
I’m sorry that you feel that Your Move have not acted in a fair and reasonable manner during your tenancy or following its termination. Let us address the issues you’ve raised.
We did sympathised with your request to return the keys early but explained that as managing agent we act on instruction from our landlord. On this occasion the landlord exercised their right to refuse the property keys prior to the agreed date the tenancy terminated. This arrangement is detailed within the tenancy agreement and also within the further guidance notes we issued 3 weeks prior to the agreed check-out date. Also contained in both were the expectations of how to return the property
The condition of the property was assessed by an independent professional inventory clerk who compared the property to the inventory provided at start of the tenancy. The checkout report highlighted issues that were outside of acceptable wear and tear. The landlord naturally claimed against the security deposit to rectify these matters.
This information was supplied as soon as it became available to us to which we then updated you in a timely manner.
You disputed the amount claimed against the security deposit - which is your right. Following the dispute an independent adjudicator was appointed to carry out a review after both parties provided evidence. The adjudication process reported that “the Tenant returned the property in a worse level of cleanliness at the end of the tenancy than as it was when originally presented and for this, I find a breach of the Tenancy Agreement by the Tenant"
In addition, the report found there to be a further breach of the tenancy for damage to the walls and blinds which the landlord was awarded compensation.
The leak was an unforeseen situation that was reported to the landlord as soon as you made us aware. Your tenancy ended on the 6th June 2018. Due to the nature of the leak it was difficult to rectify in full and Your Move do not have any records of the costs you have outlined.
In respects of viewings the local branch have advised that for every viewing they attempted to contact you to confirm when they would attending. On the occasion you mentioned this was not done and we accept we made a mistake for which we apologised and do again.
Overall we have acted within their confines as a managing agent ensuring the terms of the tenancy agreement where adhered to, by you, as a tenant.
