GoogleTerrible experience. Spent 4 months of last year without heating in my rental property. Just been told my rent is increasing 22%. And now being sent harassing emails to leave the property if I don’t sign up to the increase.
Dear Hasam, We are very sorry that you feel this way, however we feel that we have done everything in our power to alleviate your issues and concerns. Please see below everything we have done to accommodate your issues. When you reported that you thought there was no heating, you mentioned that you were not too concerned as you are travelling a lot. We immediately bought you two powerful electric heaters and arranged for contractors to come round to attend to the heating issue which is a very complicated system. Parts were ordered which took a month to come. In the meantime, you were offered to be released from your tenancy which you declined. You were also offered to move into the next-door property (identical to your own) which was vacant, you declined this too. Finally, you were given compensation of £900.00 for the inconvenience, which you accepted. When you moved into your property the landlord had recently passed away and the executors were not sure whether to sell the property and decided to rent the property at an extremely reduced rent, not at all at market value until they had sorted out what to do with the property. The landlord did renew your tenancy during covid at a reduced rate again. Rents are now back to market value and the landlord would like to receive rent based on the current market ideally, but out of good will is still offering you a below current market value rent. If you are not happy to increase your rent your landlord has offered (below current market value rent), then the landlord is within their rights to give you notice to vacate. Mariola, who I was in contact the most, was great at managing the property, always helpful and very responsive. I really felt like she was willing to go the extra mile for the tenant and that is greatly appreciated. Would give six stars if I could 😊

GoogleBoth Ashley and Simon were of great help. Ashley did all she could prior to going on leave to ensure the we, and the landlord, were happy. Then Simon took over in her absence and even met us outside of work hours to hand us the keys.
