I recently moved to the UK and had my first property viewing arranged by Rio Bell from Stirling Ackroyd Brixton. Initially, I wasn’t fully convinced, so I explored a few other properties as well. I was also shown another property by Elena from Stirling Ackroyd, who was wonderful and very helpful In the end, I decided to go ahead with the first property I viewed. I would like to thank Rio Bell for her consistent follow-up and support. The team has been very proactive, responsive, and professional throughout. Overall, I had a positive experience with Stirling Ackroyd.

Although I didn’t ultimately decide to move forward with a property through Rio, she was by far the most patient, friendly, and informative letting agent I’ve dealt with. She took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly and never made me feel rushed or pressured. What really stood out was how knowledgeable she was about the upcoming Renters Reform Act. She clearly knows her stuff and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I would highly recommend Rio to anyone looking for a professional, approachable, and well-informed letting agent

Rio was lovely to work with, she was patient, kind, and professional and went out of her way to make sure I was supported. My experience with Marcel, however, was less positive. His communication came across as dismissive and presumptuous, which made an already stressful situation more difficult. I’d encourage the Brixton branch to reflect on customer communication standards, as it really impacts how the company is perceived.

Throughout the entire process, from viewings to reference checks, Omar was incredibly kind, helpful and professional. I kept getting calls every couple of weeks from their contractors about when they can visit to have the shower clip fixed. Apparently, the shower head is dangling. so, I answered, I have reported nothing, nothing needs to be fixed. This went on for months. Then, one day, another contractor called about Distribution pipes should be insulated. I said, no need, we can't wait to move out in a couple of months. Then the agent who's managing the protest E-mailed, "We need to arrange a quote for the work to proceed, in order for the Legionella report to be completed." I thought, they are not going to give up, are they. so, booked it. I waited half a day until 12noon, when I should be at work. Engineer comes in, he was waiting for me to tell him what needs to be fixed. so, he looked at boiler, nothing needs insulating. he popped into bathroom, shower heads are fine. there was nothing to fixed, so he left. That has been a real waste of time for both of us. I disappear half a day of work, that looks soooo good for me. THANKS STIRRING ACKROYD. I would never used them again, even if I have nowhere to live!

I had a horrible experience with Stirling Ackroyd estate agents. I appoint them to find tenants and manage my property, trusting their vetting process. However, the tenants they approved turned out to be highly problematic, eventually stopping rent payments and forcing me into costly eviction proceedings. By the time bailiffs removed them, I had lost £32,000 Not only have Stirling Ackroyd withheld the entire security deposit which was meant to cover rental payments but the company has demonstrated an appalling level of greed, seizing every possible opportunity to extort money from clients already suffering massive financial losses, the losses that Stirling Acroyd directly contributed to. The so-called guarantor they selected is utterly useless, with no assets to compensate for my damages. The company’s behavior is nothing short of disgraceful, and yet you still have the audacity to demand even more money. On top of everything, the complaint process is a complete joke. I raised my concerns multiple times, but they ignored me or I got a very tempelted/machine generated response. Calls went unanswered, and when I finally spoke to someone, they had no idea how to help. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service is shocking. The deceptive business practices and deliberately convoluted contracts are clearly designed to exploit people who lack experience in these matters. I have absolutely no hesitation in calling them out for what you are scammers who prey on landlords in distress.
