Liam & his team were fantastic. We originally put our property on the market in 2019 & it sold within 10 days but had to take it off the market, due to it having a cladding issue. While had a great experience when first moving into our rental in September 2021, we were pushed for an unreasonably high rent increase in June 2023. 3 months before our tenancy ended, Stirling Ackroyd was attempting to pitch a 28% rent increase to us, suggesting this was in the area of what our landlord was looking for. In reality, the landlord has already let us know he needed less than half of this to secure his new mortgage. Ultimately we agreed to a much lower increase closer to average increases in the area, but was left with a bad taste by the attempt to squeeze us for far more. Disappointed to find that a heated market for renters is being driven, at least in part, by these agencies.
