At the begining of the tenancy: they been quite helpful until we got the keys. However, we found out some problems with the flat (hole on the wall, unfinished flooring,..) and they was not bother to check and repair.During the tenancy: I reported problems with lights, door lock, .. - they never come to fix.They always want to view the house on the same day without notification in writing. When they came in, they did not take their shoes off the carpet - How professional they are.At the end of tenancy, they tried to charge us £5k for damage without any reasonable grounds - the adjudicator, of course, did not allow them to do that. And He reduced the amount from £5k to £0.00They even tried to charge us £138, the fee to change the door lock which was repaired by the neighbor, and again adjudicator made them to charge us £0.00 instead.I would advise tenants need to be careful when dealing with them. If you can, JUST STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

GoogleRupa was very friendly and helpful. She showed me three properties and was very knowledgeable about the area. I asked her about one flat and she quickly got back to me with an answer from the landlord. Not too pushy but keen to help me if she could. Would recommend :)

Criminals that want your deposit careful of Natalie. The deposit team are not the messenger, they advise the landlord.Asked for my deposit a week ago and was ignored until I put in a request to DPS then they came out of the wood works. Demonstrates a lot about the company, they were willing to ignore me until they had to. My recommendation do not pay your last month, they will take your deposit anyway.

I have been trying to get in touch with portico for the return of our deposit. They have been withholding it now for two months and I have been trying to get in touch with them via email and phone calls. The number listed for the department is faulty and won't put me through, the general queries number does not put me through to anyone, but promises to call you back. I have yet to receive any sort of attempt to get in touch with me from portico.

Good when it comes to signing up to a rental agreement, very attentive, friendly and quick response time. During the tenancy they were as expected and dealt with minor issues relatively quickly.However when it came to communication to the landlord, Portico were terrible and took weeks and sometimes months to get an answer back from the landlord. What is the point of a management company if they cannot get answers from the landlord. Awful customer service, leaving us in the dark for weeks and months regarding repairs. We were left with a broken window, broken oven and broken washing machine through the Summer. This included 2 heatwaves meaning we could not open our bedroom window and ventilate the property, and into Autumn this started causing mould growth to build up around the window. Portico said they offered options to the landlord but they refused, however we were expecting more from a management company and would assume they would have a contract with the landlord to provide a reasonable and safe accommodation for us as tenants. We were passed around 3 or 4 different people in the management team, taking weeks of us having to re-report the issues.All in all I would never recommend portico. We are still waiting on our security deposit back.
