Untrustworthy and incompetent

Really poor service all round. I have, thankfully, now moved out of their property. But, if you are unfortunate enough to be about to start renting from these estate agents, be aware of the numerous dodgy practices they will attempt.They will firstly pressure you into signing a "no-deposit scheme" in order to secure your property. Which although it would be illegal to outright force you, they make it abundantly clear that you will not get the property unless you sign up for this £60 a month charge. If you attempt to request a conventional deposit, as you are legally entitled, they will tell you this is likely to be a dealbreaker for the landlord who will look to the next applicant. Now, purely coincidentally I'm sure, they receive a large cut of this monthly premium for each unfortunate tenant they successfully refer.Additionally throughout the process you will be pressured into signing up for, Portico sourced, contents insurance. They will be deliberately vague in specifying whether you are legally obligated to sign up (you are not). Going so far as to state that the landlord is insisting upon it (despite it making no conceivable difference to them). Now weirdly, they also get a cut of this money. But I'm sure that's not a factor in why they attempt to pressure you into another needless expense. They must just be concerned for the safety of your possessions in their overpriced properties...They will also demand from you completely ridiculous amounts of personal information, which I have never been asked for before or since.Add to this that they are completely disorganised, uncommunicative, consistently slow to address maintenance issues and generally incompetent and you are left with a pretty dreadful experience. Best avoided if at all possible.

The sale was complex and complicated

The sale was complex and complicated. It spread out over two years, whereby buyers were ill and dropped out, or buyers fell away for other technical reasons. The guys were totally professional and persevered. 100% top marks to Samuel, Densel, and finally assisted by Irene. I would recommend these guys without a doubt.

We have been having a very poor service…

We have been having a very poor service throughout the 7 years we have been renting our flat in Highbury.Whenever we had a problem we had to wait many days before they replied and took any action.Most of the times we had to address directly the owner who could step in and unblock the situations.At the present moment , we are experiencing a huge delay in the return of our deposit:after one month since we left the property we do not know yet when the founds should hit our account.

Professional, organised and helpful. I approached Portico after a disastrous experience with a different Leyton Letting agent. Billy from Portico, Leyton supported me through a complete renovation of the property, holding the keys to give work people access and ensuring the work was done to a high standard. They advertised the property, organised the viewings and vetted the prospective tenants. I was kept informed throughout. I recommend their service.

Worst property agency ! Irresponsible and not helpful at all 1.Erick promised to have the bed removed before I move in last year and it was done only 1 months after I moved into the flat 2. The kitchen sink pipe was blocked , water all over the floor for 2 weeks( happened twice ) , property manager Anthony delayed repair arrangement with British Gas service 3. fridge broken down for almost 3 months during this hot summer time and only got it sorted after 3 months . Anthony Never response on compensation that I asked for Won’t recommend to anyone! Be careful that They will ask you to write you a good review !

I stated I hadn’t heard from them regarding my valuation. The branch called finally called and he was a little hostile. He said that Guy had left the company. Very odd.
