Nextmove managed to sell my house and help me find the ideal flat to downsize. Throughout the process Richard was positive without being naive, kept in close touch and effectively made both sales happen to my advantage. He knows the area well and gives realistic valuations. I’ve been renting in London for twelve years and my experience with Sean and Right Move has without a doubt been the most pleasant and straightforward with an estate agent. Sean is friendly, personable and helpful, and has assisted and supported my partner and I throughout gaining our new flat. I often find London estate agents treat you as disposable and unimportant even though you’re trying to find something as important as your new home. This isn’t the case with Sean. I feel like he genuinely cared about us getting the right place and was there to make it happen. I feel very reassured and in the future, I would use Next Move again.

I have been renting 2 properties through Next Move for many years now and have always been very happy with my experience. They have always successfully found good new tenants for me at decent rates and offered sensible advice. Over the years they, and particularly Sean, have been really supportive to me about many other matters, as I manage the property myself once rented out. I have often called them for advice on certain issues related to renting, they have always kept keys for workmen to collect as I live the other side of the city, and have even gone out of their way to go over to the flat for me to help in emergency situations. Whenever we had problems with the flat, they would respond quickly - usually they would respond the next day or in two days to address the problem - and would have the repairmen come as soon as possible. Though, earlier during our tenancy they had used an online portal to collect complaints for maintenance but then stopped using it without us being aware of it. I think this would be an area that can improved. Otherwise, Sean has been really lovely and friendly to my friends and I.

I have known NextMove for many years, having bought and sold previous properties with them and most recently with the sale of my Stoke Newington house of 20+ years, in what is a difficult market. NextMove offer a more relaxed approach to the housing market whilst offering a lot of local knowledge and expertise, making you feel at ease throughout the buying or selling process. Avoid at all costs. Everyone we’ve had to deal with from NextMove has been unprofessional, aggressive and rude. Questions were always met with either hostility or complete silence. Abdul was particularly nasty to deal with. The agency failed to provide us our deposit protection certificate, and quietly tried to deduct our deposit for “professional cleaning”, which was not in our agreement. When we tried to dispute and asked evidence and justification, we didn’t get a response for nearly a month after moving out. It’s particularly sketchy that within 24 hours of threatening legal actions, we received our deposit back in full. Stay away from NextMove if you’re a tenant looking. If you’re already in an agreement, they will try to threaten and scam you out of your deposit. Do not let them! Edit: I see a lot of tenants in the reviews not getting their deposit back so I wanted to clarify on my experience. When we moved in we did not receive the deposit scheme certificate (we didn't know, first time renter in London/UK). So in the final correspondence to NextMove, we asked for the deposit scheme paperwork and threatened legal actions if either we didn't get our deposit refund OR the paperwork. We got our deposit back within 24 hours.

Deposit is 1100 pound they don’t even answer to the mail , try to deduct 300 pound from my deposit from a mattress that I bought , deducting from the deposit that I never received back 210 pound for cleaning the flat that was full of mould . I just cannot praise this company enough. They’ve managed my property for about 12/13 years and as a lettings company they are OUTSTANDING. They also sold my flat for me and as we went through many ups and downs throughout the selling process they were stand down AMAZING, professional, kind, helpful and never failed to support me. I can’t recommend this estate agent highly enough. We have not had a good experience with other estate agents we have used in the past but Next Move was really excellent on our sale and purchase. We were working with a difficult market and when the stars aligned, various issues in the chain, but Richard navigated all of that brilliantly and kept the sale on track. He really held the whole transaction together. He and the sales team were responsive and available whenever we needed to speak to them and we felt we could trust them throughout the process. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.
