When the history of London property gets written, we'd definitely like to be seen as the early visionaries of co-living, the first to really "get it right". Landlords We’re not an estate agency, but we are lettings experts. The basic model is simple enough: we lease a property from a landlord on a 3 to 5-year agreement, and then we rent out the rooms to working professionals. We do all the hard work so the landlord doesn't have to. Tenants For tenants, it's a new-and-improved "2.0" version of communal London living. For instance, all of our properties have flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi, and we send a cleaner every week. For professionals wanting to make their mark in London, it takes away a lot of hassle to not have to sit around the kitchen table figuring out who owes what for the heating.

GoogleI needed a place in London for a couple of months and finding a good place, where you want that is not overly expensive can be arduous task in the capital. However, London Shared made it all very seamless and found me a very nice room in a house in Chiswick, conveniently located for many things and a couple of tube stops from Richmond, which is one of my favourite surrounding places. The on-boarding process was super-efficient and everything was done online and paperless. Within a day, I had picked up my keys and had settled in my new place. I enjoyed my stay and London Shared were always very professional, amiable and responsive to any needs. Most things were clarified upfront, but what I also appreciated was the personal touch where ambiguous matters could be discussed with the arrival to a common understanding. The only cons I would say is that communication amongst the housemates themselves was not always that effective since we really didn't know each other that well nor got much time to interact. This was at times awkward, as in any house you live with other people, there are going to be issues which you need to deal with as a group. Cleaning and noise are probably the two most common issues and that was the case here as well. The house was immaculate after the weekly cleaner left, but within a couple of days that was no longer the case. It would be harsh to place this on London Shared, but perhaps if they could find a way to facilitate regular house communication and not assume that strangers are going to be able to deal with communal issues among themselves then that would certainly be a welcome improvement. All in all, my testament to the service is that should I need to rent shared accomodation in London again, London Shared would be my first port of call.

GoogleHaving lived in shared accomodation in my early twenties for private landlords it's been a far better experience this time round when I needed a room while waiting to buy a property. Highly recommend London Shared and the team including Tim, Kim, and Katherine who have been helpful, consistent and available throughout my stay. Examples including swift fixing of issues, fixtures etc as well as superb flexibility on moving in and out dates. For any professional who doesn't want to waste time with unkown quantities such as private landlords or sharing with owner-occupying landlords I would highly recommend going with London Shared. Truly decent bunch delivering a great service.

FacebookLaura from London Shared was very organised, efficient and personable. She instructed us on all the steps we needed to take in order to get our house ready for tenants and was happy to finalise everything for us when we left for Australia. Now we are dealing with Sam and Lize who are in charge of maintenance etc, and they are equally as efficient and we feel our property is in excellent hands.
