I dislike writing negative reviews, but I feel a responsibility to share my experience with KFH Lettings to inform others. From the outset, the approach was troubling. During negotiations, I was told, “the landlady likes to win” a comment that struck me as both unprofessional and oddly performative. It seemed more about the agent’s ego than the client’s interests. When I eventually found a suitable property, the process quickly deteriorated into a series of administrative missteps: 1. I was initially sent incorrect forms, requiring me to redo the application entirely. 2. I was then given a marked-up lease agreement to sign, only for a revised “final” version to follow, necessitating another round of review and signatures. 3. Per the lease, I set up a direct debit to pay rent into KFH’s account, only to be instructed later to pay the landlord directly. I complied but unfortunately forgot to cancel the original direct debit, resulting in a duplicate payment. I contacted KFH immediately to rectify the error and was assured via email that a refund would be processed within 3-5 days. However, by the 6th day I was informed that the funds had instead been appropriated to cover their letting fee, with the remainder forwarded to the landlord, without prior notice and in direct contradiction to their initial assurance. When I raised a formal complaint, the response was wholly unsatisfactory. The Clapham branch adopted a dismissive tone, implying the fault was mine and that any resolution would be between myself and the landlord. This attitude, condescending and devoid of accountability persisted even when I escalated the matter to KFH’s operations manager, who echoed the same unhelpful stance: that the company would not return the funds until the landlord had repaid them. I reminded them after seeking legal advice that the money in question was not theirs to withhold. Nevertheless, it took nearly three weeks, countless emails, and persistent follow-up before the refund was finally issued on May 19th. As the director of my own company, I found this entire episode deeply concerning not just for the poor management, but for the culture it revealed. There was consistent deflection of responsibility, blame placed on an “automated system,” and a repeated insinuation that I should have avoided this issue by remembering to cancel the direct debit. Frankly, I worry how a more vulnerable tenant such as an elderly individual or someone without legal support might have navigated this situation. KFH would do well to reflect on this incident, retrain their staff in the fundamentals of customer service and professional conduct, and adopt a more empathetic, service-oriented ethos. Efficiency, integrity, and humility are not optional in this industry, they are essential.

These guys did a great job selling my property in Streatham Hill at a difficult period in the market when interest rates had sharply risen just after we had put it on for sale. It was actually put on sale by the Streatham Hill branch but Alistair Gooding from the Clapham office had a potential buyer who was looking in the Clapham area and he suggested that he come to look at my property. The buyer liked the property and made an offer which I accepted. During the buying process the buyer disappeared a few times and even dropped out towards the end of the process and asked to renegotiate but Alistair managed the situation very well and the sale completed yesterday. I would recommend Alistair and his colleagues to anyone. They are professional, trustworthy and they have a a great vibe in the office too. Very good job

We had an overall excellent experience with KFH in Clapham. We first met with Gurdeep Gohler, who gave us a valuation on our house. We ultimately decided to go with another estate agent who valued it at significantly more. We have no regrets on this decision, but it would transpire Gurdeep was proved right on his valuation.
