Terrible, terrible, terrible.John D Wood Richmond Branch is a nightmare. They are trying to charge for the damages which they were before the tenancy started. Although the first inspection report clearly proves that the damages were there before we enter the house, they still keep trying to charge it.For your sake, I strongly recommend you avoid them.

GoogleWilliam has been fantastic. He went above and beyond what we could have expected from an estate agent. We spoke with a few other members of staff at the office and all were equally as friendly and helpful. We would definitely use the team again in the future and recommend the office to anyone looking to buy in the area. Thanks again for everyone's hard work!

GoogleMade an appointment to view 6 properties, the agent showing us around did not verify this with any of the current tenants and he failed to mention this to me until i turned up to the appointment. We were able to see one out of six properties and then we had to leave suddenly as the current tenant was in the shower! complete waste of a morning and his only excuse was that he didnt write anything down! I re-arranged the appointment for later in the week, when i turned up to this appointment he hadn't arranged picking up any keys and i saw no properties. again he did not apologise but blamed me for wanting to come after work and during my work day. Absolutely awful service, awful company and incompetent staff

We do not have a record of anyone registered as a potential tenant with your name on our database, and also we have not had a male member of lettings staff since the end of May. While it may work for some, I found the approach and behaviour of the Wandsworth JDW sales team truly abhorrent. Their wrongdoings range from the way they spoke to my husband and I right through to their sales and negotiation tactics. They frequently made (incorrect) assumptions and comments about our lifestyle and finances and throughout the purchase tried to belittle and patronise us so we followed their instructions rather than listened to our solicitor. They nothing short of used intimidation tactics and baseless threats to make us jump for their every wish. They lied in the details of selling the house, both in writing and verbally; accepted offers but broke the terms of the offers with no communication or regard that this was incorrect behaviour; and when we were finally at the end of negotiations and all paperwork ready to exchange and complete, they started upon new tales and demands trying to threaten the chain breaking if we did not comply. We’ve fed back directly to the agents involved and while sales behaviours are a common part of society, we both felt this was way over the line of acceptable behaviour. In this area of London, with this amount of money being spent in such a lovely community and neighbourhood, my husband and I were truly appalled by their style and have never come across other agents like it. We won’t be using them in the future and sadly, even if it is just this branch, our trust in the whole JDW organisation has been tainted by this truly stressful and frankly bullying experience. I can only hope our feedback is considered and agents reflect upon their handling so they do not continue to treat people this way.

As a landlord, I cannot recommend this agency. They have high staff turnover, are extremely disorganized, blatantly mis-inform, and oversee shoddy maintenance. The experience from the POV of the tenant seems to be just as poor. The sales team blatantly over-promises, then the landlord is left trying to understand why they are on the hook for things they explicitly did not agree to. Really a horrible experience all around.

2 times they have been to appraise my house and i never hear anything back. On the second occasion i mentioned my first experience and got told it wouldn't happen again. it did. They then contacted me a 3rd time for an appraisal. DO NOT USE.
