As a landlord, the Lettings Support team at the Docklands & City branch genuinely exceeded my expectations. Bryan Norton Crail in particular was brilliant in a) securing a buildings insurance claim for a leaking pipe and b) holding the management company to account and getting them to accept responsibility.

GoogleReally had a poor experience when recently dealing with this office on Abbeville Road. I called in asking about a property and was dealt with by someone who clearly didn't know anything about the area and even less about the property I enquired about. They then tried to bully me into viewing it and were thoroughly unprofessional from start to finish. I would give them a wide steer if you are considering using them. They fulfill the typical stereotype of an estate agent who knows little but acts like they are experts. Big disappointment.

GoogleWe recently purchased a house listed by John D Wood in Clapham and had the absolute pleasure of working with Charley McOwen. As first time buyers, we had a lot of questions and Charley guided us through the buying process seamlessly. She demonstrated her work ethic and consistently went above and beyond for us (even reading our extremely detailed survey to help us digest the information), arranging additional viewings to measure the space, working with the vendor to secure items to come with the house, and contacting our solicitor to ensure the process moved at a timely pace. She was consistently very reachable, attentive, thorough, and demonstrated a VERY high level of knowledge. We would highly recommended working with her.

Charley took a real interest in what we were looking for, patiently introduced and arranged viewings on a number of properties, kept us abreast of the market throughout our search process and very delicately managed dealings with all relevant stakeholders. GoogleWe are first time buyers looking to buy in the Clapham area and had been to a number of property viewings over the course of 7 months. On our first viewing with Charley from JDW we knew from the get go that JDW provided a different, much higher calibre service compared to the other local estate agents we had dealt with. We were deeply impressed with the knowledge Charley had of the property and area, as well as the market more generally. Not only this but JDW has continued to support us throughout the process, from our first viewing to Exchange, they have facilitated the process to ensure both ourselves and the seller got the best result. Charley in particular has been incredibly responsive and has gone the extra mile to get a result for her client and us the buyers. We would recommend JDW to anyone purchasing in the Clapham area.

It’s so refreshing to work with agents that really care about the entire letting process & not just getting the contract signed! GoogleWe met Simon who was very helpful and responsive all the time at JDW. He was very patient with all our queries and provided us with a lot of useful advices. It was a rush for us to find a place to rent but Simon understood our requirements and budget well, and, helped us to find a very nice place in just a week. The Battersea Team were brilliant to deal with in the sale of our property. Fred in particular was fantastic to deal with throughout the sale process. As we were immigrating to New Zealand during the sale process and had departed the UK after accepting an offer but before exchange of contracts, Fred was exceptional with providing feedback and assisting us when opposite time zones were a challenge. I would have no hesitation recommending John D Wood to other sellers in Battersea and a big thanks to Fred for all his help!

To describe the agents of the Wandsworth branch of John D Wood as 'incompetent' is to do that word a disservice. Their inability to do even the most basic elements of their job would be hysterically funny if you were not the one to bear the brunt of their idiocy. From the moment I moved in as a tenant to when landlord sold the house, any interaction with John D Wood would leave me agog at how utterly useless and unnecessarily aggressive they were at their jobs. They treated us tenants as though we were pests and an annoying inconvenience. Their bias towards our landlord wasn't hidden, and we were lucky that we had a good relationship with him that CCing him into our communications with John D Wood would lead to a solution to whatever we were trying to sort out. They surpassed themselves in incompetency when our landlord sold our house. "24 hours notice for viewings? Nah, we'll just turn up with interested buyers when we want." I came home early from work one day to find viewers ALONE IN THE HOUSE who said that the agent had "just left". Said agent also insisted that we allow the eventual buyers bring their family around on a day to view that we had said multiple times that we could not accommodate, making a viewing appointment and not turning up to the viewing, leaving me to deal with the frustrated would-be viewers. But a standout communication from this agent was when we emailed our concerns about potentially not being able to move should a national lockdown occur and being told that we were "being unnecessarily hysterical" and being "ensnared by media speculation". Upon that, we decided to leave sooner than we had planned, which turned out to be a couple of days before lockdown happened.There is also no internal communication between agents and a lot of buck-passing from what I can gather. TL;DR John D Wood's agents are incompetent, useless at their jobs, aggressive and dismissive to tenants, will not reply to communications from tenants, but will harass tenants almost hourly if they want something done "ASAP". Avoid at all costs if you are looking to rent, and be wary if you are a landlord/looking to sell.

I'd like to thank the whole team at John D Wood in South Kensington and in particular Umar and Angelo for introducing a buyer and working together with all parties (solicitors, managing agents, freeholders, buyer and vendor) in a friendly, personalised and dedicated way from start to finish. Although the whole process - from offer and sales memorandum till exchange of contracts and completion of the sale at the agreed price - took approximately 12 weeks, Umar and Angelo have always kept me informed of every single step towards achieving a successful sale. It was often just a text or quick phone call - even on a Sunday - which kept me motivated throughout the process. I believe that with John D Wood I have been in very good hands and would therefore highly recommend them.

We have recently had to move during COVID. It was incredibly stressful and made worse when we found ourselves unable to access our deposit back through no fault of our own. At first I was not happy with the responses I was getting until Rupert Simmonds stepped in. He went above and beyond to cut through red tape and help us to get our deposit back in full. Rupert is a credit to John D Wood!

Really bad when it comes to services. My deposit is stuck with them for more than 2 months. Always some lame excuse for not paying back. There is an property manager named Moesha, who will never address any query but will just be harsh I hope to give below 1 star but that the least i can go.

Claire has been excellent in helping us find a rental properly from abroad. She was super flexible with our requirements and timing and always kept us in the loop once we found the property. She did an extra video viewing and asked many questions to current tenants on our behalf. I would highly recommend Claire and her team and if were to rent again would definitely use them!

I have a property which is fully managed by JohnDWoods , they couldn't renew my contract due to sick leave of their employee , they cant solve my problem I have to reach to tenant by myself and trying to solve the issues , 20 days pasts the contract end date .
