as u all know that some people are new to uk so we are new to uk and we contact this agency for letting they used to show us a home and we submitted all the documents at the end they said that we will not give home to u and we deposited 600 pounds and we did not get the deposit back this is the worst experience we had with this agency and if any contacting this agency do not connect with them.

TrustpilotSandra McCrae
Sandra McCrae - leaving a tenancy is never easy but leaving one under harder stressful circumstances was made easier with the clear and courteous communication from Sandra. Sandra has been so helpful and so kind and I appreciate how much she did to help myself.

Trustpilotwe've got very negative experience as tenants, the agent was lying to us, causing us quite a lot of anxiety.
TLDR: we've got very negative experience as tenants, the agent was lying to us, causing us quite a lot of anxiety. After reference check, and accepted offer, the landlords kept delaying signing the contract for over 3 weeks. The agent (Evelyn Aragundi) communicated to us that there are no reasons for the delay, and motivated the delay with very interesting arguments "so we have everything confirmed", "they are really relaxed personalities", "they're currently travelling,", "they're very busy people", "there's no reason for this as such, I mean it's not like they're unsure". After some very involved week, we've got an email from a manager (James White) of the agent saying that "date was a bit vague until a more conclusive timeframe was confirmed".That clearly demonstrated that agent lied to us, stating that "so we have everything confirmed" while it was not. We wont make an offer in the first place, if we knew that. Worst of all, during the process we've seen no intention to clearly comunicate situation to us, and no intention to find a solution that would work for both parties.

TrustpilotVery helpful!
Just moved into our new home and had some issues we needed help with. Emma Martin, Senior Property Manager, was very helpful, prompt and we were impressed with how quickly and efficiently Emma was able to help us get things sorted. Great and clear communication. Very grateful.

TrustpilotDISGUSTING
In my opinion, Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross branches threw mud at the wall with our viewings and evidently failed to familiarise themselves with basic details of our property. I discussed terminating contracts with the GX manager, Andrew Riley, (below) after just a few weeks. In my opinion, he spoke inappropriately of the Beaconsfield branch management and I felt he begged me to move to his branch in GX. I found their comments to be racist and sexist. They searched for a key in our house that they had not been given and left the external door unlocked with this key in. They seemed somewhat inconvenienced that I held matters briefly whilst a my Dad was ill and I felt aggressively pursued whilst grieving. I raised a formal complaint to the GX manager (below) branch which he failed to acknowledge directly and passed to HQ. The response I felt was unreasonable and there was no offer to appeal the decision. On calling HQ 'customer care' I was told that was the end of the line and would not offer a name for appeal to be addressed to. They provided my personal data to a debt collector without even having sent an invoice? For me, it was an unnecessary and painful experience and it seems they are ruthlessly numb to recognise the issues. Without recognition there can be not acceptance or improvements. Just wanted to share my opinion and hopefully prevent anyone else feeling the way I felt from my Hamptons experience.

Ellie Marsters is a Property Manager at Hamptons. She is in a league of her own, when it comes to responsiveness, taking accountability to get things done and being engaged with both the tenant and landlord. Having had some experience with other Property Managers in other companies, I would recommend anyone to seek out the services of Ellie at Hamptons.

TrustpilotShort-term rental of property
Hamptons managed a 12-month rental of my property whilst I was abroad. From the first meeting with Andrew who visited my property intially, it was a pleasure dealing with them. They were clear, prompt to reply to questions and very helpful on the whole process which put my mind at rest - especially as I was not going to be in the country! The daily management with Minneaux and then Natalie could not have been better and nothing was too much trouble.I thank them for their professional attitude and helpful manner and would recommend their service without hesitation.

TrustpilotTerrible
Sometimes beautiful flats or houses are in the hands of terrible agents; be careful! As tenants, they only come to you when they need you to do something. You can hardly contact any of them when you are looking for help. The renting agent ghosted after all documentation was done, leaving me a flat with much to fix. When moving out, they were supposed to contact me in advance for at least 24 hours, but most did not. They told me the people I hired for end-of-tenancy cleaning were not professionals (because I wasn't using one of their business partners) and had the inventory clerk go in before the cleaning was done; they allowed people to move around your items when they were doing the viewing.

TrustpilotSo far, no complaints
We have been tenants in a flat managed by Hamptons and have been very happy with the service that they - Ellie Marsters in particular - have provided thus far. Ellie is very responsive, well-organized and professional. Worth saying that we have not gotten to the deposit withdrawal phase, which several reviews complain about. But, so far, so good.

TrustpilotFantastic service
Fantastic service. At every stage we have had nothing but the best from them. A particular shout out to Trevor Scott. Having moved into the property he has been a fantastic property manager who seems to genuinely care that his clients get the best possible service. Always quick to respond and proactive in addressing any concerns. Couldn’t ask for better service. A world away from previous experiences. Highly recommended

Sharon James is a fantastic Lettings Agent. She dealt with an incredibly fast turn around on my property in Hampshire and has now let the same property twice. She goes above and beyond in her service and I could not recommend her nor Hamptons more. Thank you.

TrustpilotTook fees and ran
Hamptons successfully one time rented out our thames riverside home near Windsor. However, once they had their money, the service disappeared. The after sales team is very junior, inexperienced and not able to manage the tenants they place into the high cost home. Our house and furniture was damaged, a deposit refund was due, but Hamptons totally failed to get my damages paid and effectively ran away. Steer clear would be my advice.

TrustpilotEndless spamming after just one viewing
I’ve booked one viewing with Hamptons and have been spammed ever since. I never signed up for their mailing list, and have repeatedyl unsubscribed but keep receiving their mails. I have even emailed them to request that they remove my details from their data base, and I’ve called, but I simply receive no response or actions. I will be reporting them as this is a GDPR violation.

TrustpilotAt the verge of no-go zone
We rented with Hamptons in March 2022. Overall, they are very professional all the way through, but the organization itself is very inefficient.Pre-rent: They are implementing a referencing technology called "safekey" - total disaster. The tech was good, but the implementation was a circus show. We submitted the application at least 5 times, went back and forth multiple times due to some system bugs. The landlord referencing was a nightmare if you were renting with a private landlord before. All those crap that can be done within hours in other agencies took us almost 2 weeks. Our agent - a friendly guy named Isaac, I feel sad for him as most of the time he was clueless as to what was going on and "stick to the company policy" guy, not his fault though, just not particularly useful.Post-rent: Like any other agency, they took super long to respond to your problem after you made the payment. They also didn't take the effort to make sure all the little details were taken care of before we moved in. We only had 1 key for 2 people (..?) citing the other one was coming, still haven't got it after 2 weeks moving in, there were some random metal pieces left in the living room from the previous tenant, the window blind was missing, the wardrobe was missing, heater wasn't working etc.. Their job was to make sure the place is live-able, whether it is in place, that's your problem. That said, they are still contact-able though, this lady named Charlie who works as a property manager is super nice, she helped in her best way possible and turnaround time was quick. Although we still haven't got any issue resolved after 2 weeks moving in, I guess it's the effort that counts..?In short, I wouldn't recommend Hamptons to any of my friends. A lot of unnecessary maneuvers to meet their "company policy" and in the end the service we got wasn't even worth it. If you have nothing to do all day than to re-submit your safekey application multiple times or go to the other side of the London TWICE to do the exact same thing, be my guest. Otherwise, those small estate agents might actually do a better job than them in terms of flexibility and efficiency in attending your issues. P/s: They also have quite a number of human errors (forgot to copy the back of our identity card so we'd have to take another bus back to the office to re-submit, passed us the wrong keys, told us the wrong address etc), not a deal breaker but better to have it avoided.

TrustpilotNo hot water for 3 weeks!!
No hot water for 3 weeks!!The level of urgency in Hamptons is shambolic. We have been without hot water for 3 weeks now and seem to be no closer to a resolution.Hamptons only hire cheap contractors, who attend your property and leave within 2 minute as they have no clue what they are doing. The level of communication from Hamptons is arguably non existent. All we do is chase and chase and get nowhere. As long as the landlord get their rent paid, nothing else matters. Absolute shambles of a company.
