We cannot speak highly enough of the entire team at Hamptons. From the very moment we first considered selling, we were impressed. Nicky’s professionalism was immediately apparent when she provided a house and rental valuation - she gave us the time and space to make our own decision without ever being pushy. When we finally decided to sell, she was efficient and made us feel very well cared for. Throughout the entire sale process, Debbie and Mark were a constant source of positivity and reassurance. Selling my flat was a stressful experience, but their regular updates after each viewing, and their warm, friendly attitude made us feel completely at ease. They never wavered even after a sale fell through, and this reassurance was exactly what we needed. We had absolute confidence that we were in the right hands. We also ended up buying a house through Hamptons. As a young couple, we often weren’t taken seriously by other estate agents, but never once felt that way with Hamptons. They gave us space to make our decision and never once pressured us which was a refreshing and welcomed change. The entire transaction was a complicated one, with multiple parties in the chain and countless curveballs thrown our way. Debbie handled every obstacle with an extraordinary level of patience, professionalism and grace. She was extremely pragmatic, reliable, and remained a lovely and supportive presence throughout. We honestly believe that with any other agent our chain would’ve broken under the pressure, but Debbie’s expertise and dedication kept it all together. We can’t thanks Debbie and the entire Hamptons team (Mark, Nicky, Michelle & others) enough for everything they have done for us. I used Hamptons Lettings and then later Sellings, both at the Whetstone office.. The Lettings Team at Whetstone were very good in all respects, especially when problems arose with a dishonest and awkward tenant. The centralised (ie, not the Whetstone office) property management staff did seem to change a lot, which was tricky to keep track of at times, but it wasn’t a problem. The management staff were very helpful with organising visits from plumbers etc, and the accounts person (Emma) was always most polite and helpful when I was querying statements, etc. The My Hamptons portal is useful too, as you can see all the documents, past statements, visit information, etc, all in one place. When I eventually decided to sell up, the Selling team (Nicky, Steven, Mark, Michelle, Mariana - forgive me if I’ve missed anyone) were excellent throughout the whole process. They valued the flat correctly, gave helpful feedback throughout the process, and after an offer was accepted, it took only about a month to exchange/complete which is very quick. They work as a team, so when you ring up it doesn’t really matter who you speak to because they all know what’s going on. Special thanks to Steven & Mark, as they were particularly involved with my particular flat sale.

A different Hamptons branch handled the sale of my previous home and they were excellent throughout. Unfortunately, my experience with the Totteridge branch, during the purchase of my new property, was the opposite. In particular, my dealings with Debbie, who represented the sellers, were consistently unpleasant. Her manner came across as unnecessarily antagonistic and condescending, which felt both disingenuous and insulting. It’s disappointing because it does not reflect the high standards I’ve experienced elsewhere within the Hamptons network. Based on this interaction, I would not choose to instruct the Totteridge branch.

I recently sold my flat through Hamptons and found the whole service excellent. From my initial meeting with Nicola who was warm yet professional, i knew i was in good hands. The whole team were really on the ball with everything, and communication was easy and seamless. I was quite emotional about selling my flat as i have been very happy there and was quite attached, but the whole sale was handled very well, even when things got a bit stressful towards the end i felt the team had my back throughout, and Debbie was comforting, helpful and always returned my calls quickly when i needed to speak to her. I also got a great price on my flat, other agents had valued it at a lower price but it is a fantastic home and i knew it was worth way more. Hamptons really delivered and i highly recommend them. Being a first time buyer I was nervous going into the process but from the moment we contacted Hamptons to arrange a viewing the team was a delight to work with. I believe estate agents are given a bad rep as Mark was honest and helped manage our expectations from the get go giving us guidance throughout. During the entire process Mark stayed in constant contact touching base weekly with us (I will miss our calls) and the vendor which made the process a less anxious experience than I thought it would be. Mark even saved the day (and our future home) when we had a problem with our mortgage offer and he put us in contact with a mortgage advisor who was able to smooth everything out. We have now been in our new home for a week and will be eternally grateful to Hamptons Whetstone, especially Mark.

We were relocating from SW London to Whetstone, and Hamptons were marvellous throughout: Dedicated, caring, thorough, practical and focused, everything you could want in a buyer's estate agent. Mark, our main agent, was brilliant: Caring, witty, insightful, and supportively proactive at all the key moments. One felt he "got" us and that was so important. He has the personal touch, and this makes all the difference during a big, sensitive move. Nothing seemed too much for him, and he'd always go the extra mile. The other staff members who assisted at Hamptons were always terrific. Tasked with finding the right estate agent to market and sell my parents' house I met six agents, but for a variety of reasons I couldn't settle on any of them. Then I met Nicky at Hamptons and instantly felt she offered the professionalism and support I'd need. It wasn't because she gave the highest valuation of the house. On the contrary, Nicky's valuation was actually the lowest (but as events proved, the most realistic). But at that first meeting I felt she knew the local market inside out, and possessed the well-honed instincts that only deep experience can bring. Some people just radiate "trust me, I know EXACTLY what I'm doing". I assumed her team must be similarly great, and I was right. Everyone seemed to have a hand in the process, but Mark took the lead and was exceptional in both his constant communication (no detail of the process was too small to pass on to me), and his counsel whenever we encountered a wobble or needed advice. And from everyone at Hamptons, warmth and humour to make a tricky process a little easier. To anyone looking for the right estate agent to help you buy or sell, you'll find them at Hamptons in Whetstone. Like many other reviewers here, I can't recommend the team highly enough.
