Working with Tehreen was exceptional. From the very beginning, she promised to support me through the whole process, and she genuinely delivered. She regularly took my calls and made calls to me, never making me feel like a burden. There were moments when I wasn’t sure what to do next, but she always gave me well‑researched information that helped me make confident decisions. Her motivation and encouragement came exactly when I needed them. She’s enthusiastic, easy to talk to, and her personality is honestly infectious. Whether it was arranging viewings or handling any complaints that cropped up along the way, she dealt with everything professionally and with real care. I couldn’t have asked for better service, truly creditable from start to finish. I’d recommend her to anyone wanting someone who actually stands by their word. Foxtons is fortunate to have such a dedicated professional on their team.

He has kept us informed of how we are progressing the whole way through and stepped in to help with moving the transaction along swiftly. Called in and enquired about a rental property, I asked questions and gave the floor to the lady on the line to add any extra important detail I may need before I give her my details to sort a viewing out. After all my details were given to her she then said the property isn’t up for rent for a HMO. Surely this should have been made clear from the start especially when I asked her if there’s anything I should know about the property??? I told her this and she got very defensive. Just wasted my time and they now just have my details sitting in their system for no reason. Also before this, I asked her about what sort of referencing will be done as every agency is different. She only listed two standard things and couldn’t recall the rest?? Shouldn’t you know what referencing the company will do, even if it’s not directly done by Foxtons. Not a great impression from Foxtons to be honest. Quality is sub par on the phone and quite lazy. I can’t imagine how actually dealing with them with a property will be. Well the bad reviews tell me.

I was buying a property and Donald was the contact at Foxtons for the sale. He was very helpful throughout, particularly at the beginning with helping to source some documents quickly so I could make a rapid offer, and at the end with chasing up some solicitors so we could get the sale over the line. He was accessible, friendly and helpful throughout the process.

At the early stages of looking for a property, we sign up with different agencies. No one was really interested, but Foxtons, actually Donald, was fantastic. Kept us updated and was looking out for us. We needed something within the catchment area of the school my daughter wanted to go to and he found something for us. Foxtons are a joke. Firstly, our house was incredibly dirty when we first moved in, not what you're expected on the arrival to your new home. We were then promised a cleaning service, but never received one but they charged the previous tenants £250, pocketing the previous tenants deposit but never cleaning our house. We then had no inventory, and I asked many times over phone and email (even in person) and still they never sent out an inventory. They have now updated on our portal (a year later) an inventory document which is said to have been created last year. Which is a lie. Our boiler and oven broke over the Christmas period, and because Foxtons are so disorganised we couldn't get through to any of the services they provided on their answer phone (they love the answer phone because they never seem to pick up). So I outsourced someone to repair our oven in time for Christmas and paid myself, hoping to be reimbursed by Foxtons. Sadly not, they never replied to me. During the winter months, we were battling a temperamental boiler which kept breaking. The radiator in my room didn't work for the whole winter and Foxtons kept ignoring our request for a new boiler because we were living with no heating or hot water for months. Finally, towards the end of the cold winter months, Foxtons finally agreed to organise a new boiler installation. On top of all this, they are now increasing our rent after our house wasn't working properly for half a year. J O K E :)

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Foxtons which caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress. We were due to move into a rental property that we had already signed for and paid money towards. However, just two weeks before our move-out date we were suddenly told that the property would no longer be available because the landlord did not actually have the right to let the flat. This was incredibly frustrating, but we tried to move forward and quickly find another property with very limited time left before we had to leave our current home. We eventually found another flat through Foxtons but were unable to view it due to the time pressure. Despite this, we transferred the money and signed the contract. The very next day we were given more bad news, the landlord had changed her mind and decided to accept another offer, even though we had already signed and paid. What made this situation even worse was the lack of communication and support from Foxtons. It did not feel like our situation was properly explained to the landlord, despite the fact that we were now facing the possibility of having nowhere to live through no fault of our own. This entire process was extremely stressful and exhausting. We repeatedly transferred money, signed documents multiple times, and dealt with constant uncertainty. It also significantly disrupted my work at university which I had been working very hard on. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of empathy and communication throughout the process, no one even apologised for what happened. This was particularly upsetting as this was our fourth flat through Foxtons, and I previously recommended them to many people. Unfortunately, after this experience I will no longer be doing so. I have never written a complaint about a company before, but this was genuinely one of the most stressful situations I have ever been put in. Very disappointing.

They are pleasant and charming whenever they want you to sign a contract with them. However, when our contract ended, they attempted to charge us over £500 for trivial repairs, most of which were due to the poor ventilation of the flat. Despite refusing to pay multiple times, we ultimately didn’t have to pay anything, as they were not entitled to charge us for those repairs. They also behaved unprofessionally when arranging viewings and final visits, and they altered the concepts and amounts of the fees to be paid multiple times. We ended up dealing with the letting manager, who was one of the rudest individuals we’ve encountered

As a tenant avoid at all costs!! After securing a tenancy from Foxtons and paying deposit and first months rent to them, it turns out they incorrectly advertised the move in date online and in all communication by a margin of two and a half weeks, when they made us aware of the admin error they offered no alternative accommodation, or compensation, saying it’s not their responsibility to help as only we signed the contact and not the landlord? ED foxtons management then asked if we could stay with friends for the two and a half weeks to bridge the gap??? Offering instead to either cancel the tenancy or amend the contract with new move in dates. Unable to find a suitable alternative, left us having to use Airbnbs, hotels and storage facilities for all our belongings for the two and a half weeks cross over. When finally being given the keys to the property it was extremely unclean, damp and messy, with mouldy food and sandwiches being found in the cupboards???
