Amazing service from Jamal Hussain. I do not really know where to start. I have been looking for a perfect flat for the last month and it has been super difficult to find one with Zero deposit, to my liking, good location and within my budget. I simply called Camden Foxtons to enquire about a property which had been snatched up. Jamal then has spent the last few weeks working with me tirelessly to find the best flat and getting me the best offer. He has been super kind and helpful with my new flat, helping to make sure everything I require is sorted before I move in. Has been a great experience and would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a dedicated estate agent to take your requirements into consideration and understand what you are asking for. I had been looking for a property for a good few months when I found one I liked through Foxtons. Jamal showed me around and led me through the process from the beginning, and was beyond helpful and responsive. After having a few bad experiences of properties falling through after my offer being accepted, Jamal put my mind at ease by being super communicative. Even when my move in date moved slightly, he went above and beyond and helped me with the delivery issues that came along with that. If you are looking for a property, I would definitely recommend Foxtons and ask for Jamal to manage your experience.

I can see people enjoyed renting/buying using this agency but I wasn’t even allowed to use it .was told by 2 people working there that if I were to pay part of or all of the rent using housing benefits I had to provide some relevant documents.They both sent me emails listing the necessary documents to collect so I spent 3 days collecting all the documents as fast as I could so that I can try rent a property I was interested in . I collected every single one apart from. “A current or previous landlord reference, or a character reference, if you are currently in social housing this would be from your local authority or housing trust” Now I asked my local authority from my housing agent to my case worker’s manager at the homeless prevention team and was told that Camden council do not and are not allowed to give out any of these references to people looking for their own property to rent.They will only give it to the landlord themselves if 1.They think you can maintain a tenancy . and 2.If they offer this property to you themselves. So I explained that I had every necessary document including even a rent statement that proves when and how I pay my rent (should be enough for reference)to this girl working at foxtons Camden estate agents on the phone while she was purposefully blowing as hard as she could on the phone like a child .She just said that she couldn’t do anything unless she had it. Later spoke to a manager that a character reference from a “professional” like a teacher will do........how does that prove anything to the landlord .That I can do maths??????? Just found the way many of them spoke to me very insulting and this generally has been a waist of my time.hope to never try use this agent again. Here’s the email . I didn’t include the guys name.

Foxtons was of very little assistance during our tenancy. No reply to emails and very little to no support on the phone. Especially letting agents turning up with new tenants every day for several weeks before the end of the tenancy, often without or very short (30 minute) notice was horrible. One day we had 4 viewings, 2 scheduled and two turned up as they liked. I will never rent with Foxtons again. This was the worst flat and experience I had in many years.

Claire O'Donnell, Lettings Manager, is very good indeed. Foxtons found more prospective tenants for our house than any other agent. Claire successfully guided both we and our prospective tenants through sometimes challenging negotiations to a successful conclusion. In her efforts to convey the requirements of the tenants, she never lost sight of the fact that we were her clients. At the 11th hour she received unexpectedly a very attractive alternative offer to let the house to another tenant. It would have been much easier (and more profitable) to steer them to another property. Instead she made us aware and gave us the option to take the alternative. In the end we didn't, but the transparency and readiness to go the extra mile for her client was impressive.

No idea how anyone is reviewing Foxtons so highly but couldn’t be further from my experience with them. Not by choice I’ve had to deal with Foxtons Camden branch for the past 3 years and they have been consistently poor. Vital contract renewal information was never sent out, they don’t even attempt to stick to appointment times and they let themselves into a property without my permission causing great embarrassment to me and their customer. Everyone I know who’s dealt with Foxtons has similar stories to this and I’ve never heard a good thing said about them. Protect yourselves and stay away.

Foxtons is one of the Best letting agencies I have come across. Their agents such as Marina and Rezz are the best people there, who will make sure that they your offer will be agreed by working really hard. Moreover, they are honest people and will provide you an honest feedback with regards to your aspirations. They are also people such as Andrew and jamal who will call you from time to time to know your situation and thus, its a seamless service, that helps you get best of flats, even if you are not in London.

Foxtons was a pleasure to work with, Jamal Hussain in particular. I’m relocating to London from the US for work and the level of responsiveness and support through the process of finding and leasing a flat helped to put my mind at ease. They showed me a sufficient number of flats such that I felt in the end that I had made an informed decision, finding the right place that was perfect for my circumstances. Foxtons was quite accommodating and helpful given the number of idiosyncrasies associated with my transition, from adjusting dates of occupancy to validating my ‘Right to Rent’. Overall I had a very positive experience and I would certainly recommend Foxtons (Jamal specifically) to anyone looking for a flat or home in London.
