One of the worst professional experiences I’ve encountered - do not use this company! After years as a model tenant, I’ve spent almost two months fighting with every department including the MD to receive a substantial rent refund. Communication has been dire, the majority of the time I was ignored, palmed off or received a vague unhelpful response. The whole experience was nothing short of fraudulent and only my constant harassment resulted in my money being returned, albeit short of the accurate amount. How this company continues to operate in such an unprofessional manner is astounding. There are countless terrible reviews and I wish I’ve taken more of a note before proceeding. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear.

My experience with Drivers & Norris as a tenant was incredibly frustrating from start to finish. What should have been a straightforward matter of giving notice and leaving a rental property turned into an unnecessarily difficult and adversarial process. I gave notice of my intention to leave, and instead of dealing with the situation reasonably, Drivers & Norris took an extremely rigid approach to the tenancy despite myself and my housemates’ attempt to work with the landlord to find a suitable replacement. The most frustrating part was the complete lack of common sense applied to the situation. A replacement tenant was available, yet rather than finding a practical solution, the agency appeared more interested in rigidly sticking to its interpretation of the tenancy arrangements. Nothing was handled promptly, any email I sent it would take days to get a response which left me no choice but to constantly call the office. The handling of the property itself was equally frustrating. For example, we required our downstairs toilet to be fixed almost quarterly. Countless times I raised that there needed to be a more permanent fix for the toilet, otherwise the same issue would continue to occur. These concerns were never taken seriously by the agent. Overall, I found the experience unnecessarily stressful, inflexible and completely lacking in customer service. The impression I was left with was that once you become a tenant, your concerns are very much secondary to enforcing the agency’s position. If you’re considering renting through Drivers & Norris, my advice would be to document absolutely everything. Don’t assume that something obvious or reasonable will be treated that way. I would not rent through this agency again.

Very disappointing experience Unfortunately, my experience with this agency has been extremely disappointing. The communication was poor, the process was unnecessarily complicated, and I found the handling of our deposit particularly frustrating. I would especially mention Denise, who gave us clear reassurance in writing that the full deposit would be returned to us, only for the final payment to be handled differently. What was most frustrating was having to repeatedly chase the agency for updates and deal with contradictory information from different people. For a letting agency, I would expect much better organisation, communication and accountability. Overall, a very frustrating experience. I would strongly recommend keeping everything in writing if you are dealing with this agency.

Absolutely awful if you're letting. property If you're letting a property please, please do not use Drivers and Norris as they are cost me tens of thousands of pounds. They are forever changing your property managers, in one 12 month period I had 8 different ones, and there's no communication between old and new so lots of things got lost between changes. They cost me two lots of tenants through miscommunication and not fixing issues, despite me saying I'd pay for them. And with the final tenants they never told me they handed in their notice and had gone until the rent payment didn't turn up and I asked why. And when I went to inspect the property afterwards it definitely wasn't kept in a good state of repair with broken shelves, leaking taps, shower not working, carpets ruined, boiling water tap fusing the mains etc. Drivers and Norris will cost you a fortune so please do not use them.
