Bunch of cowboys. Aggressive agents, lied about school catchment area to show us properties we didn’t want to see. Other agent didn’t want to show us properties until our house was on the market. They force sellers and buyers to use their solicitor service which in our case resulted in a dispute and had to find another solicitor half way through. They are sleazy as hell.

We all know that Estate Agents are run by greed and web of misleading information. However Dexters have topped the board for being one of the most unprofessional agents out there.Dexters doesn't care about it's clients whether them being tenants,landlords,sellers or buyers...Dexters cares about Dexters and it's monetary rewards...they play all parties involved against one another in the most beneficial for Dexters way.Only use their services as last resort.

Despite multiple emails no response. Huge crack in the ceiling needs fixing for over 6months, property was filthy when we moved in despite promises it would be professionally cleaned. Dexters even made us move our date to move in claiming they needed time to make fixes and clean the property, costing us £200 by having to extend our previous tenancy, and actually did nothing. On top of this, when addressing poor soundproofing in the property I recieved a very rude email from a manager telling me if I didn't like it we could leave (at great personal expense). Pretty disgusted. Avoid renting from Dexters.

Dexters Kensal Rise, From the moment I walked into this branch the staff were first class, I explained that I didn’t want property developers or someone on a buy2rent scheme, to purchase my flat.The manager David Luxton & Riannon Edwards phoned me every Monday with updates on the sale, I received constant emails informing me of viewings, of which there were several during this second lockdown period.I have no hesitation in recommending Dexters of Kensal Rise, they couldn’t have been more helpful.David Luxton and Riannon Edwards have been throughly professional and courteous throughout the sale process... they fulfilled my request by finding a person who wanted to buy my flat and make it their permanent home. Selling or buying a property as many people will know can be a very stressful process, Dexters of Kensal Rise took so much of that stress away, certainly with their weekly update procedure, furthermore... on the occasions when I phoned their office I always got a response or a call-back if they were busy.You want an agent in your corner getting the best possible deal for you and your family, then I say use Dexters of Kensal Rise, also can I add... do listen to their advice when it comes to securing a conveyance solicitor to act on your behalf, solicitors are a massive part of the buying/selling process when it comes to the property market.Please Note... this is a ‘5 STAR’ review, I could not be more delighted with the service received from David Luxton and his staff at Kensal Rise.Joe Hylton.

Steer clear no matter how much you like a property, if it's marketed by Dexter's steer clear. Unprofessional, incompetent, misinformation and too cosy with their conveyancers which were forced upon me as a condition of sale- thus actually illegal practice, and too cosy with developers putting undue pressure on buyer. Internally an absolute mess and no idea about compliance and do not communicate with each other, and I got 'too important and busy to speak to buyers' message from a couple of 'directors'/ 'managers' when trying to escalate matters after numerous conflicting information from their teams.If you are a buyer steer clear.

If you’re a buyer I’d stay away.They’re pushy, forceful and unhelpful. They don’t answer your calls and when they do they say “oh sorry that persons away from their desk”. They never respond to your emails or put anything in writing. Have a company policy that means the house your buying is never marked as “under offer” on their site because they want to keep their marketing up. Will try and pressure you into using their expensive solicitors service (that’s their partner so they get a cut). I will never deal with them again and I’m actually very tempted to look into the formal complains procedure as I feel very uncomfortable about the whole process I’ve been through with Dexters. I would have expected so much better from an estate agent than this it’s already stressful enough buying a property it doesn’t need people like Dexters employees making it 10x more stressful.

On two occasions have I been a tenant in properties managed by Dexters (Notting Hill) and never have I experienced anything like it. As soon as you sign the agreement you will be downgraded to a level of service that no matter how amazing the property is, you will not be enjoying the tenancy. I have on both occasions become good friends with the landlords who very much also seemed to be regretting doing business with Dexters.I strongly advise you to find another property management, both as a tenant as well as a landlord.A few examples include- not being given a key after the locks had been changed, without letting me know. - Showing up unannounced and locking themselves in.- Promised me the construction site across would only be interior work when they then started to tear down the building, leaving me no choice but to ask the landlord for an early surrender.Response to comment:Dear Evie, Thank you for your reply. I find it hard to believe that you are not able to find me in your records with the information that I have shared. However, if you are actually sincere about wanting to get to the bottom of this you should not look into my details, but instead into the DNA and organisational structure and culture of your company. My review has not been written for the sake of bettering my experience or as an appeal to Dexters, but for the sake of others to avoid making the same mistake as I did, choosing Dexters.

I had the most horrendous experience ever with dexters old Brompton road office. Particularly with the unprofessional and useless director called Eleanor. She constantly lied to me about the amount of viewings and whether the keys were actually working. Please do not use the service of this agency. It was disorganised and terrible. I had to leave them after 3 weeks where they wasted my time. I will never use these people again.

Disgusting treatment by this company. Myself and my friend went to move here on Saturday it was not deep cleaned. Both nurses- we were left with dirty pillows, dirty mattresses with stains, pubic hair.dirty toilet and toilet brush and to top it all off - MOULD in the shower and on the window sills!!! Beside the bed! We have contacted them all morning to start a plan- they have not replied to ANY emails. We are left homeless with our busy careers feeling hopeless!

The worst letting and property management company ever!! They do not care about the tenants, only the landlord. As long as the landlord gets a good offer, they won’t bother helping with issues in the property. And they trick you with adding stuff to your contract after you’ve signed and paid deposit / rent so you are left with no choice but accept whatever they add into the contract.
