Unwanted emails

As far as I know, I have never used Dexters. Then why am I being sent an email from christianp …@dexters.com to my email address and beginning with ‘Dear Dean’. It goes on to ask about a property in Astley House which I apparently own. At least three emails have been sent to me enquiring about the property. My name is not Dean, I do not own any rental property and I first thought that my email address had been hacked and was quite disturbed about that possibility. Can you please explain what is going on. .

Don't trust them

I’ve been trying to rent one property they kept posting on their website and on right move since March 2021, first time in March I’ve been ignored like I was a ghost so I just gave up, I saw the same property online few days ago and I want to highlight that it was just few days ago the release on the website and I applied straight away for a viewing with no response, so I proceeded to call the branch asking to apply for the property even without viewing it , as I know was what I was looking for, they punctually repeated me for at least 3 calls that the department of letting a weren’t on office and they couldn’t accept any offer because they were sales, the last time was on Saturday evening and I asked the agent to specifically check if the property was available and he said yes and to call on Monday to put down the offer. Which I did after also send an email with the offer, but the property obviously was already rented.Do you even look at your emails or at your website enquires before accepting any offer? I specifically said I would have paid 3 months in advance and move in about 7 days and being ignored over an offer like this when the agent already knows I can provide any documents they needs is just frustrating.If you can’t do your work properly don’t.By the way, the property is still on on the website, I’m even wondering if is a ghost property they use just to attract people

AVOID THIS AGENCY LIKE THE WORST PLAGUE…

AVOID THIS AGENCY LIKE THE WORST PLAGUE EVER! (Branch: Notting Hill)Would highly suggest to avoid this agency ESPECIALLY if you are planning to rent through them. Had the worst possible experience through this agency, leaving both my wife and I stressed out for months on end.First off, the agency pushed really hard to get us to sign a 3 year contract instead of the standard 1 year contract (this is pre-pandemic, so we signed). Breakout clause could only be triggered after 18months and anything prior to that would cost us close to £11,000!In the end, we had to trigger an early termination clause and had to pay £6000+ in rent arrears and other charges. In the end they sent £1000 worth of bogus charges in an attempt to get more out of us. Thankfully, we had taken pictures / documentation of everything in the apartment which saved us that amount.Throughout the tenure, had the worst experience with the entire agency. Property management team would change every few days, so if you send an email to someone by the team you get a response and you reach back to them they'd change and you start the process again.I've vacated the property 4 months ago and paid the full amount, but still receive calls from the agency for random stuff or vendors trying to get access to the property.We had to trigger an early termination, because of the pandemic + our family growing which meant we had a change in our financial situation. However, the landlord and the agency could not have been any more inhumane. After almost 6+ months of negotiation we were able to 'CONVINCE' that we needed to trigger the early termination clause.Probably the only decent person was Shayan Waziri. But the rest of staff is as useless as a glass hammer.In summary, you'll be better off by going with another agency! Or at least don't sign a long contract through them.

Having a property to let at the moment is not as easy as it was a couple of years ago.
