Excellent Management Agents

Graziana Doronzo and Angelo Fierro are our 'go to' contacts at Dexters, for a property we rent in North London. They are always friendly and super helpful. We are never made to feel we are a nuisance (as apparently some management agents are inclined to do). We feel fortunate that they are there at the end of a phone call or email, should the need arise to call them.Thank you guys.

We had been struggling for almost a year with our previous property manager who was unable to help us fix a complex plumbing issue in our flat. We were passed onto Kieran as our new property manager who helped us get the appropriate contractors to fix the issue within a few weeks. We really appreciated how communicative he was, keeping us updated on the progress and was able to fix our problem!

Illegally withholding a deposit

Illegally withholding a depositI have left my flat 1 month ago and Dexters were contractually supposed to send my deposit back within 10 business days but they are simply refusing to do so. Every time I contact them I have to wait a few days in order to get a response which always dismisses my request and they say they need to confirm things that are already confirmed. My landlord has already confirmed the deposit can be returned in full but they still refuse to give it back to me. They have asked to deduct fees twice for things that are not receivable. From next week I will have to involve my attorney since dexters are clearly abusing their power and are in full breach of the contract that has been signed by all parties. They have of course been reported for their action.

Waste of time

So many of the properties I've called Dexters about have already been sold, are under offer etc. To the point where it just seems like a waste of time to call about their listings. Property hunting is already time consuming enough. I complained to a Dexter agent about this and he said it keeps Dexter's housing stock looking high. Yeah right, good for Dexters, lousy for customers.

Utter incompetence, no shame, shocking lies in written correspondence

Edit: Below reply from Dexters perfectly illustrates everything I state below as I have already emailed that very exact email address and they confirmed receiving my formal complaint but here of course say that they cannot locate me. Classic Dexters.Original review:For 4 years renting through Dexters and despite multiple poor experiences over the years where things are mixed up, forgotten, incorrectly submitted, referred etc, by far the most despicable act was recent when they lied to me in written email correspondence, claiming to be negotiating on behalf of my landlord for a 31% increase in rent. Turned out my landlord never asked for this and never instructed them to do this or wanted any such increase. So I guess they were counting on us not talking to eachother hoping that I would decline the increase move out and they get fees to get someone new. Separate to this at least 10 other cases where all branches of dexters from maintenance to admin have failed to follow the simplest and clearest of instructions which cost time and money of both me as tenant as well as the landlord.

Dexters Notting Hill continue the great work

Nice people but they don't do anything…

Nice people but they don't do anything unless you constantly chase them. For example they've owed me money for over 4 months now, every time I chase I get an excuse followed by a statement that it'll happen in X days. It doesn't happen so I chase again, repeat, repeat. Was similar when I was in one of their flats, the first visit for an issue or maintenance would be arranged quickly, then follow ups to actually fix the issue would not happen until I chased them.Pretty disappointing
