TrustpilotTook 10 months not to sell my flat
Dexters tried to sell a flat for me. The branch manager won my business by proposing a high valuation which in the end turned out to be unrealistic. However, I then received an offer quickly and accepted it. Then, in spite of my doubts about the buyer and several conversations with the guy at Dexters who was supposed to chase the buyer, 6 months later the buyer pulled out. Dexters put the flat back on the market and claimed to have found buyers who turned out to be false leads. After 10 months I gave up and used another, more realistic agent who isn't with a large chain of pushy salespeople. He gave good advice about pricing (and then about reducing the price), got an offer and has now taken the sale to completion. This positive experience has made me realise what a mistake it was to use Dexters in the first place.

The property management team responded very slowly, no updates and very little progress is made. Issues are dragging on and takes forever to be solved.When we first moved in our balcony lock was broken and it took in total 5 months to solved. The property was also very dirty and bugs were found.We were also left without hot water for 2 weeks which could have been solved much quicker if the team is more responsible.They takes a lot of time to get things solved even though they always promised to do it asap. We dont find the service reliable at all.

GoogleAbsolutely appalled by these guys. My mother in law passed during the period when her house was sold and her solicitor was a few hundred pounds short settling their invoice. They was advised that they would now need to wait for the balance due to probate but instead they threatened other family members and associates with legal action if they do not settle her bill for her. Disgusting

We like to mention how disappointed was the experience with Dexter, this is the first time in years of tenancy that we have experienced such a lack of professionalism and transparency from an estate agency.On Friday 9th we expressed our interest in a flat, we waited 3 days to have confirmation that the offer was accepted from the landlord, THREE, we finally received a confirmation from the estate agent after three days saying that the offer was accepted so we paid the holding deposit in order to BLOCK THE FLAT, paying the holding deposit means:"Once you have paid the holding deposit, the tenancy is assumed to be agreed subject to referencing. The landlord should not proceed with other tenants, and must not accept any other holding deposits or offers"We then received a call few hours later the holding deposit was taken where the agent said over the phone: the landlord received another offer from another agency, WOULD YOU LIKE TO OFFER MORE?In my opinion the offer from the other agency should have not going through at all, second of all, if the landlord has accepted another offer, why did they even propose me to offer more? which game do they play?No serious at all, very disappoint.I strongly reccomend to avoid this agency.
