From the landlord's perapective: Lettings team managed by Chantel was good and professional, solving problems quickly and listening to me. Sometimes local team would be let down by the external contractors (photographers) or legal team with the drafts of contract. In every case Chantel and Olivia managed to sort out the problems and closed the deal. I was comfortable with them by my side. A refreshing change in the rental market. Well done.

My son and I have rented an apartment through the Dexter agency for the past six years. The company has done an excellent job handling any issues that arose. Whenever we had a problem, for instance, with the washing machine or air conditioner, Dexter resolved it very quickly; they would always send a repair technician or replace the appliance if it was too old to fix.

They are very professional and responsible. I dealt with one of the agents, Frankey Hauxwell, to find a rent for me. She was very passionate, patient, and helpful. She contributed a lot to my property search and found a quiet, safe place to live for me within my budget. She’s also very friendly and professional. She got all communication done with the landlord in one day. Such efficiency is rare to find due to my past experience.I also met some frustrating problems during my reference check, and, thanks to Frankey again, all problems were solved in a very efficient way. In all, my property search was very smooth because of their professionalism, and I highly recommend Frankey. She would definitely make the whole experience better!

As a student and first-time renter, searching for a property for myself and three of my coursemates seemed a frightening task at first. My friends and I had dealt with several estate agents, none of whom were particularly reassuring or helpful! Then we met Frankie, our point of contact from Dexters. Frankie was nothing short of excellent throughout the whole process. Always a friendly face, he understood our specific requirements for a property (as we are all music students) from the word go. He was very regularly in contact with us, suggesting new properties which were all a great fit. Over the course of what turned into nearly a 3-month long property search, Frankie was always by our side, always easy to contact, and always happy to answer any questions that our combined complete lack of experience in the property market could throw his way. I really can't emphasise enough how brilliant Frankie - and the rest of the team at Dexters - were. From our first viewing to our first offer, all the way to the day we collected the keys, Frankie and the Dexters team were highly professional, helpful, and friendly. The next time I search for a property in London, I wouldn't even consider a different estate agent.

As a prospective buyer I had a great experience working with Lea during my search. In the end the flat I found to buy was not through Dexters, but for the weeks that I was actively searching, Lea was great about regularly following up whenever new properties that matched my criteria came on the market, and even doing a video tour of a place when I couldn't visit it in person at one point. Of all the agents at all the agencies I worked with, she stands out in my mind as someone who genuinely seems to care about helping people find what they're looking for and left me with a good impression of Dexters as an agency.

My experience with Dexters was painful from start to end. I have rented in London for many years, and they were by far the least professional agents I’ve seen.I suspected it would be a problematic relationship since the searching period, when I had multiple ‘misunderstandings’ with the agent and she had to get the office director involved to fix her mistakes. Also, they say you can only use their contractors, meaning anything you need fixing can take several months.At the end of the tenancy, they had multiple agents competing to bring people to view the flat, it was quite confusing, not to count the no-shows without any notice. One of their agents told me the landlord offered to buy my furniture for £620, which I’ll never know if it’s true since I’ve never seen that money. That was almost 3 months ago, and I have all the conversations by email.It got worse after I left. The check-out report clearly stated that the flat is in a better condition now than when I entered, which is often the case for all my previous tenancies. However, it has been almost 2 months and I don’t have any news about my deposit of £1,788.46. They are taking advantage of the fact that I moved overseas to ignore me. They rarely respond to my emails. When they do, is say they are looking into it, and it is never the same person replying.Their website says there is a complaint process, but it doesn't tell me the email. I asked for that a week ago and was ignored.

the worst property managers

My experience with Dexters has been a complete disappointment. Their incompetence is evident in the way they handle maintenance issues. Despite reporting a broken window over a year and a half ago, they have failed to address the problem. Communication between team members is non-existent, and their overall attitude, especially Busha's, is rude and unprofessional. I strongly advise against dealing with Dexters as they have shown a complete lack of care for their tenants and property maintenance.

Oren Ivgi was really great helping me find a property and get all the paperwork ready promptly.I couldn't make it on time for the viewing we had initially arranged but the team at Dexters St John's Wood was extremely accommodating and helped rearrange it for later that same day.
