I have been to several other letting agents however Brandon Gillespie is absolutely the best letting agent which I have come across! Super helpful,friendly, knowledgeable! To top it off he went out of his way to bargain with the landlord for me to have a freezer! In the end Brandon won! I would recommend him highly amongst other letting agents that play around with you and are sometimes even downright rude! 5* stars for Brandon Gillespie!!

After being put in a nightmare situation by a different, useless agency - which left us to resolve everything ourselves, including finding a new place to live all over again just 24 hours before our scheduled move - I called Dexters. My call was answered by Nicoleta, and I cannot stress enough how, within a single phone call, she changed everything. Within the hour, she had us viewing a flat that was not only much better for us and larger, but also considerably less expensive than the one the previous agents had led us into a bidding war for and made us pay six months upfront for. By the end of the day, our offer was submitted, and within 48 hours, it was confirmed, and we had paid our deposit. Nicoleta transformed an absolute disaster and distressing situation into a blessing. She is, hands down, the most professional, competent, and proactive agent I've ever encountered. There was no nonsense, no fuss - just a completely transparent approach to securing the best flat for us at a fair price. What's more, unlike the last agency, she hasn't ghosted us since we paid. Her replies are prompt, and she remains proactive and helpful. Could not recommend Dexter’s West Ken, and specifically the director Dawid, more enthusiastically! They provided excellent service and kindness as we made our way from the US to the UK, not having seen the flat. Our case was made more complicated by cross-border job verification, non-UK bank verification, etc. and Dexter’s helped us handle this seamlessly, constantly following up to make sure we all stayed on track. When we finally arrived to London to pick up the keys to the flat we rented, Dawid even offered to help us carry our bags home when he saw I was pregnant. So kind, thank you!

After the landlord pulled out of our rental contract upon signature, it took over 3 weeks for Dexters to refund the holding deposit back, as I had to chase them multiple times to get my money back, really poor service. Also, we found out we lost the property through an automated email to our guarantors, not even to us, who were set to be the tenants! Very poor experience as you’d never expect to have to chase to get money that’s yours for multiple weeks. Also horrendous communication with regards to us losing the property, not personable whatsoever.

** AFTER THEIR RIDICOLOUS COMMENT: no one ever got in touch no area director or anyone else. We leave this horrible management by Dexter for two years, it has always been like that. They post these ridiculous comments just to clean up their public image. They are a terrible agency, AVOID AT ALL COSTS Do not rent from this agency!! If you value your sanity, your health, and your basic legal rights as a tenant, run as far away from Dexters as you can. My time renting a property managed by them was an absolute nightmare from the day I moved in until the day I finally got my deposit back. They are, without a doubt, the most incompetent, disorganized, and negligent property management company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. To start, their communication is a total joke. Over a single tenancy, they cycled through at least seven or eight different property managers and maintenance specialists. Every time you have an issue, you are passed around to a new person who has no idea what is going on, forcing you to explain your situation from scratch. Because of this constant internal chaos, their negligence reached dangerous levels: - Literal Mouse Infestation: For months, we had mice running across our kitchen counters, biting through our utensils, and eating our food. Dexters dragged their feet for months, choosing the cheapest, most ineffective poison treatments instead of fixing the actual structural entry points. It got so bad, and they were so aggressively unhelpful, that I had to formally involve The Property Ombudsman just to get them to take basic action. Even after they finally did structural proofing, the mice returned because the job was done poorly, leaving us living in unhygienic conditions for two winters. - Dangerous Maintenance Negligence: We reported a broken sash window at the very start of our tenancy. For nine months, Dexters lied to our faces, claiming a replacement window was being manufactured. When I finally bypassed them and called the manufacturing company directly, I found out Dexters hadn't even started the order. Because they ignored it, the final rope snapped, and the heavy window crashed down, shattering glass everywhere. It could have seriously injured my partner or someone on the street below. - Illegal Entry and Safety Breaches: Dexters has zero respect for the law or tenant privacy. On multiple occasions, they handed keys to contractors who broke in and entered our flat completely unannounced without the legal 24-hour notice. It got to the point where my partner came home to find items moved around inside, felt completely unsafe, and had to call the police. - Moving In and Moving Out Discrepancies: On day one, the flat was a mess of defects, including a broken bath tap, a broken extractor fan, and smoke alarms that weren't even fitted. Then, when we finally moved out, they tried to use an outdated check-in report from 2014 to pin missing furniture on us that we had explicit permission to handle. Dexters acts purely in the interest of extracting rent while providing sub-zero service. They will ignore your emails, lie about repairs, cycle through staff so no one takes accountability, and allow contractors to violate your privacy. Save yourself the stress, the health hazards, and the legal headaches, avoid Dexters at all costs.

I found Dexter’s in West Kensington really easy to work with. They were responsive, reactive and proactive in dealing with the letting of my property. I had many questions and they were always understanding of any concerns I had and also very well informed. Terrible experience. I booked a viewing for Friday and even emailed an hour beforehand to confirm. After traveling an hour to get there, I received an automated email after the scheduled time stating the viewing was canceled. To make matters worse, their office is just a 5-minute walk from the property. When I walked past, staff were sitting around chatting rather than attending the appointment. Completely unprofessional and a massive waste of time.
